the only reason you hate it is cause you got filtered hard by it
>>
>>107369604
why would I ever want to use it in the first place?
>>
>>107369618
cause trackpads sucks
>>
>>107369604
I have an analog keyboard so I have no such issues, or weaknesses
>>
>>107369629
yes. just use a mouse, like a normal person.
>>
>>107369629
keyboard only or gtfo
>>
>>107369643
trackpoints mogs mice, so no
>>
>>107369604
But I actually love it
>>
the clit is really convenient
>>
Software side on E16 1 is dogshit, its zeroing buffer is way too short so it ends up drifting if you hold it for longer than 2 seconds. Still, have the trackpad disabled though.
>>
>>107369643
I do not have a mouse. Not even on my desktop. My desktop keyboard has a trackpoint.
>>107369733
That's just lenovo producing absolutely shitty hardware for a decade now. Your E16 has *way* more issues than just tha.t.
>>
>>107369604
i love it. i got filtered by how shit modern thinkpads are.
>>
>>107369808
That ain't "being filtered". That's simply not being a fool closing their eyes in order not to see a shitshow. Lenovo is a mess.

my first couple laptops only had a trackpoint so i got used to it
>>
>>107369604
How do you guys prefer to use trackpoints? High or low sensitivity? Acceleration or no acceleration?
>>
The mouse wheel is the most important part of of the mouse. Sorry trackfags, you can not compete.
>>
>>107370194
you can scroll by holding the middle button and pushing up/down on most if not all laptops that have a middle button and a trackpoint
>>
>>107369604
using my first thinkpad ever (T14s gen1) and it's taking some getting used to but the fact that my hands never have to leave the keyboard is pretty fucking convenient. It just takes setting the accel just right so you don't overshoot things until you're used to it.
>>107370247
This. The trackpoint provides a set of three mouse buttons right at thumb distance even for giant hands like mine. Trackpoint is fucking convenient as shit.

I got filtered by a troll. What should I do I humiliated myself by crying and crying endlessly to a troll that win the debate and now I am butthurt and created two threads about how butthurt I am.
>>
>>107369604
Modern (15 year old macbook) track pads are way better
>>
>>107369643
>>107369618
>have old thinkpad
>trackpad starts glitching out
>disable it and decide to try this thing because don't wanna use a mouse in bed
>it takes like 15 minutes to learn
the only thing I did was lower the pointer sensitivity a bit
>>
>>107370615
It is not an old thinkpad if it has a a trackpad.
>>
>>107369604
I really hate that thing when it starts pulling one direction like your car pulling to the right and you have to reset your hands for a second. Very disruptive.
Also I don't want to be pleasuring robot clit all day. It's uncomfortable.
I thought it was cool as a kid. Kind of insane that I played AOE2 on a 800x600 display with a trackpoint and enjoyed it.
>>
I wish more mechanical keyboards had trackpoints. I really liked them and I miss them.
>>
>>107369648
I used i3 and tried this for a few months but I had to go back. A mouse just makes your life so much better. It's like okay I *could* steer a car after learning some ergonomic finger input system that supposedly is more efficient and gives better control but at some point I'd need to be honest with myself and just use the fucking steering wheel.
>>
>>107369604
I have absolutely no feelings towards it because I literally don't have any opportunity to need it
99% of the time I'm using keyboard + mouse
>>
>>107369604
>You remember when mice had balls
>I remember when laptops had clits
We are not the same
>>
>>107371031
Computers are old computers after 5 years.
>>
>>107369604
between the existence of trackpads and mice (especially mice) i almost never had a reason to use it but for what it is worth the roboclit made some mundane computer activities marginally more entertaining. and that's worth something
>flinging the cursor at a button from one corner of the screen and trying to time the click
>>
>>107369629
They used to suck.
Apple and Microsoft solved trackpads like a decade ago.
>>
Lol using it since you told me to OP and now it makes me rember when it was playing with the clit of my ex lol.
>>
>>107369629
how do you use gestures without a trackpad though
>>
>>107372434
Shittier alternatives to keybindings.

Try wearing gloves while you mess around with your gay gestures
>>
>>107372487
uhh, thats why i get the gloves without fingertips
you cant type with gloves on anyways anon
:)
>>
>>107372511
I also wear fingerless gloves at the computer because I refuse to run my heat. I go sweatpants, socks, houseshoes, tee shirt, cardigan, towel robe as a coat, fingerless gloves
>>
It’s not too bad as a backup option
>>
>>107372548
def prefer it being a little chillier and bundled up too
>>
>>107372511
What
What gloves do you use anon that do not let you type?
>>
>>107372548
I used to do that before I got a keyboard with a trackpoint.
Life changing experience

no no, i use gloves that let me type esily, still use gestures/trackpad and my phone
ones that cover your fingers make it very difficult to do much though
guess i could have been a bit clearer about that

very cozy ^^
>>
>>107369643
How do you bring your mouse with your laptop? Do you put it in your purse?
>>
>>107372925
nta do you just cary your laptop around without a bag/backpack anon?
or are you that much of a pleb
>>
>>107372945
yeah, I carry it on top of my head like a hat
>>
>>107371031
it's like 13 years old at this point. I dug it out from a pile of junk in grandma's attic a couple years ago, despite having 4 newer laptops, so it's old to me.

it's great utility though since I could fit an LTE card into it and now have mobile internet wherever I go without needing a hotspot.
>>
>>107372925
you put it in your backpack like everything else
>>
>>107372963
you're not beating the indian allegations with that
kek
>>
>>107369604
no its because it doesnt fucking work most of the time
