Are the people that claim they are sending out 100s of CVs per day shitposting or larping? How can you realistically send out more than 10, when many companies have you fill out a bunch of shit on their site when applying? How can you even take the time to read the posting and see if it is minimally aligned with what you're looking for?
>>
>>108950514
How have all of these 4chan terms become fully mainstream? Chud, larp, mog
I thought 4chan was irrelevant.

There is truly nothing new under the sun, even things that are new, are inevitable. First we needed radio before we could think of phones, but it's all inevitable.

The freest minds think of things the first, and there are none more free than the NEETs of 4chin
>>
>>108950514
why do neets need so long to make a new thread?
>>
>>108950786
Maybe you shouldn't use retarded keyword matching to filter out good applicants then?
>>
>>108950731
These are not a good example, but it's a thing indeed. Some time ago there were hordes of wild SEOs, SMM people who tried to establish their own brand, channel they would feed media slop in and get money out of.
They would post stupid memes they've seen on 4chan. Funny pictures. Cat pictures. Anime grils and so on.
After they attracted enough people who would subscribe to their feed of media shit, they'd start filling it up with aids. Buy this, pay for that, follow this link, use that referal link etc.
Web 2.0 stuff. User generated websites were all like that. Some of them were genuinely created for fun, later monetized. Even places like 4chins itself.

you make a jinja template with a couple of switches, a script that generates a PDF from it and configure an agent to filter feeds and select jobs to target

then you go and rapid fire fill shit out copy pasting from a scratchpad you've got. you can also automate this part but I find it doesn't actually take much time if you've got the docs and bullshit prose ready to go

my record so far is only around 50 per day so there's room for improvement

I was going to make a new thread tomorrow, when the fact we are unemployed would be relevant again. It was going to be "/utwg/ - Anarchist Tintin edition", and would include a link to the comic I posted in the last thread but which nobody read. I recommend it a lot. It's all about worker uprisings. Some of you won't like it, but I guarantee that at least a couple of you will really enjoy it.

I don't understand how it takes more than 2 minutes to apply. Almost all job portals automatically parse your resume and fill out the fields for you. Even 2 minutes is too much. Realistically it takes like 30 seconds. Then there are one-click portals like linkedin, indeed etc. where you don't have to upload resumes every time. They take like 10 seconds.
>>
>>108954364
I got laid off a year ago. still unemployed
>>
>>108954911
0 job portal ever parses shit, you have to manually enter everything. Furthermore they demand a cover letter personalized to the position and automatically throw shit away otherwise, and 100% of job portals also have gauntlet of specialized questions. Shit like easyapply is a trap that goes straight to the trash. Indeed only has job offers that are 2 years+ out of date, when they even have anything. Linkedin applications are mostly fake, i.e. you have to find the company and apply on the website because they use the referer to autotrash your application.
>>
>>108954926
just use an extension like simplify.

cover letter usefulness is debatable. I don't think they read it.
>>
>>108954947
Cover letters are useless, but still required. The way it works is basically: no cover letter -> straight to trash. Irrelevant cover letter -> straight to trash. Relevant non-empty cover letter (never actually read, just glanced at) -> you get to be evaluated by a bot. No human will ever read it.

>just use an extension
Just stop backpedaling

Last week I met some small german 18yo females from the local communist party at a bar. They were calling things the other said „based“ as if it was the most normal thing ever. They are from bumfuck nowhere and don’t even speak english. I am still confused
>>
>>108954988
did you fuck them?
>>
>>108954996
Of course not. This is how you get sued or std‘s. There was one hot one in the group but I couldn’t talk two sentences to her before getting interrupted by the group-alpha: Your stereotypical dyed-hair <160cm landwhale with glasses. She was constantly talking about muh trump and muh billionaires before that, just like the 2016 sjw memes, surreal. Really. We don’t even live in America.

I enganged with her. Knowing I had nothing to win, I at least tried to have my fun playing naive. I showed some interest in the party and agreed with some sensible things, then just asked her to explain things like economics and stuff to me. I let her talk and asked questions until she contradicted herself or got confused and switched topics, wich was at least entertaining to me and the barkeeper and some guys next to us. She got pretty drunk and made a fool of herself screeching stupid politics shit noone cares about anymore. These people are deranged. At least binging internet politics stuff years ago finally paid off.

I have two offers.
One for Barcelona and one for Amsterdam.
Base pay is the same. Barcelona after tax I would be able to afford a good life, big house, car, etc and start a family. It’s a senior role.
Amsterdam is big tech but entry role, housing and taxes will eat my ass. Brand recognition will help down the line as well. Higher earning potential.

