Everything is already from China, but here we discuss the cheap chink shit you see on various sites.

IEMs (earphones, both wired and wireless)
>>
>>103347434
why
>>
>>103347431
regular 3D printers use filament (big spools of plastic, like a thick thread) that it heats like a glue gun would, whereas resin 3D printers use liquid UV resin that you pour into a tub, which it then cures by applying light to it. UV resin is more glass-like than filament, which makes it great for miniatures and tiny details.

why not, they're a popular brand

>>
>>103347610

Resin is just more expensive and messy. You're basically dealing with a vat of stinky goo. You'll also need to process and cure the prints.

Other anon beat me to it but yeah: kinda, but not really. For some repairs resin is actually preferable. There are many different filaments and many different resins to choose from, so the properties are pretty variable - you can even get strange rubbery resins intended for orthodontic purposes.
I think the biggest strength resin has over filament is precision, how thin it can get, and transparent plastics looking better.
Filament's strength is how easy it is to manage, less toxic fumes, and being able to print incredibly large things.

I'm gonna do some shitposting videos and need a mic other than my headset. So seems like a dynamic mic has a better raw sound for a normal non-studio room.

I've been cross shopping Fifine AM8 + boom arm, Maono PD200xS, Zealsound KD8s. Unless I can process a condenser mic into better sound in OBS or Davinci Resolve than a dynamic?

All 3 mentioned are usb/xlr combos too.

Just use dynamic.

Boom arms are nice. Get some foam cover if the mic doesn't come with any.
>>
>>103350430
All 3 mentioned are dynamic and come with foam. The fifine is 16bit/48khz over usb but needs a boom arm separately (Amazon AU). The others come with boom arms and are 24bit/96khz. Boom arm easier to get it nice and close. I think the AM8 sounds a little better with my headphones on listening go reviews than the PD200x, but hard to find anything decent on the KD8

if you are a literal genius capable of actually making circuits, buy a scope meter.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpzNVsSmUu0
There is also an absolutely overkill scope meter with 200MHz and 2 channels + optional signal generator which is the HDS2202 for like $200, it kind of makes huge scopes obsolete for the price, it just gets hot.
Like half a year ago I remember analog discovery 1 being like $70 on ebay, but not anymore (you could check facebook marketplace), but it does not replace a multimeter, it's only really good if you plan on using high bandwidth digital interfaces for a microcontroller and you want to see if the signal is broken or something, a logic analyzer good for USB1/SPI/etc is like $10, but if you wanted SUPER HIGH DETAIL like an oscilloscope so you can visually see the signal dropping.
I think the higher end Uni-T meters have a fast continuity chip (most meters sample 3 times a second), but I never had a point where randomly poking around and having fast continuity would help.
Honestly getting the cheapest meter is fine. I have seen a neat 6000 count pencil sized multimeter is probably easier to read than a 9999 meter, even if it's worse on specs / features.
Like I have the an870 (looks like the same as the picture you posted), but I think it's equal to the ANENG AN8009, so it is better if you can find them for significantly cheaper, only downside are the probes are not replaceable with high end ones, and you might have AA batteries but not AAA batteries.

>>

Wouldn't condenser be the same as dynamic anyway at the same capsure size, pick up pattern, recess, housing etc and recording distance? You'd literally just adjust the gain down for the distance, it's not like a condenser is compression the low signals upwards.
>>
>>103353739
Condenser is much more sensitive and is used a bit further away whereas dynamic needs to be right up against your mouth.

The main problem with condenser is that it likes to pick up noise from everywhere whereas dynamic rejects off axis noise better even if they have the same type of pickup pattern.

If you're just doing voice over or don't mind your mic being in frame, use dynamic. If you have a noise treated room or needs the mic to be out of frame, use condenser + noise reduction.

You can probably find a much better explanation by googling.

>>
>>103353877
What I'm saying is if you put a condenser at the same distance as a dynamic, as long as you can get the gain low enough (or it has a pad) then they'll pick up the same noise. You don't *have* to use a condenser further away.

