I wish I could believe in God but I cannot. Atheism seems far less appealing but more true.
>>18491146You'd be surprised how many people just click into believing when they read or listen to the Gospel of John, give it a quick try tonight OP! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBy1Bm5GtPM

>>18491278I have read the Bible front to back, my friend.>>18491323You're a lucky guy.
>>18491146A lot of people are in this situation, my soul yearns for a belief in something higher. I've tried larping as a Christian but i always end up rediscovering that it's man made
>>18491146If you genuinely wish for it to be true then live like it, God manifests himself to people who keep his commandments and your faith will gradually be strengthened through divine orchestration.
I tried to become religious a few times, but I was put off by the afterlife part. Like, most people on earth and most people I know go to hell, or something of the sort. It stressed my out tremendously. I know that if it's true, I should still be religious and just accept that, but I couldn't.
>>18491753Tried that, didn't work. There's no faith to be strengthened because I just don't believe God exists.Maybe it's because I have aspergers.
>>18491765Like, jesus says:-You need to give up all your possessions and live entirely for him, otherwise no kingdom of heaven for you (does that mean hell?). Camel and the needle.-If you spend your life not giving to the poor, you explicitly go to hell (lazarus and the rich man). Well, there's a billion poor people in the third world, you could give your all for them. Of course, everyone doing that also means the end of your society. It's no coincidence that no christian society in history, save perhaps a few communes at the very start, lived like that. It runs counter to all our instincts and impulses, and maybe that's the point. Is it in gods plan that most people go to hell?
>>18491323What's "appealing" about a 30-year-old rabbi who hangs out with naked young boys in parks at night, and what's "true" about that same rabbi resurrecting?
>>18491146Have sex
>>18491817Very astute sexual fantasy there, bro. You need your hard drive checked.
>>18491995I'm not married, having sex would go against the commands of the entity that I want to believe in.>inb4 get marriedI can't get a Christian marriage when I'm not a Christian. Afaik secular marriage doesn't count.
>>18492004Concession noted.
>>18491146>Both atheism and agnosticism are naturalist positions thus not creationist positions. There are only 2 available ontological primitives for how the universe/existence arrived (naturalism or creationism), TRUE DICHOTOMY NO POSSIBLE 3RD POSITION - disjunctive syllogismBoth atheism and agnosticism are positions of non-positions, the difference is agnostics say they dont have enough information to make the callBoth positions are still in contradiction with conservation of mass, 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics. The law of entropy proves matter and energy had a starting point, and isn't infiniteif atheism were true P then it would be supported by natural laws and natural science Q. not Supported Q atheism not true P. If P then Q not Q therefore not P. -modus tollensThe existence of information is not matter nor energy. All information is traced back to an intelligent source>God is empirically logically and scientifically proven>atheism scientifically debunked
