I bought a bicycle to commute to work instead of my car but I realized I'm very out of shape and get winded 30 mins in and have to stop.
what do I do?
I am not fat or anything, I weigh 107 lbs.

Eat more meat. Supplement creatine. Just keep riding.

Are you using the gears correctly? That makes a big difference in efficiency
>>
107? The wind is probably blowing you away. You should try riding an RC car to work or perhaps eating once in awhile.

Got to get your pedal cadence down which depends on your leg length and cranks. Also like the other anon said get better at shifting when you want to go faster you should be shifting up and pedaling harder not faster. on hills shift down until you can easily hit your cadence and don’t try to go faster when going up hill. Use downhill momentum to make uphills easier. Get a dropper post if you don’t have one.

drink a glass of water with a heaped teaspoon of baking soda. endurance athletes do it. I find that when I take it before a run (which mind you I don't do very often) I am capable of running non-stop. when I don't take it then there are times I need to slow down and walk. make sure you didn't eat anything for at least 25 minutes, since it turns off your stomach's acidity. although it does get digested very quickly. getting winded is your body running out of carbon-dioxide and producing lactic acid, which tires out the muscles. baking soda prevents that second part from happening too soon

Be careful, this gives you the shits when you're not used to it
>>

actually yeah! do it after having eaten something already, but have also digested it. I got runny shits only once, when I took it first thing in the morning

This nigga's technique is legitimate for performance enhancement and he explained it very intelligently. Make sure you don't start with more than a teaspoon of soda due to the digestive impact
