>>107047528>I literally couldnt install it on fucking debian. Why does instalation have to be so painfull. What about Docker?
>>107047528>Why does installation have to be so painfulThat's just the Linux experience newfag.
>>107047558Didnt try but seems insane I need docker for suck a basic distro.>>107047585I didnt have this experience installing anything else. Sure some missing dependency or some config sometimes. But no other software is this sloppy.
If I setup jellyfin at my house can my parents install it in their tv and have it just work?
>>107047671Depends on the device. Roku has an app for it which generally works fine. Only issue I've had is my files are too high quality for roku so the mini pc has to transcode literally everything. Which can sometimes take a bit to load on first start of a movie. I had a scream 1 rip that I needed to click on twice for some reason before it played.
>>107047045Assuming you have a static IP address. If you don't, you will have to rely on SOME external service to gain access to your server, be that a domain name with DDNS, or something like Zerotier.Of course, a domain name's fucking cheap at like $12 a year.
>>107047528what versions? I just finished setting jellyfin on my Debian server.
>>107047671If you expose it to the internet yes. Jellyfin alone is not enough.
>>107046372geepeetee doesn't know the current date through api
>>107045818based
>>107047671no, you can only use jellyfin sanely from your pc like all the neets who shill it.