What do.

traverse through the linked list, store the nodes in an array, and then create a new linked list from the array. or just swap pointers using a temp variable like the other guy said
>>
>>108964032
three answers
>traverse through the list
>add each value to an array
>convert the reversed array to a list
correct

>dfs through the list
>once you reach the end, return the last node
>recurse upwards, each time making the current node the next node of the list you just received
>so 1,2,3,4,5 -> 1,2,3 || 5, 4 -> 1,2 || 5, 4, 3.. etc
>list ends reversed

>create a dummy node
>for each node, attach it to the dummy
>then attach the next node to the dummy and make it's next the previously attached node
>so D - 1 -> D - 2-1 -> D - 3-2-1, etc.

An award winning modern horror film - "Job interview"

Synopsis:
Cole is a 23 year old underemployed CS college grad. He gets home from his shift at target to interview with a fortune 500 company for a junior role. The interviewer is an indian with a thick bangladeshi accent. Cole can barely understand the interviewer, but nevertheless tries his hardest. At the end of the interview, Cole is told that this is the screening round and he has 4 more interviews left.
Depressed, he goes on his phone and opens up Hinge. It only shows him 22-27 year old fat women. Furious, Cole gets in his car to try and eat the pain away. He pulls up to the Mcdonalds drive thru - "hello saar what can i get for u today??". The drive thru worker is indian. Cole goes to costco instead. Everyone around him. Indian. They swarm the free samples, taking everything.
Soon after, Cole drives to his dad's house. His parents ask about his job search. "Have you tried linkedin?"

How do you guys maximize ratio of application to interview over time? My biggest hurdle is simply not getting it. Once I do, I have a 30/40% of getting the job. But I get ghosted so many times that at this point, I feel like I should bullshit my resume (e.g. swap out the languages I used with what's on the job, extend it for a year, etc etc)

They said it's used differently now, but it really isn't. If you could travel back in time to 2016 /fit/ and post "clavicular frame mogged by asu frat leader" with a picture for reference, everyone there would have understand exactly what it meant, and be able to correctly identify which person clavicular is, and why he was frame mogged.

The coach is probably retarded, because if he was good at getting jobs, he would have a better job. But admitting to him that he's a useless shitter is something that only autistic people do. >>
>>108980640
>>108980741
I really don't get it. You got the depressed autistic loser part down, but when someone wastes an hour and a half of my time and ends it by directly asking me if it felt like a waste of my time, what am I supposed to say? "No, this was great actually, we should follow up (so we can continue to waste each other's time)"? Or "I really enjoyed listening to you talk about that personality test you had me take that brought mind-blowing revelations such as my inability to command a room (as if I hadn't figured that out just living my life)"? It's not like I'm on a tight schedule, but I was under the impression the meeting would be about getting a job, not the most basic personal life advice I've understood since high school. Why would I lie to him?
Do you mean I could have worded it better? You're right, but I felt it appropriate to use his answer word-for-word.
Or if you mean that it wasn't a waste of my time, then I'm just not seeing it.

It seems like this is the only route anyone can take if we're "depressed autistic losers" since you can't just apply for a job and get a living wage off it anymore. If you won't care then I won't pretend to care. Please read this and go "uuuu you wont do anything pussy uuuuu" as if you aren't setting up an entire generation whose literal only option to eat anymore is banditry. Or like the most likely victims (job thieving jeet families) arent hated by absolutely everyone. I'm sure it will all work out just fine. Now go get your GPU and put it on the floor, job boy.

It's a LARP. I fell for it. I think it stemmed from the saying "make getting a job a full time job".

What ends up happening instead is you waste months (in my case 1.5years) learning nothing, losing skill and practice at whatever it is you knew or were developing, in replacement of getting good at filling out shit sites job applications.

What to do? Do NOT "make getting a job" your full time job. Do it for a few hours at most, ignore or reject any offers involving long assessments, and multi-phased hiring positions. You will suck your whole day doing nothing.
>>
>>108972277
Same. I have nothing. I have wasted my life. Here. On computers/tech. On school/degrees. Im almost 40. 15 years of bullshit.
>>
there's literally a bajillion things to learn about every language how am I supposed to know this shit if someone isn't paying me to study for 8 hours a day
>>
>>108994420
yeah I should've spent more time learning. I was applying a lot and got many interviews as well because of the sheer volume of applications I sent out but blew all of them because I was underprepared. There needs to be a balance. Job hunting and preparing is much harder and time-consuming than a full-time job.

