Has anyone here trained strictly to get higher vert? Can we think of the most optimal routine to increase our vert?
Box jumps
>>77280772I've heard jumping a lot helps
>>77280772Practicing jumping on one foot at a time. Jump on left foot for a set of whatever reps as high as you can then on the right foot. I hear people also use weights too but I feel like this would hurt your joints. Jump height is also based on your power, how quickly can you move weight from point A to point B, so power training would be best. Thing like power cleans, deadlifts, anything where your aim is to move weights quickly will all help with power.

box jumps with weights
>>77280772Yes you can train to get higher vert, but we'd NEVER be at this level. They are born with it. Like, I could train as much as Mike Tyson did in boxing, but he'd kill me every time all the time. You see, he is, well, ferocious. >genetics
