Mechanical keyboards.
I bought this 60$ heavy block of shit and I still regret it. I don't get how anyway can say mechanical keyboards "feel nice". I mean yeah, it feels DIFFERENT, but not noticeably BETTER in any way. If anything, it's actually slightly WORSE because you don't get nearly as much physical feedback on when the key you pressed was actually pressed (and I went with the Cherry Brown switches so go fuck yourself if you're gonna say I choose wrong type). Motherfuckers who say their word-per-minute rates increased after they switched to mechanical are lying sacks of dogshit and will burn in the 9th circle of hell for being shameless shills.
After about a year of forcing myself to use it to justify my purchase, I switched back to my comfy 15$ Micro$hit curvy keyboard I've had for over 5 years.

Code is fucking shit, though.
If you're going with Micro$hit's IDEs (and I ain't gonna blame you, their dev tools are pretty much their only product that doesn't suck fat hairy blue screen of balls) at least go the full way and get Visual Studio. Even the Hippie Freeloader editions are excellent, and are much more comfortable to use than this Sublime ripoff.

That's not what brown is for. You want blue. Also, you are a retard. The key strokes are objectively smoother on any medium-tier mechanical keyboard when compared to almost any "high end" non-mechanical keyboard.

No, you motherfucker.
Just no.
Working with GIMP is like working with two hands tied behind your back. And you don't even have the tools to use with those hands. So you hammer on the problem with your bare knuckles until you crash and fall because the ladder you were working from was designed and made by some libertarian nutjob basement dweller as an afterwork hobby project.
GIMP simply lacks vital workflow features and functions to make it half as useful as photoshop can be. It's not just a matter of re-arranging the icons or remapping the keyboard shotcuts. It's really fundamental stuff like content-aware scaling, quick selection, selection edge refinement and heal brushing which either doesn't exist on GIMP or exists in really bad niggerified versions.
And just like every single other Free™ piece of shitware I had the mispleasure to use, it crashes every 5 minutes (which is only moderately better than Inkscape's 4.5 minutes or Blender's 0.017 microseconds).

Even if we concede that GIMP is a viable alternative to Photoshop (it's not), what other possible Freedumbs software or software bundle can compare with the rest of Adobe's suite? What is the Linux equivalent of Premiere, InDesign, or, god-forbid, After Effects? Moreover, what other software bundle can compete with the sheer productivity-increasing INTEGRATION between all these aforementioned programs?

I mean, I run linux for shitposting and Facebook but seriously, what's the point in professional environments? You think you get credit for maintaining a shaky community-driven FLOSS system that doesn't officially support software you need to use?
Escape the NEET mindset, anon. There are professional tools made closed source and binary distributable by corporations, and then you go home and you shoot up your Kali Linux and Pale Moon to shitpost on 4chan and watch cuckold porn. Freedom is one thing and having alternatives is great but Adobe tools are superior and even Adobe has gotten challenged now by Affinity, a more fairly priced image manipulation solution with a better license and equal capability.
But GIMP is a joke and running Windows software thru Wine is ridiculous on 9 occasions out of 10. It's literally only warranted if you can't get your hands on a Windows license/installation.

Dunno mine was simple as it can get.
No disassembly traps,no bullshit
Separate external slots for HDD and RAM replacement as well as extra drive bay external available.
I received it with louse keyboard ribbon cable because the screws weren't tight enough from the factory and the case was flexing.
Put that shit back where it belongs and tightened the screws.
No problems since then.
>>
>>64708264
Mine old was quite tricky, or I was retarded, dunno. I didn't knew that I have to remove keyboard first.
But anyway, cheap laptops are usually the best and cheap to repair, and thinkpads are just black ideapads with nipple.
Why do I need a roll cage, when fucking bottom case costs like 15-20$. And thinkpads keyboards are expensive, but here you can buy it for 10$ new, with any layout you want.
And ironically, touchpads are not that bad, as on thinkpads.

>Java is bad

A lot of Java code is bad. Way too many Indians writing buggy code and way too many "architects" refactor it to use an AbstractProxyManagerBeanFactory and other incomprehensible bullshit. If you can get past the fact that many shitty people are using Java and try to judge it objectively, it's not too bad of a language. Java will rarely throw surprises at you or have odd, unexpected behavior (string comparison with == being one exception). The tooling is amazing. Many great IDEs, static code analysis tools, etc. There are libraries for everything. If you can think of it, there is almost certainly a Java API for it.

As long as you don't worry about being shamed by smug users of other languages, you quickly realize that Java is pretty damn good at getting shit done. If that's what you care about and not being some smug asshole who writes blog posts on your "programming philosophy" and thinks the Unix guys are akin to Socrates and Aristotle, then Java isn't as bad as /g/ says. It lets you get shit done.

Didn't boot into Windows once and installed Antergos instantly. Macs are terrible overpriced trash. For $1500 you will get a tiny, "dumb" screen, shitty battery, shitty cheap hardware, terrible operating system built by retards for retards, etc. I can go on and on. My PC has a 17" 4k touchscreen, 16 GB of ram, 500 GB SSD, backlit keyboard, Bang and Olufsen audio, i7, and many more. Macs are terrible unless you're a cuck who wastes their hard earned cash on shit made by slaves. Apple people really crack me up. They simply don't know anything about computers.
