I have a windows build with a 4080 super + 5800x3d. I use both in 4k. I have a Linux build with a 6950xt and a 14900KS. Is the 7900xtx worth it to upgrade the linux machine? I have to say for all things rasterization the Linux build is just more fluid and has no micro stutters like the windows. I swear the 14900ks just rips through frames and general computing and no matter how good the 4080 super is, it just doesn’t feel powerful even when I use it with other OS’s or cpus. Something is fishy with Nvidia. I think brute forcing an AMD GPU with a powerful CPU is highly underrated. The x3d thing is absolutely overrated. And yes I do have a 5800 non-x3d as well and I can’t tell the difference between the two. And don’t even try telling me how I’m wrong because no, you don’t have two decent GPUs and 3 CPUs like me that have been mixed and matched with different OS’s.