Lifecycles of those species is so short. Even if reincarnation was real, and you got brought back as an ant, it be a blink, a relative toe stub in your souls life. Im so scared there is no afterlife. I love my family, and think about them leaving me forever. Worst part is it will be forced break up rather than like a gf or friend leaving you. Itll be like two people who love each other kidnapped and seperated for eternity. There has to be a heaven, else reality of existence is too painful to enjoy.

How do I start networking to get a tech job? Do I need to go to a tech expo? How do I go to a tech expo? Is it free, idk how much more money I can get from my parents. Tech expos are just where everyone talks about tech right? Then I just turn to the person to my side and invite them to explain their stack to me? Then I add them on steam or something?
>>
>>108994447
You can't get the job if you don't have experience, and you don't deserve the job without experience. The only question is, how do you get experience then? This has been an issue for easily 50 years, probably 100 years, maybe longer. But every year, there are new university graduates who think they're the first people it's happened to. But that doesn't bode well for anyone figuring out how to solve this issue any time soon.
>>
>>108995611
There are usually professional networking events you can go to. My old job used to host some; they were shit from what I've heard. A typical such event will have the employees of the company hosting it, some of their customers, a bunch of sales vultures trying to get some deals from the people there, and a couple of people looking for jobs. I think they're usually free, but you need to register in advance and might need to create an account or something.

Do I have to wear a watch?

A human being going about an ordinary day emits roughly 0.12 gigabytes of information. This includes about 115 megabytes of spoken audio, 60 kilobytes of linguistic content, 12 kilobytes of written text, and 20 kilobytes of subcontextual signal such as tone, timing, and microbehavior.

Over an 80 year lifespan, this adds up to about 3.5 terabytes of raw behavioral exhaust.

Once you account for the heavy redundancy of human routine, including repeated phrases, predictable environments, and stable habits, the lifetime stream compresses by a conservative factor of five. After this reduction, the total becomes roughly 700 gigabytes of structured, non lossless information.

From that point, subtracting the predictable and noise like portion of life removes the mundane actions and repeated sentiments that carry little entropy. Assuming that ninety percent of the compressed stream is predictable, the remaining anomalous payload is about 70 gigabytes. This represents the sum of surprises, turning points, deviations, and unique behavioral signatures that actually update a model of the person.

A lifetime of deliberate creative output adds another layer. The magnum opus payload for a prolific thinker, writer, or creator typically totals around 70 gigabytes when you include manuscripts, drafts, notes, audio, and supporting materials.

When you combine the anomalous events with the curated lifetime works, the meaningful informational core of a human life settles near 140 gigabytes.

In practical terms, after stripping redundancy and noise and isolating both the anomalous events that define a person and the intentional works they produce, the entire significant informational footprint of a human life fits comfortably within the storage capacity of a mid range smartphone.

Took four months to finish a month and a half project. I'm pretty sure my boss is fed up with how slow I am on everything. I'm too retarded and spergy to figure out how to use AI.
>>
>>108997105
Might be harder than it is now than in 2019 just due to the job market and the sheer amount of people applying, but when I applied, it was easy. No interview and no resume. Honestly they'll take anyone with a heartbeat. I just went to a hotel where they held orientation and did a drug test and I'm all good to go.
Since it's near Prime week they'll probably be on a hiring spree. There are 2 Prime weeks per year and a Peak season around December for Christmas. Around those times is when they'll start bringing in new hires.
>>
>>108997138
Thanks for the info.
>>
>>108997147
No problem anon. If you do get hired you'll probably get hired as a white badge (temporary) and they'll probably sack you once heavy season is over but if you keep up the application you can be converted to blue badge (permanent, full-time).
Depending on your type of station the work can be physically easy with management breathing down your neck to a bit more physically demanding but more free from management.
I work at a delivery station so it's more physical labor than the other types of stations and the hours are fucking ass. Depending on the station or state, it can be 4x10s (4 days, 10 hrs starting at 1am) or 5x8s (5 days, 8 hours, 3am).
I realize this doesn't sound that good, but Amazon has amazing time off system and loads of benefits (401k, dental, vision, health insurance) and also career choice.
Re: time off system, Amzon has 3 times of times: unpaid time, personal time, and vacation time. All three accrues by hours worked. Vacation time needs approval. All submitted through mobile app or online. Basically I can literally walk out the job without telling management and still keep job because I didn't go into negative regarding my times.

Computer science was largely depreciated by AI. You don't need to "think" about programming like it's 2017. Warehouse experience is more valuable. The only skill that matters is manipulating retards. Learn how to tard wrangle, that's the absolute killer skill which will allow you to master everything
