Toasting in new bread, I'm thinking about getting a Asrock Pro RS instead of HDV. For RAM, GSkill flare x5, instead of whatever this is. But Adata is CL30 and Gskill is CL40. IDK which ones to choose. Other than memory, ssd and motherboard, I've boughted everything. I'm worried about the RAM and SSD.

There's also of course Balanced, which will give you framerates in between 1080p and 1440p>>102551704In new games the 4060 seems to have a significant performance advantage over the 3060. There are two drawbacks with the 4060: and x8 PCIe lane connection, and of course lesser VRAM. Those two combined can cause problems, especially if you don't have a PCIe 4.0 system. The 3060 will be more reliable if you want to think as little as possible about settings optimization and just use lower resolution DLSS, but the 4060 can get you higher framerates, especially with optimization. Of course it also has DLSS Frame Gen but that also uses more VRAM, so you have to balance the VRAM capacity in some situations. The 3060 can still use Frame Gen, but it'll be FSR Frame Gen, which is lower quality and not nearly as widely supported.
>>102551704Really depends if you need the VRAM for other tasks. In general the 4060 is better and I'd say it's only about $10-15 better. There are some VRAM heavy games like RE Village or 4 Remake, any of those RE Engine games really that eat up VRAM.

AMD people attended Gigabyte’s X870 launch event. Moreover, this year, there are indeed only the 9800X3D, 9950X3D, and 9900X3D, as there are new things coming next year.If it's really sourced from a Gigabyte meeting I'd take it with more than just a grain of salt especially only being a few weeks out. Also conceptually makes sense to at least try and steal some of the thunder from Arrow Lake's launch at the same time ahead of the holiday shopping season. It would also explain the recent retarded price hike on the 7800X3D to make the otherwise lackluster Zen 5% expected uplift on the 9800X3D seem more appealing.

I won't say I'm disappointed, but I kinda expected more out of the AW2725DF. Looks good in general cause OLED but if you're not living in the dark or running HDR content 24/7, I don't think the difference is that big with a decent IPS or MiniLED.When compared to my LG C1, it feels like a downgrade in every way outside of refresh rate. Brightness is just okay in HDR. SDR content is very dim, colors look good but you have to run "uncalibrated" color modes to really feel like it's a high-end monitor in my opinion. The sRGB mode is super accurate but so are the ones on a lot cheap monitors nowadays and it looks very much identical to my G2724D.The motion clarity on 360hz with instant response time is absolutely insane and made the purchase worth the money for me at least (only paid like 500€).Maybe it's just me being used to OLED displays and not really seeing the magic anymore.

Does Intel even offer full refunds or a downgrade on the CPU + some cash for a warranty claim? Have an issue with my CPU that seems unrelated to the current instability issue going on with them. I am now worried on whether I should even RMA my current 13th gen CPU on the off chance the replacement CPU ends up being one of those unstable CPUs. I only just heard of these issues as I don't really keep an eye on this tech news stuff. I basically have the choice of>keep shitty CPU where the solution I found works but likely results in a shorter lifespan for it>get new CPU that might have instability issues

>>102548107The irony. I was simply looking to build a new PC but kept holding off since my current one worked fine and the GPUs were having funky stuff done to them. Time passes and the GPUs are now fine but I find that the MOBOs, CPUs, and OS are having issues (not the recent instability issues for the CPU but perhaps related in someway?). I end up buying rather than stalling it out again, I hate building PCs which is likely the main reason I wouldn't buy a new one. I wish I stalled out again. I'd have completely avoided an entire two gens of garbage CPUs along with all the other equipment issues I'm seeing. Faster tech but the rate of faulty tech seems to be increasing at the same time. Lends credence to the theory that the tech is becoming too big to understand which leads to stuff like this where they don't know how to fix the problem.
>>102553424If think you are having instability problems and have a 13th Gen I'd say go ahead and RMA it. Intel is dealing with so much blowback from the problem that they are in MAXIMUM DAMAGE CONTROL mode and will send you a replacement just to clear tickets. Just made sure after installing it that you immediately update your BIOS to the latest version that includes the new Microcode Patch they issues earlier in the month that will keep the new mint chip from degrading. You can also update the BIOS now before sending the RMA request or if you don't want the trouble try locking the clocks in BIOS to see if your system stabilizes.

