Should genuine fatasses trying to get in shape lose weight before they start weightlifting? Is it legit dangerous for them to be moving around dumbbells and barbells when they could be so prone to injury?

Maybe an untrained skinny guy can bench 40kg, while the untrained fat guy can bench 80kg. The fat guy has higher baseline strength and just needs to keep lifting and maintain that while losing weight. Fatties should all be lifting weights, no point in cutting down only to become skinnyfat. But definitely power lift, most power lifters are already big fatsos by choice, and power lifting will ensure you maintain your strength as you lose weight.
