11.11 sales cont.

Everything is already from China, but in here we discuss the cheap chink shit you see on various sites.

1st rule of /csg/: if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Just in time for a new thread, I picked these fidget gun toys up today and promised an anon in a previous thread a review
>The "1911 style"
It has a surprising "thump" to it when you pull the trigger and the slide pops.
It has a safety, a slide stop and even one of those 1911 safeties on the back of the grip, all of which work like you'd expect, though none of them are at all gratifying to play with, moving the slide manually isn't very fun either, it's very smooth and light.
The only think that satiates the fidget autism is the shooting, but it's nice shooting, honestly way nicer than I was expecting judging by how it looks and how much it costs.
>The revolver one
It rattles a lot but that's to be expected.
The shooting isn't as gratifying as on the "1911" but it has a whole lot more shit to fiddle with.
You can cock the hammer, you can play with the hammer (including throwing it in and out) and spin it on your finger.
Unlike the 1911 you can fit your ring finger on the grip so you're not doing that retarded-kid-T-Rex-claw thing.

I don't expect either to last a long time but for the price it's hardly a complaint.
They're both good choice for something to fuck around with in your hand.

I just reviewed two cheap chink-shit plastic toy pistols in the middle of the night while recovering from a cold, what has my life come to?

Anyone here using co2 / air quality sensors?
All of them seem to have significant amount of negative reviews claiming they don't measure shit and just throw random numbers.
>>
>>103190808
Yeah but I soldered and programmed it myself. The CO2 sensor alone was around $20.
>>
>>103190808
most co2 meters are actually eco2 ones, meaning they estimate the amount of co2 present in the air by measuring some amount of volatile organic compounds.
actual co2 sensors are very expensive, even chink ones are like $30+, and thats just the sensor itself no microcontroller and no display included.
in all honesty, if you just want to know how clean the air you are breathing is, measuring voc contents in the air is much better metric, since there is a good chance that if the air is clean it also has a low concentration of co2, the keyword being chance

quality will vary depending on the actual sensor they are using, shitty ones will measure one group/type of voc while the better ones will measure another (really shitty ones will make estimates based on alcohol contents present in the air... yes they are that bad because the sensor for alcohol is cheap. sgp30/sgp40 sensors are very decent once calibrated). i cant recall specifically which one is which, but there isnt an enormous amount of difference, the worst culprit is normally the software layer used on the microcontroller, chinks tend to fudge the numbers on everything

the mic i linked earlier is the ampligame a8 which also makes the fifine mics. that one was the basic model for $14 and i'm trying to find out the differences between their mid-range and the budget ones
looking at the bodies it seems that the shells are more or less the same, and the difference lies in the inner components as well as software like noise reduction buttons and real time monitoring, gain knobs, etc.

Thoughts on the fantech helios ii? Looks like a decent replacement for my old logitech mouse, reviews are fine and its comes with optical switches as well so hopefully it can last for a long while. Not all label printers are thermal printers. There's also thermal transfer printers which is fundamentally different tech.
Thermal printers are like fax machines, they burn out the image on a thermal-sensitive paper that fades out in a few months.
Thermal transfer printers are like a hybrid of laser and dot matrix, using heat to fuse pigment from ribbon into anything (color vinyl, metal labels, transparent film etc) so that it basically never fades out.

That said, I cannot give any specific model positive recommendations.
I have niimbot B18 and hate how it's locked behind proprietary and very restrictive android app.
There's some github attempt at making it print bitmaps from cli on pc but I never got it to work.

Also they have a newer, bigger model that works with pc but there's no indication that it supports any normal printer apis outside of their proprietary windows application.

Hand held both phone and scope at 10x through a window.

If you wear glasses, a scope with roll-up eye cup would be better than flip ones. It's kind of a pain to flip it up and down all the time.

And if you're going to have this mostly on a tripod, a scope with a 45 degree eyepiece might be nicer.

Just be careful with these $4-$5 binos.
If you're lucky - they're quite fine, for a thing to keep in your car.
I once bought one and it was ok, but then I bought 4 more as little gifts and 3 out of 4 had their collimation completely fucked out of the box and I were unable to adjust them. Their flimsy plastic build makes also the good ones go out of adjustment very easily.

As for the optics they're better than plastic toys (I'm fairly certain it's all glass in there), there's some image abberations but totally acceptable for the price, if it was the only issue.
>>
>>103197146
Also, the actual magnification is about 7-8x I'd say, compared with a proper 10x50 binos.
>>
I really hate that the only way to buy NdFeB magnet spheres is as a weird sex toy. Why'd kids have to fucking eat them.
>>
>>103197155
>>103197146
What should I buy instead?
>>
I want a tiny camera, but unlike most tiny cameras I can find I want it to have a small focal length to see objects up close. Preferably with builtin illumination. I'll settle for something like and endoscope camera, but from what I've seen the focal length of those is pretty far. This is for a weird fetish of mine, so I don't want to answer too many questions.
>>
>>103197480
What do you want to look at with them? How will you carry them?

Looking for good value is fine and all, but you want to avoid garbage like >>103197146 or something not fit for purpose.

For example, I take medium size 10x44mm waterproof bino when I go paddling or hiking because looking at things with both eyes is nice and I don't need the high magnification of my monocular. I take my 55mm monocular to the indoor range because the 44mm binocular is too dark and I can't see shit at 50ft. (I also took the monocular stargazing only once and bought a telescope the next week.)

If you want an EDC for bright condition only, you'd want something compact that fits in a bag.

