When I turn off my computer monitor, and turn it back on, it makes a USB sound and I get a notification that my USB mouse was connected. I assume that when I turn off my monitor it disconnects my mouse, but it's weird because my monitor is plugged into my GPU by displayport and my USB mouse is plugged into my computer's rear IO, not my monitor. Is this normal? Is there a way I can check to see if any other USB devices are being disconnected when I turn off my monitor?I'm currently on linux but the same thing happened when I plugged the same monitor into a windows PC.

Is there any way to reduce an MP4 video file by, like, a LOT?I downloaded a music video of a band's album. The video portion is just a series of 25 still images at 720p (1280 x 720). For some insane reason this takes up 60MB of space even though the individual images stored as jpegs only take up about 3MB. Is there a way to crunch the MPEG video down to just 25 single frames, each with a duration for the length of each song?
Thought I'd try dipping my toes into OpenSpy through (a hex-edited version of) GameSpy arcade that came bundled with Republic Commando, only the GameSpy arcade app doesn't seem to be detecting Republic Commando, plus the OpenSpy Arcade app tends to load stuff pointing to gamespy.com, despite me replacing every instance of "gamespy.com" with "openspy.net". All I get is a single chatroom, and it's empty.What could I be doing wrong?

Using Windows 10. Screen doesn't dim to black after 10 minutes despite setting it as so in the Power & sleep settings. I close whatever I think is blocking that function (mainly GPU/CPU intensive stuff like video players, LoRA trainers, encoders, etc) but even with the browser off the screen won't go into sleep mode. To be clear, I just want it so that the monitors (all two of them) dim to black, not have the PC itself go into sleep mode. Bizzarely, this feature DOES work when I set it to 1 minute. Not 10. I was out all day and both screens were as lit as when I left. Why won't the setting apply?For what it's worth, the keyboard is wired but the mouse is not.
