>>107196331for real. I have one near my PC and because if it I no longer have to clean dust from inside the PC.also help with sleep in situations where I cant have a windows open because of noisy asshole neighbors
>>107196331They’re just fans. To actually purify the air you’d need to control the air pressure in the room, sucking out bad air and pumping in good air.
>>107196536thats why they do retard. they have a HEPA filter that filters the bad air
>>107196331I'm using old sharp purifier daily, it vaporizes 10 liters of water to keep humidity at 50% daily.
>>107196331You'll have to wait to go senile before you can tell if it helped. Or you can see the correlation between cardiovascular and neurological diseases and, let’s say, Delhi air quality. Particulate matter is measurable, so are VOCs. You can get something like airgradient to tell whether the purifier you got is a scam or not.
>>107196331I have a humidifier and it fixed my nosebleeds.
>>107196626>humidifier>cleaning air
>>107196331I have one exactly like that I keep in my bedroom. It does help a lot. It's not perfect however
>>1071963311 less plastic particle in the air = 1 less chance at cancer
If you have some sort of condition than yea, it's real and useful. Otherwise, it's useless. Your body is made to handle impurities.Unless you live in India or some other shithole.
>>107196331They help my allergies a lot
It's actually impressive because can detect a silent fart in 10 meters.
>>107196331>$300 air purifier.>shipping pallets for bed.Really?
>>107196331it makes my fap room not smell like semen even though I can see that my walls and floor are caked in semen10/10 technology
>>107196331Is it AI-powered? If it's not AI-powered then it's a gimmick.
>>107196691You think one device wouldn't be able to do both?
>>107196898OP asks about purifiers and you brag about boiling water without any kind of model number? Are you fucking stupid?
>>107196949Why are you so mad? If you need sharp model take a look at the official websiteshop.sharpusa.com/products/air-purifiers/
>>107196949>Are you fucking stupid? You are the mongolid who is unable to navigate the interent and use google and needs everything spoonfed. I wasn't even the one who posted the picture.
>>107196331I use one in my growing tent
>>107196331I bought this little levoit thing a while back. It works great in my bedroom. I live in a small 600sqft apartment and it's a bit too weak for all of it, but I run it on high for 10 minutes in the bedroom and the room just feels better.
>>107196331to make this thing to work you need stable air movement in a room, without it effectiveness is same as of a vacuum cleaner.
>>107196536I... I dont understand what this retard is saying
>>107196331I have a Xiaomi one. It helps.
>>107197012>>107197046I'm not that terminally online to have reverse image search ready or invest time into researching appliances to prove whether you're full of shit or not.
>>107197012>>107197046A humidifier is not an air purifier.
>>107197324>terminally online to have reverse image search readyIt is literally right next to the image unless you are a newfag tourist.
>>107197595Unless it is a build in function that many air purifiers have especially the bigger ones.
>>107196397I would but I can't buy MERV filters in Europe>amazonnot an option.
>>107196331>>107196536No, they are not just fans. for years I had a stupid fan and as soon as I got a chink air purifier the smell of old clothes, weed and cum vanished within 15 minutes. I am sleeping better and probably have less chance of dying now. great tech
>>107197671Sure you can.Its just a pain to figure out which automotive filter is MERV, and then what brand of that. What I will agree on, is that furnace filters are a lot cheaper per sqm. >>107196536If there existed a good retrofit for window seals, or bathroom style 20x20cm holes, that would be a option. But it would also require a heat exchanger to work right, and then it can get expensive if its not off the shelf
>>107196536if you sort by price ascending and pick the first one, sure
>>107196691>>107197595Depends on the tech, evaporative humidifiers basically just blow the air through a wet radiator being constantly washed over in a water tank, that tends to catch a lot of shit out of the air
>>107196548they do absolutely nothing moron cause you are not livin on a hermetically sealed enviroment
>>107196536gr8 b8
I have a dusty cockatoo in my living room.Since getting an air purifier (basically just a sensor controlled fan in a box with a HEPA filter, no ionizer) about a year ago my nose hasn't felt stuffed once. So yeah it can definitely be beneficial. Too bad the replacement filters are expensive. For my Coway Airmega 250 they're like €80.
>>107197671You just buy whatever the equivalent is. Home Depot had their own brand and rating system for whatever reason but I just got the closest ones.
>>107196331yeah it helps a lot with my allergies>>107196536ignore this idiot
>>107197595nothing wrong in having humidifier and ionizer in air purifier, are you guys ok?
>>107198143Except there is something wrong with ionizers.Ionizing air creates ozone which plain bad for your health. They're a stupid meme that adds nothing useful.
>>107198178Skill issue
>>107196331Let em introduce you to this amazing alternative that is FREE.
>>107198263its the pollen and dust I'm running away from
>>107198143they are ozone generators, you don't need an ionizer to clean the air, there's a reason you don't see them in industry air systems
>>107198178High quality ionizers ionize particulate matter allowing for increased clumping and filtration of impurities and produce ozone in levels below 5ppb, which is the level defined as "ozone free"Low quality ionizers do indeed produce ozone
>>107197324He said it was a Sharp, right there in his post.Retard.