SVbony should be safe in the sense that it won't be garbage. But my Bushell bino from Costco clearance would provide better value.

Thanks anon, should I get the 29+ or 29++ for my X220? And what is the difference?

>>
>>103202731
This is how you know the sanctions and tariffs won't do shit.
The Chinese are now making cheap knock offs of expensive Chinese goods.

Are there any good 16mm nato straps on aliexpress? I looked for a while and only found this one in 16mm, but I'm not sure how good the quality of a $1 strap will be.

decent cheapo wireless keyboard and mouse recommendations on ali?
>>
Looking into upgrading my laptop. Want an i7 or better core, but ideally don't want to pay more than $250-300 for the laptop. Any chinkshit options that can help me in this unrealistic quest?
>>
Are AliExpress delivery dates accurate?
>>
>>103203422
Not 100%, but usually pretty much. Most actually seem to arrive before the delivery date for me, but occasionally, though rarely, they do arrive later by a day or two.

It'll be nylon, but it'll do the job just fine.
>>
>>103203524
Is there something wrong with nylon? Anything else you'd recommend?
>>
>>103203422
no, theyre always way ahead for the occasion that theyre late

You sure you didn't buy parts for a different model? The pro version and normal version of the M365 are kinda different from each other.
>>103203174
Just get a used thinkpad dude.

Mine looks like ABS plastic and other one I 3D printed. Neither of them smell even with hot SST40 on full mode.
>>

I have one from vevor for shipping labels and it's ok. Requires some bloatware labels and also with new labels remember to hold button for 3 seconds to start calibration (I didn't do it and it took me few hours to figure out why it's not printing good). https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005484232771.html

If talking about TZE labels, I have Brohter E550W. It's one of the few ones that can do 24mm labels, I was not able to find chink one that could do 24mm. Recommend buying it second hand, people steal them from work. Then you just buy cartridges from aliexpress.

I believe I asked in a previous thread but I went to work shortly after and forgot about it. Whats the best Heating pad for electronics work? primarily to loosen the adhesive on smartphones

What are the currently the best chink gamepads? 2-3 years ago I got myself a GameSir T4w Wired and it served me well. I was satisfied with the buttons and general build quality, but unfortunately, the left analog stick started drifting recently.
In the meantime, friends bought me a ps5 pad, but I would still like a new chink pad to gift to my younger brother who recently started playing vidya. What are some good options?
>>
>>103202137
You really shouldn't be getting chink board games, Hive especially.
It's pretty basic hexagons with pictures. If you want it cheap and don't care for aestetics, then you can DIY it from junk and that will be on the same level of chinkshit.
But oiriginal Hive chips are amazingly made and a pleasure to touch and handle. That the whole point of items that are made for touching and handling.
>>
>>103203174
what will you use it for?
depending on your answer the cost will be a hundred above $300 or possibly a hundred below it

Video editing and blender are my biggest workloads.
>>
>>103204595
you'll have to go upwards with a video card, more ram and a better cpu then
the newer versions of image and video editing use the video card to render the graphical interface and they take up a lot of ram. you might be skating by barely with 16gb if you want to multitask and have browsers open at the same time

try 2nd hand on ebay during black friday. i know my country has a 15% off coupon on refurbs right now, can also stack with a cashback program if you live in the west. last BF shopback aus had a 15% cashback capped at $50 i believe

Flydigi Apex 4

the 8bitdo ultimate pads are pretty good, make sure you get one with hall effect sticks though so you don't have to worry about drifting.
>>
>>103204397
Just ordered an 8BitDo Ultimate 2C on Ali because the coin and coupon discounts combined nicely. Don't have it yet, but it has some of the lowest tested wireless latency and hall effect sticks. Can't imagine you'll find something better in the price range.

Why can't the Aliexpress gold farmers come up with a wireless mechanical keyboard that takes replaceable 18650 batteries?
>>
>>103204992
But then you'd never need to buy another wireless keyboard, why would they put themselves out of business?

Oddly enough it's back to $16 and wasn't shipped from china

You're getting scammed somehow. I'm sure of it.
>>

Does it come with the docking station? The docking station is a massive benefit of the 8BitDo Ultimate in my opinion. v80d4

>>103205288
Yes.

>>103204992
18650 is definitely too thick for keyboards.
Flat cells are not much harder to replace anyway.
>>
>>103205332
Nope. You lose out on the dock and motion controls with the 2C, but I picked it anyway because it's half the price and half the wireless latency of the Ultimate.
>>
>>103202584
i thought so too, it said 30w in the one i bought lol.

My previous one was that one with 4 movable parts, one lasted more than a year, the other one sadly died in 4~5 months.

The best controller is actually BBW Blitz 2. People talk about Vader 4 or Apex 4 a lot but Blitz 2 blows both of them out of the water with the TMR sticks and 16 mechanical buttons.
>>
>>103205453
they're harder to source
>>
>>103202143
Sorry anon, i only saw them in the combo section, its gone now rip.
>>
>>103204818
no
my shit broke in less than two week
They claimed that I bought batch that had bad quality control and gave me full refund plus tip
I fixed it so good the controller for free but still unrelated to question. If you want a flydigi, go for vader pro 4 instead.

The new Kuru Toga M5-KH is nice, but i can't justify spending $40 on a pencil.

Any 0.5mm mechanical pencil recommendations on Aliexpress?
>>
>>103205311
He changed the price once i started ordering if it is a scam I will get a refund
