I tried to become religious a few times, but I was put off by the afterlife part. Like, most people on earth and most people I know go to hell, or something of the sort. It stressed my out tremendously. I know that if it's true, I should still be religious and just accept that, but I couldn't.

It's no coincidence that no christian society in history, save perhaps a few communes at the very start, lived like that. It runs counter to all our instincts and impulses, and maybe that's the point. Is it in gods plan that most people go to hell?