The 7800x3d is being sold stupid high on the second-hand used market. Same goes for 4070ti's. Include used Arc sellers in that as well. That build is worth $2k at most.
>>102556389C is best, A is cheapest, the difference between A and B, or C and D, is like a degree
>buy amd>raw performance is great>no need for fsr>drivers work perfectly>zero problems playing new gamesWhy is the 7900 XTX considered bad again?
>>102556508worse performance than the 4090
>>102556455Honda cbr 500. Much newer. Frankly I’m trying to sell both and get a rebel 1000>>102556474$2k is not *that* much lower than the bikes worth, but I already have a PC and it seems like his isn’t that good
>>102556300How bad of shape is the fucking bike in anon?>>102556428Well that answers that for the most part. >"Mechanically it's fine"Yep, I'd offer you $2k for it at most. That's if it has decent tires, battery, and starts first time.tl;dr >>102556474 is right. Seems like a fair trade. I'd ask for screenshots or a vid of the system running, with things like cpu-z, gpu-z, hwinfo, etc to make sure everything seems working right.
>>102556523>Honda cbr 500.You should join us on /dbt/. We have CB500 leg legion guild.>rebel 1000I can't into cruisers, they give me tailbone pain. My next bike is going to be an ADV. A GS hopefully.
>1800XAMD is BACK>5800X3DKino>7800X3D and 7950X3DKINOWhat can we expect from 9800X3D and 9950X3D?
>>102556592As well as a detailed list of components too. Hell, could probably part it out and even make some money on it. Wanna buy a Dell OEM 1080 blower? Lel
>>102556611Same as 7950x3d with lower power consumption. Zen5 is actually just zen4.5.
>>102555961You can do much better than a 3050, especially the 6gb model of all things. Even if you aren't interested in playing games made in the mid 2020's onwards, it still isn't the best for the games made in the 2010s.
>>102556611>Those digits>No mention of 3700/3800xSad panda, chkd.
>>7950X3Dalmost $600 on amazonwhat gives?
>>102556650What are the GOAT CPUs and GPUs?
Tfw too autistic to find a computer desk without getting bored or frustrated but the rest of the computer shit is smooth sailing easy every time
>>102556650Those sucked but 3600 was great
Why did the Phenom II and FX get so much hate? Were they really that bad?
>>102556389B>>102556404Based...but sometimes the offset to clear the ram can trigger the OCD/tism even more. That's why I refuse to have see through side panels.>>102556460Exhaust fan is GOAT in my case, pin intended. >>102556497If we're just talking coolers, yes. If you take fan placement, airflow and fan management/curves into account, it can add up to -5° or even a little more.
>>102556706not sure about what kind of "hate" are you talking about but>Phenom IIit was the whitest cpu until ryzen came out
>>102556734>>102556734>>102556734
>>102556706FX CPUs from what I remember really weren't great when it came to some open world games like Saints Row 3 or Far Cry 5, there was only so much it could have done. Funnily enough they were able to play games like Division 1 and GTA5 perfectly fine, but I assume those were more GPU dependent games.
>>102556679CPU's? 8086. Honorable mention is the k6-2. Fight meGPU's? 8800 GTX, in SLi
>>102556508marketing and lies.

>>102553321Why are you like this?
>>102553346It helps, thank you.
>>102557388you get what you pay for
What's the state of Nvidia on Linux? Last time I checked you basically had to go AMD
>MONITOR>1440p: ASRock PG27QFT2A, Dell G2724DAnything else? I think they kinda lack features and the frame looks thick.
>>102557746works fine on my machine
