Because I was born a Christian in a Christian household they taught me their religion every day so that every input I took was confirmation that god existed while I got no input that he might not have a reason to exust (if everyone around me, like the 500 people in the church believe in it, it has to be real, right?) I also found it useful when I'm jealous of someone or a girl resists my advances to appeal to the morality in the bible to get what I want and appear virtuous.I then cherrypicked every argument that goes my way to retroactively confirm my bias towards god.
