Can humans give true random numbers?
>>

>>
>>61419568
They can't even give reasonable quality pseudo random numbers. Humans are horrible at being random especially older humans.
>>
>>61419568
Yes if they use random stimulator like throwing a coin. If you prohibit doing anything and stop human from getting any sensational information - no (unless human starts using noise in what his eye sees as entropy source. Try closing an eye and pressing the eyeball for a quick example).

computers take "random" data from the environment they are in. Servers tend to be less "random" because they have less input data, and often use the data the internet is sending them, and can therefore be somewhat predetermined.

Humans are not much different. Without input, we freeze up, but since we usually always have the minimal input of our senses, we should be able to create a "random" integer, but brains are easy to deceive.

To be honest I wouldn't trust a human to be a random number generator. I'd rather have a semi-random machine.
>>

I disagree, a lack of truth is a greater leap of faith than operating on the assumption of a truth. If you are solving an equation, would you first assume it's unsolvable?
From what we know of the universe, the closest thing to the truth is reality is deterministic because the universe has laws.
But as we come to know more this may change.

I have mixed feeling about randomnes in humans (even in computers) enviroment aftects randomnes ALOT, exposing a group to certain things will probably give a predictable number.
Most of those that answered with a number just got influenced by a faggot and ended up writing the same, then some wrote a random number but it was very short, from minus infinite to plus infinite chosing the first 100 numbers dosent look very random to me. Then we have the ones that typed larger numbers but their hands fucked the randomness very hard 345345 <-- not very random.

Duno OP, somthing is limiting us to achive the ultimate randomnes
>>
is anything truly random though
>>
>>61421848
You can easily get unbiased random numbers out of a biased coin. Rather than recording individual flips, instead record pairs of flips. Discard all HH and TT pairs, and count HT as heads and TH as tails. Even if the coin is biased, and, for instance, lands on heads 75% of the time, the probability that it will land heads then tails equals the probability that it will land tails then heads, since the previous result doesn't impact the next throw (ie, the coin throws must be independently and identically distributed, but they don't have to be fair).

Ta-da. Useful trick if all you have to flip is a rock, piece of wood, or a coin you suspect might be biased.
