been chinkshitting for 2 years and still haven't bought counterfeit shoes from taobao
i think it's about time

what are your favorite taobao agents, /csg/?
>>
>>67161219
Hakko FX-888D knockoffs are a favourite, as are one type of Weller knockoff (probably the most popular). But I'd start by looking at different soldering iron tips and see what uses them, since you'll probably want to have an array of tips anyhow. Note that there are tips with the element and temperature sensor within, and tips where the element is seperate and isn't replaced. The former have better heat characteristics but are significantly more expensive to replace. Ali has a fairly popular model of build-your-own soldering station, not sure if it's any good but it can't be too bad. The TS-100 is a meme because it heats up the handle too much if you solder for an hour, and it doesn't come with a PSU which puts the $50 pricetag closer to $80.

Not me. I'm aiming for some less popular items that they're giving out higher quantities of. I added my picture, birthday, etc to my profile and I'm liking and commenting on random freebie reviews. My comments are all tl;dr compared to the short "congrats!!!" everyone else is leaving. I hope it makes a difference.

They weren't "congrats!" short, but not too long, like "wow, that looks great".
I was leaving 2 or 3 comments daily.

I don't really know their criteria so I have no idea how I got picked. Just kept submitting twice a day.

I got this in the mail today, xiaomi mosquito repellent+device. I saw on the filter that it had some katakana and I googled it, apparently the repellent filter is from a jap company called earth chemicals.

Purchase feels meh because the item wasn't really cheaper when I compare it to amazon.co.jp. The device is like 2 USD more, and the filter are priced about the same. It feels meh cause you expect to get little more value for what you paid with xiaomi , cheaper good quality product but I do not feel this one. Maybe the device is higher quality than earth's, but I kinda wish the coils where cheaper.

You could probably buy the coil in a jap market in the USA.

Hey /csg/, my BlackBerry priv is starting to die a slow painful death and I need some help before I take the plunge on a new phone. NSW a state in aus, so there should be no extra taxes, and shipping is fast and cheap. The q555 q666 and q999 are chink tripods that go under a variety of brand names, apparently they're well built with a decent head, do what they're supposed to and the legs can rotate 180° which makes them super versatile. Iirc they're knockoffs of manfrotto's designs, but they usually go for $10 more so I think this one might be a knockoff of the knockoff.
Either way I'll cop it when I get home and post a mini review when I get it. It's probably still decent even if it's a knockoff.

Would you seriously risk your entire business and normal life in china all to stalk some NEET that bought a $5 microsd card from you?

Just bought a BoboVR Z5 Youth Edition from Taobao. It's a chink version of Google's 'cardboard' VR glasses.

Anyone know any resources I can go to find cool stuff to do with it?

Lel repelling hungry mosquitoes with shit that doesn't also kill you.

Use nets [the Chinese got some pretty nice ones that fall closed with magnets locking them also for doors apart from the standard fare nets for windows] and make sure your house isn't some piece of crap with cracks everywhere.

This one or one like it [the predecessor models were teal or turquoise-ish and had no power off button on the device, but they also were fine].

It's great for $12-20 and probably all you need until you deal with small surface mount electronics [at which point you might need a heat gun and microscope and stuff, too].

RTL8812BU is newer than RTL8812AU and there's barely any information about the monitor mode support on Linux (whether it works or not). If he's using them for aircrack-ing, it's better to buy one with RTL8812AU chip for now.

32gb Putin card arrived
Checked it with Hw2test and confirmed that it is legit size. Screenshot to follow.
Bought it from JazzBrand store instead of Jesus Disk Store. Unfortunately it is not available anymore.

Printing on SD card is a little rough/blurred.
€4.50 ish

There's two versions of the phone:
Whyred = Snapdragon 636 and dual rear camera, known in China and globally as "Redmi Note 5" or "Redmi Note 5 AI", and as "Redmi Note 5 Pro" in India.
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9120&idPhone2=8893

Vince = Snapdragon 625, single rear camera. Known in China and globally as "Redmi 5 Plus", and as "Redmi Note 5" in India.

So my Mi Mix 2 fabric dark grey case arrived. Quick review:

Pros:
>feels nice to touch
>robust case
>looks really smart
>the material is really grippy

Cons:
>quite thick for a case
>the holes in the back are slightly misaligned, by about 0.05mm or so
>fabric reminds me of bus seats
>fabric will probably pick up grime easily

Overall I'd say it's worth it. Nicer than both the stock cases that came with the phone.

Whats the meme with shark cards? Seems like I would be better off just buying this

>>
>>67171177
Shark cards were worth it 2 years ago. You are 2 years too late. It's all about Putin cards now.
>>
>>67171177
Most of the world doesn't have as cheap prices for electronics as the US does. Here a 128gb Samsung MicroSD is around $45-50 whereas the equivalent size Shark is $30. $14 for a 64gb Shark whereas 64gb Samsung is ~$20. Plus you get a cool picture of a shark on the card, that alone makes it better than your usual Kingston, SanDisk or Samsung card.

>Seems like I would be better off just buying this

I'm a clumsy guy, and often go innawoods, so I'll need something sturdy and solid.

Also, where is the best place to buy in France, it'll be my first chink phone.

I like the Ovann x7. Its comfortable, has okay controls and has a decent price point.

Not the thing to look into if you need an audiophile audiogasm though. It's just mediocre / okay on either the phones or the mic.

The usual suspects for Xiaomi [Redmi Note 5, Mi A2, Mi Max 2...] + optionally whatever power bank you need. 3.65V 20Ah / 10Ah / 5Ah.

No, you don't really need these combined. It's not as comfortable as having a lighter phone that will work something like 18h+ on battery and then a battery in your backpack.

> where is the best place to buy in France
No, you generally just order these from China - direct import [well, with one Chinese proxy seller usually, Xiaomi doesn't directly sell internationally in retail].

That said, Banggood or Gearbest or some other /csg/ stores may have EU warehouses, probably not in France though.

What I liked about the K10000 Max is that it is water and shock proof. The Xiami are not, no ?

What are some chink names to look for as far as tablets are concerned? Also do you use aliexpress or order directly from the manufacturer? I'm new to this. I just need a little head start for research.

I didn't want to make a whole thread for it since I'm not a goddamned paid shill and I'll probably buy it no matter what you spergs say

But basically I want to ask if anyone can tell me how something like a chinesium (Tenda) mesh network thingy compares to a powerline adapter for stability

Right now I use a tiny Tenda Wifi dongle that manages to connect to my router that's 2 stories down, it's not awful, but the lag spikes and instability regularly make stuff like videogames unplayable and makes watching stuff over rabb.it (The web developers of which conspire with satan I have no doubt) extremely painful and choppy
>>
>>67171173
I bought one and was instantly disappointed on how bulky and low quality it was (it was for a note 5 pro tough)
>>
>>67173207
What would you recommend?
>>
>>67173476
At the moment I'm using the nilkin.
It's kind of rougher on the bottom making it a bit uncomfortable and isn't as grippy.
Besides that, it's a mile away in everything. It's slimmer, doesn't cover the buttons as the mofi that makes them harder to touch and it protects the phone (and also levels due to the camera bump).

This usb stick recognizes as external hdd.
Does anyone know, if there is some way to make it permanently appear as regular removable flash drive?
I have some minor issues booting linux livecds with this.
>>
>>67173910
I know some USB Mass Storage drives have special firmware that makes them appear as HDDs, but eVtran is using UASP controllers. Try asking them for firmware and flashing tools but I doubt it's possible.
If you only want non-persistent Linux LiveCDs consider loading ISOs through GRUB.
