Why not this? Took me literally one week to git gut at same proficiency for everything but gayming. Oh right, this solution doesn't involve consoooming.
>>
For gaming, it's more ergonomic to move your keyboard to the left. You keep the same angle of both arms and you get the mouse space.
For desktop work and navigation, focusing your workflow to be keyboard centric will have your hands on your keyboard 90% of the time. TWM, Vim, Vimium, keyboard launcher, all that jazz.
>>
>>108883720
So you'd still have to move the keyboard further left for gayming, and to the right for general use. Instead of moving the mouse to the right when gayming?

Are there any modern beige mice worth a damn? The Lofree Touch PBT is ugly as sin, yet it's like the only offering on the market.

Hell, I was back on the hunt for that elusive beige USB-C to USB-A cable, and even after trying to find a straight one that I could coil on my own, it's still goddamn unobtainium. Four years ago someone got one from Ali for their F77 repro and now it's gone. Are there any factories selling on Ali that could offer such a cable, be it on their store or if asked directly?

Alibaba sometimes (but not always) have "minimum order 1 unit" or small samples if you dig enough.
>>
>>108883676
most people are right-handed
>>108883773
do you trust plugging the random alibaba shit into your computer?
>>
>>108884244
But I am right handed. I switched the mouse to the left for a week, only switching back when I needed to do something I was struggling with on the left side, then going back as soon as I finished. One week and my right-handed old brain could click any small button with the left sided mouse with no problems. And the keyboard's main area was centered, arrow keys and numpad on the correct right side. Everything just werks. No more shoulder pain from either mouse too far on the right, nor keyboard typing area too far on the left.
>>
>>108884244
nta but to be fair, most shits are now made in China, especially keyboard PCB
>>
NUMPAD IS RIGHT HANDED YOU FUCKING RETARD YOU NEED TO MIRROR IT
>>

Did you read my post? You wouldn't gayme like that, you'd switch the mouse to the right when doing that anyway.

Look at picrel.

>Fig. 1
Hands for typing are great. Occasional mouse or arrow keys/numpad usage is ok.

>Fig. 2
Good for typing, but horrible for mouse usage. This is the reason people create mouse-less WM and other keyboard exclusive workflows.

>Fig. 3
Great for gaming and perhaps some works that is heavy on mouse usage (like image/video editting). I'm not sure, but I think that work would focus on left hand only on the keyboard doing Ctrl+ZXCV and the like. But horrible for typing-focused work.

Anyway, if you use mouse on right, you probably have your keyboard at fig. 2 for typing, and when you game you HAVE to move the keyboard to the side into fig. 3 anyway! Since you HAVE to switch from one way to another for gaming, why not switch from fig. 1 to fig. 3 on the rare occasions you are gayming? This doesn't apply to heavy gaymers and people who work primarily with a mouse, obviously. The main FUD that my post was attacking is the one claiming that lefty-mousing is hard: takes about a week to git gud. I'm sorry for any soiboi who can't take mild frustration for a week.
>>
>>108884847
What OP proposes is a mirror of Fig. 1, which would be great, as he implies. Except now you need to con$oom a cu$tom keyboard, and you break the assumptions that arrow keys/numpad are on the right, that many software still make (because who even buys funny weird keyboards like the ones on OP anyway?). The assumption that the mouse is on the right is less common (except for gayming) because muh lefties and muh accessibility.
>>
Thoughts on this cheap piece of shit?

>tfw using mouse acceleration for almost 3 decades

Feels good man.

What are my choices? The market is plagued with the miniature cuck boards without numpad and there's like trillion switchtypes.
>>
>>108882852

>>
>>108884847
for my home office I just bought a tenkeyless board and a separate numpad that I put on the left

Mouse to keyboard placement
>>
>>108882852
You don't need numpad and mouse at the same anyway. Also nobody ever gave much fuck about lefty gear so if you haven't learned to use mouse with right then that's on you. Also I prefer dominant hand on wasd.
>>
>>108882852
Are there even any good keyboards with the 2nd layout?
>>
Quietest premade wireless 80 or 100%?
>>
>>108886917
none

buy whatever you want, make sure it's hotswap and then just put in some silent bluish whites, blue stars or lichix raw silents
>>
It's been 3 or 4 months now
I wonder if I should open up my rainy to disconnect the battery. It doesn't appear to disconnect the charging when turned off, so I guess it gets trickle charged at 100% perpetually since I never have a reason to use it wirelessly.
>>
>>108882852
>100% keebs are bad because mouse placement
Left handed GODS win again.
>>
>>108887227
I was hoping for premade extra soundproofing beyond just switches, like stabilizers and board padding and whatnot. Be Quiet made some keyboards supposedly focused on that, but sadly, only wired. They'd have been pretty perfect if not for that.

elecom huge plus came week ago from japan. As for work its still better for me to use normal mice. But im trying to use trackball as much as possible and its joy. Still few issues with that model, i would add bigger palm rest and scroll wheel, u have to get used to it. But 52mm ball is miles better than normal 34mm thumb stuff.

This is pretty funny.
https://www.igorslab.de/en/the-530-euro-error-my-experience-with-the-new-edition-of-the-ibm-model-f122-as-a-classic-with-corners-edges-and-a-lot-of-sound/
A Kraut buys one of Joe's repro. Is upset that it's not a perfect product despite everything on Joe's site saying what you're getting into. The forum is full of butthurt Krauts that jerk themselves off to Cherry's superiority, because of fucking course they would do that, then Joe jumps in to write out an entire paragraph about how good his product is and how it's Igor's fault for all the issues (which desu is the case, fucker refused to read any of Joe's disclaimers), only for the Krauts to remain butthurt. Oh year, and that fat fuck Igor implied he thought about suing Joe over him not reading all the caveats with his one-man project.

Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with these "people"? Are they just eternally butthurt over losing two world wars and becoming a laughing stock of a nation that they're this assmad about the entire world?

Though the whole tape and polyfill mods Igor did interest me. I guess just stuffing a bunch of foam and cotton helps to reduce the hollowness of the sound and won't cause any short circuits? And the whole tape mod seems to be a thing for MX style keyboards as well, so you just put a bunch of pieces of tape on the backplate and that absorbs sound?
>>
just buy a k120 and be happy

>>108889271
Germans are notoriously easy to butthurt. Similar with the Japanese. I think any country known for good engineering is basically a country full of autists, and like any autist they are prone to butthurt

your drawing is retarded. it makes the neutral position of the arms/hands be on the home row, which means the person has shoulders 5 inches wide.

pic rel is >>108882852 overlaid with a green box 19" wide. the edges will be where your hands/arms are at a neutral position

by getting a TKL (or moving the numpad/navigation to the left) you can drastically increase space for the mouse which also improves ergonomics.
>>
>>108883676
I learned to use the mouse with my left hand because I injured my right hand. Now I can use full size boards because mouse space isn't an issue anymore.
>>
>>108892253
I learned to use the mouse with my left hand because I wanted to fap.

Troon layout for troon keyboards. I bet every faggot on this gayneral even uses RGBT lights and uses the loudest most obnoxious switches that matches their subhuman personality too

hey I've been using colemark for over a decade.

that is just sturdiness, and it doesn't matter if my keyboard sits on my desk. i have had my g80-3000 for many years now, and for some reason, it didn't snap in half from me typing on it every day. please explain why i should care? what is the issue with it not having a switch plate? it works just fine without one.
