Apparently the august update doesn't have the blue hue.

I used the one titled "latest" with the August date, but could it be that I used the "black interface" one? I don't have time to reflash it now, but I could try using the "blue interface" one tomorrow. Would the blue interface one fix it?

It's shit.

In call volume is just too low for comfortable use. No way you can use it in the street, car or busy office.

Such a shame because it's very nicely built and very light.

The headphones. They are about 14 bucks. They are actually great for that price. Specs are decent for that price range. Battery last for 4-7 hours depending on volume and use. They can be used wired too. They have FM Radio and can play mp3 or flac files from a micro sd port, and also work as a micro SD card reader. They include a microphone that seems to work only when on bluetooth, and said microphone works decently. They have a button to answer calls and music control buttons , which all work on bluetooth. If you are using them via Bluetooth, you can connect Earphones in the jack port to share music, so they technically work as a splitter. I have not used the app, which supposedly includes an equalizer.

I got 4 hours sharing music, I usually get 5 and bit more on normal usage. I got 7 using them at lower volumes at night.
They are comfortable to wear and are light. Mine don't change color when fully charged from red to blue. I must wear them at maximum length of the adjustable part but I have a big head , my gf (that is about 5'8) wears them halfway through.

They were easy to pair and to use. Intuitive, but there is a manual.

Quality of sound is decent, balanced, good for the price and the utility it carries.

Depends on what you're ordering too. I got some keycaps and they came in probably just under a month. On the other hand an Arduino pro micro I ordered at the same time still hasn't gotten to me. This is consistent with the previous pro micro I got so I wonder if customs just takes extra long for anything that's actual electronics.

It should work for streaming videos just fine, on the game side... I think it should work on most , except N64 games in general (stability issues) and maybe some ps1 ones. Classic Boy is a decent emulator easy to use, retroarch is a bit better but harder to set up. Im using a similar specs TV box with retro arch and N64 are at least playable,

There is a JAKCOM speaker (os2 I think) that comes with a bike mount, flashlight, PowerBank capabilites and seems to be 5w, which is plenty for what you want. Search X3 speaker, those are little and have removable batteries that are easy to replace if you want more life. Any Anker mini speaker should also fit your bill.

What about AT&T? Hmmmm. Fuck.
>>
>>65649392
Which was the chink shop with good quality Rayban clones and sunglasses?
>>
>>65655353
AT&T is a bit better, if you get Redmi Note 4 Global version it'll work, but don't expect perfect coverage as it's missing some LTE bands.

If you're on a limited budget consider Motorola phones, they're decent for the price they sell and fully supported on US carriers. Honor 7X / Huawei Mate SE is another option, it's fully supported on AT&T and T-Mobile, but doesn't work on Verizon / Sprint.
>>
>>65655459
What carriers are people using chinkphones with?
>>
>>65655502
Most people using chinkphones aren't in the US
>>
>>65655525
Do they somehow work better in CA/EU?
>>
>>65655571
Yes. The problem with US is that they're using network bands pretty much no other countries use so chinks don't bother supporting them because they don't sell their phones there. Verizon and Sprint are especially bad because they're using CDMA when most of the rest of the world is using GSM.
>>
>>65655658
Gay. Major gay.
Maybe if I convince them to be on TMO, but AT&T has the best coverage in my state.

>>
>>65655720
T-Mobile is the same story as with AT&T, most chinkphones are not fully supported.

If you're after the Redmi Note 4, you could use cellmapper.net to check what bands AT&T is using in your area. The LTE bands on the Global version are B1/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B20, out of which B4 and B5 are used by AT&T.
>>
>>65655830
Is the 4 the same as the 4X?
>>
>>65655869
Redmi Note 4 Global version is the same phone as Redmi Note 4X hardware-wise, 4X is just the Chinese version with less bands. There's also Redmi Note 4 with Mediatek which is not recommended.

Power supply looks like it is reasonably safe, controller seems fine but I would personally prefer something even more dumb with just a potentiometer for temperature instead of the rotary encoder. Nice silicone cord for the handle, although the wiring seems a bit too thin for the power rating.

Alright alright, there's a faint hissing sound whenever they're on, like noise, it's not loud and not noticeable when anything is actually playing, but if you're a big audiophile or something you might not like it. The other thing I've noticed, is that they go into some sort of a "sleep mode" when no sound has been playing at all in the last 10 seconds or so, as most Bluetooth headphones do, it's somewhat noticeable because the previously mentioned noise stops. This isn't a problem in itself, since they start as soon as there is sound again, and nothing is cut off, but since they're wireless they take about 10 seconds to correctly synchronize again. It's not noticeable with music, but a centered voice (a podcast for example) will sound like it's shifting from the left to the center for the first few seconds. It's not really bothersome to me, but it's definitely noticeable.
>>
>>65657956
so send them back? jeez.
>>
>>65658073
I don't think they're defective, that's how they're supposed to be. I mean, it's a cheap pair of Bluetooth earbuds, and I doubt there's anything better at that price range. They sound good, look good and just work

Trash. Thanks for the review though.

