Should I go for 11 24h2 LTSC in a computer meant for office use and another meant for my little brother gaming? While I don't think there'll be an issue for the first case as it will be used for work and rendering, some games require updated builds of Windows to run (ie Forza, Halo there's more I think) in which case I think it would be better to install a normal 11 and debloat it later after install. Both are 12gen intel computers so I should go with 11
>>102643836>11 24h2 LTSC in a computer meant for office use and another meant for my little brother gamingNeither qualifies for W11 normal license way? Yes for office use, maybe for the gayming. Long term support if you use W10 LTSC is also a good stretch of time in terms of how rapidly your hardware will age out. The W11 interface is different enough to be unsettling at first so you have to take that into account. W10 LTSC is a nice bareboones Windows install that you can add your own level of cruft to.I will test both using some old spare SSDs before I install one to my NVMe drive.

help me out brosfor what i know, the consumer vs bussiness windows iso, the real good diff with them is that the bussiness one(edu, enterprise) lets you disable telemetry bya group policy, thats the only real upgrade for us?what happens when somebody using pro uses shutup10, does it actually work?i will clean my system when 24h2 fully comes out and install it
does anybody's chrome lagging real bad lately?

Hope maybe someone knows what the problem is, but:I've set some of my SATA connections on my motherboard to hot plug, and I use those connections to quickly and easily hook up hard drives for formatting, backing up etc etc. I had this same setup on my previous work PC and when I connected a drive, Windows would instantly detect and mount it automatically. For some reason on this new PC though, I have to open Disk Management and click 'Rescan Disks' before the drive is detected. It's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it's slightly annoying to have to do this extra step each time.Any idea why this is happening? Is it just some setting I'm missing? This is Windows 11 if that matters.
Is there a way for me to measure how long processes are taking to shutdown when I issue the normal Start > Shutdown in windows? Since about a week my Windows laptop takes much longer to shutdown and I'm worried it may be an errant process or something strange is going on.