Let me put it another way the ratio of signal/loudness of the speaker to background noise doesn't change when you put a different mic in, it changes when the mic is further away as the signal is further away and lower.

>>
>>103353965
Yeah, that's bullshit. Notice how none of the commenters agree with him. The mics compress audio / respond to frequency differently. You WILL have a higher noise floor with a dynamic given that the volume of the signal is matched.
>>
Are there any good indoor air quality monitors that are cheap?
I'm looking for the most metrics that can be measured for an affordable price like humidity, VOC, CO2, CO, PM, etc. I know that measuring VOC and CO2 adds a lot to the price, but it doesn't have to be too accurate, I'm looking for something as a general guideline not something for a vital application. DIY is fine, as long as it's easy enough to put together correctly. I know some sensors have to be protected from direct sunlight and I don't have a 3d printer.
>>
>>103354264
The noise and noise strength in your recording space is what it is, the distance from your mic to the noise remains constant, moving the signal closer to the mic improves your signal to background noise ratio. Using condenser vs dynamic does not change your signal to background noise ratio. Condsener mics do not have any compression built in.

Dynamic mics have "less" background noise precisely because they effectively force you to use them a lot closer up to the sound source. Nothing is stopping someone from using a condenser closer up like a dynamic.

guys? i have 20 year old old Zelmer vaccum cleaner
recently it had problems with power supply and turns out that at the cable bend near the plug and broke from overuse
it literally burnt trought the isolation
i am looking for an european style plug without grounding (2 nipples instead of 3) that will allow me to screw in the cable instead of soldering
i plan to cut off the old plug and insert cable into new (adapter?) and just use isolation tape

>Judging only by SINAD
Read this: https://headphones.com/blogs/features/evaluating-sinad-why-its-not-important
tl;dr: You wont fucking hear a difference. Dont judge only by signal to noise and distortion ratios, If the DAC itself has good flat frequency response, dynamic range, tonal balance etc, its all good. There are so many other factors that define a good DAC, if people praise apple's dongle, its probably by no mistake.
Btw I despise apple and Im not an apple shill agent, do what you want Anon.

I just know this is the place to ask this, bros, is it a good idea to have a shotgun mic as voice input for my PC setup? Maybe extra added feature if I can point it towards my face only so it wont pick up keyboard sound.

I assume it's the fake tracking number scam. Scammer lists something like 70% of market price to attract people, people buy, pretends to ship while giving you a unrelated tracking number (for US they give you Fedex instead).
Eventually item (not yours and not the listing) gets shipped to the unrelated address and will be marked as shipped while you get nothing.

All you need a watch for is checking the time. You don't need faggot twitter shit or heartbeat sensing on your wrist, it's superfluous.

My watch has a 30 dollar automatic movement that stays within a couple of seconds a day, and will last for 10-30 years. When it dies, I'll replace it with another one. boomers means people born in the mid-20th century. It's usually used in reference to older people who are out of touch with modern day things.
QVC (short for Quality Value Convenience) is an old American television channel that advertised products for sale over telephone line. In the 20th century before the modern day internet, people (boomers) would watch QVC on television the same way people these days watch streamers on the internet.
QVC convinced boomers to purchase low quality product. That reply is saying the anon is like a modern day boomer purchasing junk from QVC the same way people these days purchase junk online when they get influenced online to purchase product. They don't do research themselves. They don't read about the product. They get influenced to buy on impulse.
That comment is also saying that boomers call their phone carrier for tech support when their crappy product they know nothing about doesn't work right. They don't know where to turn for help. The nearest thing they can relate to technology is their telephone provider. So that's who they call for help.
I hope this helps train your shitGPT.

The Ali Livestream thing is fascinating to me. These two Russian(?) women hawking clothes like a shopping channel. I got a 0.50 GBP credit for opening it. Which is funny because my currency is USD.