>>
Any decent smart watches or fitbits?
>>
>>65658241
I didn't even mention the fact that you need to charge them every few hours. I just don't see the point, these things are inferior to traditional wired earbuds. But that's just my 2 cents.
>>
>>65658222
I'm just being very nitpicky, but if that's not up to your standards that's okay, the earbuds work well for me. They're very minor issues.

I just went out to the city center with them, they probably don't have active sound cancelling but they cut out most of the environmental noise really well. Volume is also decent, more than loud enough for me at 30% when walking in the streets. I can't test the frequency response, but after playing a bit with the EQ and slightly raising the mids and turning the highs just a little down they sound really good to me. They definitely have good bass.

>>65658270
I understand that, I like the true wirelessness, it feels liberating, but I know some won't want that at all

Provided you follow the procedure you can Google, they will work. The blade is sharper so you need to move it with care unless you want a nasty cut. I do use them, but have quality equipment that I inherited from me grandpa it may be easier than using chink ones. Try it for two weeks, the first one you will cut yourself getting used to be gentle, the second is the real test ride. Keep it if you like it, throw it of you don't. Other options, get an electrical one and use the Gillette to cut story hairs

Nope, Android TV is surprisingly close and there's only a few devices licensed for it.
The Xiaomeme box is the cheapest i know with actual Android TV, other than that you'd have to get either an outdated Nexus Player or overpay for a Nvidia Shield TV.
The OS itself doesn't matter that much since you may just install Kodi or a custom launcher to make the UI somewhat similar to android tv (which is pretty much what vendors do) the tricky part is the license, if your device isn't DRM licensed you won't have access to Prime video and you'd be stuck to 480p on Netflix, unless the Nvidia Shield TV or the Xiaomeme box where you can play video up to 4k. Afaik there's no workaround for this.
>>
>>65664028
Not him, but if he could afford Cuckazon Prime or Cuckflix, he probably wouldn't be in /csg/. Amazon isn't even available here and Netflix is heavily limited because of licensing issues.
>>
>>65664028
Just finished checking out android tv, since I wasn't very well informed about it and I guess that if you are interested in netflix and prime video and other services, the Xiaomeme box is the best option but if you just want to play your own files and dick around with it, then any android box will do, I need to replace my old one, still not sure which one to get.

No, 25W is actually good for small electronics projects. I should maybe specify that I'm talking about regular through-hole stuff.
For car wires and such I have 40W one and for heavier work such as installing the slip rings in alternators I have a 85W one.

I bought a redmeme 5 to replace my rn3 of which I autistically shattered the screen.
Has anyone received their phones yet?

I hear it's good, I'd probably get one if I was shopping for a good iron now.

Heck, yeah I figured, I contacted the SS to ask the seller how long a custom order would take and the SS responded saying it would be 72 hours from ordering, which I know isn’t true, but I’m now worried that the SS didn’t quite understand what I was saying and now I’m extra worried that the order is gonna be completely wrong

It's a meme, if it doesn't solve a problem you have with normal irons, not worth it.
Quality product, but expensive and you most likely don't need what you're paying for (portability). Tips are also pricey so if you're new to soldering or destroy tips a lot, don't get it.

>a good iron
nigga, that shit doesnt even have a finger guard nor a ground cable. enjoy getting finger burns by that toy while you fry electronics via capacitive coupling before being killed by it

Or Tagmo and write the tag with your goddam phone.

i think the option to extend the protection period is before the time runs out.
just dispute.
>>
>>65665952
If time runs out the order is auto confirmed. Only thing you can do now is open dispute

Go to orders page, pick view detail for the product, read Reminder #2

So my 64gb Mixza shark card finally bit the bucket. They were good for the price, but 2 years seems a little low, considering the 4gb class 10 card I brought back in 2008 for my HTC Touch is still running strong. Luckily it went into read only mode so I could still get data out.

Did any other memecards come out recently? I need a replacement for the one in my 3DS, and maybe upgrade the one in my phone to 128gb.

I grabbed an OEM-branded version of that board for $25 AUD, they're pretty decent. No detachable microUSB cable though.

Because fuck being a noob with no soldering skills.
It takes no effort to download an app and some files to your phone, but this project was my final goal to get myself to finally learn how to solder.
I got some test kits before that didn't even turn on but it felt damn good to see the near perfect joints and finally light up.

It's lost. Out for delivery should be same day or one day for outlandish circumstances. Never should it be 15 days.

Bought one of these Xiaomi DaFang cameras:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Original-Xiaomi-Dafang-Smart-IP-Cam-1080P-Wireless-WiFi-1-2-7-inch-CMOS-Sensor-120/32845284320.html?spm=a2g0s.8937420.0.0.35932e0elqCtZW

and then hacked the firmware using these steps:

https://hackernoon.com/hacking-a-25-iot-camera-to-do-more-than-its-worth-41a8d4dc805c

HO BOY anons this is a good buy. For $35 I can stream video of my neighbor raking leaves straight to VLC using rtsp with no Chinese botnet.

10/10 would buy again
