KDE with the Windows kernel.
Ubuntu except easier to use and customize and actually has functional nvidia drivers. Archfaggots need-not reply.
>>102639877>>102639902basically these. even though i';ve move onto and learned the loonix eco system, i miss Windows 7 stability and guaranteed functionality. i never had to even think about how i'm going to get something to work. it just did. and 7 was still simple. built as a standalone product and not a service.Windows 7 was peak personal computer era, and now it feels like computers aren't personal anymore.
Mint with League of Legends
>>102639893omg that never gets old
i'd honestly be fine with windows 11 if it had a 100% accurate windows 98/xp classic theme (plus no telemetry of course)
>>102639208Buick Graphic Control Center
>>102639208A fully functional open source Windows clone.
>>102640847>we used to have thisI'd be content with the standard shell of 7. All it would take is a few updates to backport the libraries and shit 10 and 11 got that 7 didn't because that's really the only fundamental change. It isn't the Aero I'm after it's the just werks aspect of it.At the same time I think the windows way of doing shit letting everything shit up the system however it wants is dated. My perfect desktop would be a stable KDE Plasma with the immutability the way macOS does it, not too extreme.

>>102639208i honestly liked windows xp. it was my dream os.today, its linux because microsoft killed xp by dropping support. they had a good os with it. shame they killed it.
>>102640089Bsd feels like (and is) a true competitior to windows and macos unlike most linux based OSs. It really isn't some matured hobby project and does what it should well.-grub fde prompt gives single chance and if you entered it wrong you should fucking restart the machine.-no python-like shit, real 1337 code works behind-xorg feels like shit (on linuxes only)-everthing works, if it doesn't it's more than likely the users' problem-although not posix compliant the most unix-like systems on the marketAnd for some reason i got to restart artix one or two times to get my cursor without rendering issues on the background.Although most are not unmitigatable the end user shouldn't be forced to mess with the internals of the os to get it to function properly
OpenBSD but with the software compatibility of Linux and file system hierarchy of Windows. Also the window system is built into the kernel so I don't have to fuck with X11/wayland or plymouth.
>>102639589What's wrong with musl? I always thought it was better than glibc?
>>102639224>kiked thing based
>>102645612Nvidia drivers are incompatible, every binary compiled software is incompatibleas a normal fucking human being I see no difference in usage between glibc and musl besides the fact that half my software is suddenly incompatible for no good reason
>>102639208Literally just arch but it can run all the games and software I want it to and won't act like shit when connected to two monitors. These are the only reasons I use Windows 10 on both of my computers.
>>102639208arch
>>102639208Mac OS X 10.3 with modern bits
>>102639208Windows 7 with no spyware, modern vendor support, and an LTSC/LTS branch for a focus on stability.
>>102639224same except instead of Windows 11 I'd pick some combination between Windows Vista and Mac OS 10.6
>>102639208Loli bio PC where every input is me FUCKING loli pussy 'Anon please update the SharePoint'Whips out dick
>>102645561Okay, what's good about BSD? Why should I use it over, say, Artix/Gentoois the kernel better in any way or more secure? Since it's a lesser known project, what about software availability? How well does wine work? I don't want to make negative assumptions but it seems like work when using linux would be just as fine, so the kernel itself I imagine would have to be really good to justify using it.