Scam crap'stupid waste of money I ever spent>>107196397dont do this especially>>107196733>>107196667these basically and even they're wishful thinkingmaybe if you have asthma or brochitis or something i dunnoif youre nrmal its nothign
>>107196397Takes a really pretentious retard to come up with such a name for a filter taped to a fan>>107197671Look for M5 or F7 filters. There are no axial fans capable of pulling air through HEPA filters at an acceptable flow, which is why most air purifiers run something similar to pic rel internally.
They are far from a scam. If every indoor space had proper air purifiers or at least air flow (most buildings have abysmal air flow, even ones with mechanical ventilation.. The strict minimum is 6 ach and most ventilation systems are more like 2 or 3) we would be rid of many infections and respiratory conditions. Apparently the pandemic taught people nothing...It's really not rocket science
>>107196331it doesn't work for bird dander idk maybe I need a bigger unit. Helps a little bit but my home is still dusty so I assume its placebo. Have a small one like in the OP.
I'm on west coast so I keep the windows open most of the year until its too cold but my place is dusty as fuck. I got 2 of the the amazon basic ones and just leave it running in the bedroom. Things are definitely less dusty. I don't get sneezes anywhere near as often. But it don't notice any significant change really. Just less dust and less sneazing. I think I need one of those stupid air monitor things to see if its actually helping anything.
I bought Levoit Vital for our bedroom and I'm happy with it. Mostly for our newborn who sleeps with us. Might buy more units
>>107196331Real, but it's just a fan and a hepa filter - something you can build yourself that they up-sell for ridiculous amounts.
>>107196331Mine is great. I have seasonal allergies. My air is dirty. When sized for the appropriate space, and filter maintained/changed, they are great.
>>107196397Corsi-Rosenthal Box------------------------------------------------------------Must plan out and execute multiple variables, for a solution, which will not instantly throw away your money.*Cubic Volume of air to move*Rate that air needs to be completely exchanged in the space*Determine the level of filtration needed, on the filters.*Determine the # of filters, based on setup design around fan.*THEN, determine the power of a fan you need, to meet all the above requirements, and work against the resistance of the filters.>No, thanks. I don't live in a fucking wood workshop.>I live in a fucking house.>I'll just buy one that matches the single room size.
>>107200129Ok enjoy spending 3x the price for something that underperforms and has overpriced proprietary filters.
>>107196331If you buy a good one with a real filter and you replace regularly they can help with dust and stuff. I run one during the winter because the house is all closed up and the central air is running. If you don't replace the filter regularly they don't do shit.
>>107200603If it under performs, then yes you are a NIGGER.If you buy a JEW-BRAND RFID check only filter setup, you are a NIGGER.because you bought the wrong one, If a nigger like you cant do that, you have no business evening thinking about a Corsi-Rosenthal.
>>107196397>corsi–rosenthal boxi saw this as an answer on multiple occasions. I don't get it. I don't have all the materials for assembling one so i'm suppose to just buy one.
>>107196706Does help a lot how ?
>>107197082How about opening window for 10 minutes. Not the same ?
>>107202219Opening the window, is the opposite of running an air filter ...
>>107196331I have the one from ikea, it ramp up while /I'm cooking and capture dust, it's not perfect but I'm happy with it. I just got a second one for my bedroom.
>>107196331I have Xiaomi Air Purifier 5because it was hot in summer and i needed more cool air at night i put it horizontally on my windowsill... then because my stupidity, draft from other window slammed this window and poor air purifier 5 fell two storeys down on concrete...guess what fags, it still fucking works, just some plastic cover fell off, few dents. BUT THE FUCKING FAN BLADES DID NOT BREAK and it still works! Put new filter inside and it just werks
>>107202219you still need to open the window, because the inside CO2 rises sharply as you breathe.Air purifier is only to help get rid of some dust... it does not purify the air in a way that it removes CO2 or adds more oxygen (would be cool if such thing existed)
>>107202544> dds more oxygen (would be cool if such thing existed)plants ?
>>107202544>would be cool if such thing existedthey have something like that on submarinesalso>https://www.instructables.com/Simple-Algae-Home-CO2-Scrubber-Part-1
It is real and simple tech, it works. Get one with highest airflow and cheap filters and get one for every room.>>107202544recuperation/forced ventingmust be done well though
>>107202200It's a box fan and 4 furnace filters anon what do you mean?Home depot and other stores give you a discount if you buy a 4-pack, which is all you needIt's literally - Box fan + 4 furnace filters + cardboard for the box to stand on, that's it. Just make sure one of dimensions for the filter matches the size of your box fan, 20" x 25" is fine because one side is 20" for a 20" box fan, get it?
>>107202787Don’t forget, plants are alive and still breathe at night. You’d have to keep them under a uv light (I think) to make them work 24/7