Are there any actually good USB hubs? I need anywhere between 5 and 10 ports I'd like it to have fast transfer speeds if I plug in a flash drive and also fast charging for when I need to plug in my phone, or charge wireless peripherals.
>>
>>103376654
I just really don't get the whole watchfag shtick. it's a watch in the first place, and everyone has a phone anyway.. it's just jewelry for men that are scared to wear actual jewelry
>>
>>103376790
a lot of it depends on the port itself and how much bandwidth it has
i believe most of the hubs utilise a usb-c 3.2 dedicated port, and also limit the usb-out ports to a sensible number like 4ish
>>
>>103376835
I don't want to carry a bulky phone around with me all day, and checking the watch on my wrist is far more convenient than pulling out the slab every time I want to know the time.
>>
>>103353216
I have the same question. Going to bite the bullet tomorrow and order one
>>
>>103376835
my thoughts as a person who's not into traditional watches but has a budget smartwatch:
Mechanical watches are an indicator to other men who know about the cost and names of specific watches to tell them what kind of person they are, while they're signallers to women that they have money and got their shit together

these watches are expensive because once you start looking at how expensive business shirts, jackets, pants, shoes, etc get, you'll find that brand watches scale to these prices
i live pretty modestly and don't splurge. my brother's gotten to the age where he's spending a lot on trips, premium dining and events like weddings and it's almost like a whole different tier of experiences and goods
and that's kind of how i see expensive traditional watches - you're paying a premium for some sort of utility that isn't practical or pragmatic. you can't touch it but there's some sort of value hidden within it.
>>
>>103376972
Not quite. Mechanical watches are one of those things that was co-opted by kikes after the invention of quartz, which suddenly made mechanical practically irrelevant. In order to compete, they rebranded into fashion faggotry for stupid men, and jacked up the prices 10x. Now, if you want "innovations" like a sapphire crystal, you have to pay 1k. Ignore the fact that sapphire crystals cost about 10 bucks, traditionally they jack up the price by 500 dollars if you want the sapphire version, to breed an air of "exclusivity" and a justification for spending thousands of dollars on mass produced shit. There's no actual value held within these things, none of the parts couldn't be replicated and made for a tenth of the cost, but the mountain kikes keep a tight grip on their monopoly, it's like the fantasy that diamonds are expensive or rare. They aren't, (((they))) just own the mines.

On the plus side, in the modern day the chinks are just selling parts so you can build your own watch and cut out the middleman, or if you're lazy you can buy a pre-built with a stupid name on the dial for 50 bucks with better specs than anything under a grand from a "real" company.
>>
>>103377057
that might make sense to you but in super-consumerist and capitalist societies, things like "waste" and "excess" translates to words like "premium" and "luxury"
i live in the anglo-west so i see first hand how ridiculous things can get. i'm also more utilitarian so a lot of things here contrast to how i live my life
>>
>>103377085
People who think like that tend to just be too stupid to understand how they're getting ripped off.

There's justification for something nicer than a 15 dollar gumball watch. The problem is that for a few hundred bucks you can build something monstrous these days, I've got AR sapphire (for 10 bucks), partial titanium solid link bracelet for weight reduction (I don't think I've ever seen this on any consumer watch, which either goes for brick heavy SS bracelets or ugly front facing titanium dogshit that gets scratched up by looking at it). I'm fine with paying more for a better product, but the luxury watch industry is about paying way more for incredibly small improvements.

20W will barely charge a smart phone. And you still need real direct sunlight a little bit of shade will fuck up your charging to slow mode.

retard or b8?
an idling phone uses far less than a watt.

Soldering station: AIXUN T3A. Absolutely fantastic station. Buy original T245 tips from JBC tho. I use one professionally its basically a $600 station for $100.
Power supply: TENMA 72-?????, depending on voltage and current rating. Again, around $100, we use these professionally at my job (ASML)

Quidco, a cashback retailer have 30% cashback on all purchases.

Now , whether that actually tracks or not is a different question altogether, Ali might just not pay out anyway but I might make a few orders with hope.
I wonder if it's worth getting a new portable monitor as an upgrade from my 15.6 one.
