I'm still using my node I made for SDXL back in the day that came up with a resolution based on an aspect ratio and a number representing the swiare root of total pixels (so 9:16 and 1024 would mean a 9:16 resolution with an area equal to 1024x1024). It also did a bunch of other shit for SDXL's special conditioning inputs (shame nobody ever used that again, it was a good system), specific buckets used in SDXL training data, etc, but none of that matters anymore
