Finished the really bad end route in Guignol. Couldn't be assed to spend a couple hours holding control through scenes in the hopes that I could get the True end, so I just DL'd a full save and checked out the endings scenes for the "normal" and "true" ends.

It was okay. Like that Anon said, the focus on the childhood friend was kinda disappointing, especially since it, like Nitronil, tries really hard to make him sympathetic. It was a big let-down how disconnected the mom-dad side of the story got towards the end. Dad just gets stabbed in front of mom...and she doesn't really care. It's jarring how tonally off it is to have a super cliche "mind broken by pleasure" plotline in the midst of the ridiculously melancholic melodrama that characterizes the rest of the end-game.

On the h-scene front, it definitely suffers from having a bunch of conditional scenes that are constrained by the largely linear plot.
