I'd say she probably did get her fair share of "good" collages back in the day, but it can be hard to track many of them down today. Plenty are probably lost for good on the older now-dead websites, many are buried somewhere in decade-old threads on Giantess City, popular new sites like Giantess Booru started up years after her relevance had faded such that they didn't hoover everything up (and before the rule changes that decreased the quality barriers), and so on. Even on Giantess Booru she has a surprising number of "good" collages when compared to more contemporary celebrities.

There are a few other factors at play too. For example, Photoshop was around and available (especially through piracy) when she was relevant, but it wasn't quite as widespread as it was now; there weren't the myriad of free options we have today (eg. GIMP has gotten a LOT better); YouTube tutorials for these software have massively improved the initial learning curve; and so on.

Overall though, I'd say we're in a bit of an odd place right now. Our "best" current collagers are probably among the best the community has seen throughout its lifespan (not counting the literal gods like E10), but there is only a handful of them compared to the army of "copy paste shitty cutout onto city in 5 seconds" collagers that have sprung up as the skill ceiling dropped. The result is that the community-averaged quality of giantess collages has dropped since the mid/late-00s when Paris was most relevant.

I feel like we should really be leveraging Chuckwagon's popularity, because, without wanting to sound like I'm dissing him (I'm not!), many of the collages he produces are the kind I'd expect from someone after only a few beginner-level lessons in Photoshop*. He does a pretty good job of cutting the woman and foreground buildings out, but that's about the extent of most of his collages - he adds very few (usually none) destruction effects or shadow work, he frequently hides the women totally behind buildings so he doesn't have to try to blend their feet onto the ground with shadowing/destruction/whatever, he seems to only do minor color correction, he doesn't seem to put too much effort into matching lighting direction in his source images, etc, etc, etc. He typically does fairly basic work, but he does what he does well enough, with attractive enough women, and in big enough "dumps" that it feels like we're getting a treat of content each time. He's found a really good quality vs quantity niche.

And because he is so popular over on Giantess City (and beyond), I really wish there was some good way to tactfully advertise the above in an attempt to get more people to jump into creating collages of their own. You could probably make a solid "how to create a Chuckwagon-style collage" tutorial for Photoshop or GIMP and maybe kickstart a few new collage artists?

*Just a little caveat, because his recent few series of dumps have shown progression in what elements he adds into his collages - more destruction, shadow work, etc. I'm mostly talking about the more simplistic collages he has been making in the past. I'm not trying to put him down or anything - I really do like the work he produces!

Agreed, and I'm all about the high resolution too, if the creator is good at details. It's great when something is 3000x3000 or higher, and I'm constantly finding minor details. Pic related.
>army of "copy paste shitty cutout onto city in 5 seconds"
...yeahhhhhhh that too. Not to sound negative but 80-90% of what gets posted on the city is kind of... bleh

>>3255196
Really what I like the most about Chuck is his choice of models. I'm moderately specific in what I like, and it's kind of a downer when I see a really REALLY well done picture but have zero interest in the model used.

I really need to trim my collection, but I've got some stuff that can't be found anymore from the late 00's that I still really like. Even though it's clearly outclassed by stuff made today.
>>
>>3255221
>Not to sound negative but 80-90% of what gets posted on the city is kind of... bleh
Yep. That said, very few of the community's artists - let alone the community's best artists - post their work to Giantess City any more. There are maybe 3 or 4 of the city's artists whose threads are worth poking into. Chuckwagon's threads are one of those. It's just not the site it used to be.

I feel like this is a bit of an issue, because Giantess City is still one of the most easily visible and "known" websites in the community. It sets a pretty poor example, all things considered.

>Really what I like the most about Chuck is his choice of models. I'm moderately specific in what I like, and it's kind of a downer when I see a really REALLY well done picture but have zero interest in the model used.
This is why I think it'd be helpful for someone to make a Chuckwagon-based tutorial, or at least advertise that anyone can make collages of similar quality without needing to learn super advanced skills. More content is always good, but it might also inspire those with under-represented preferences to start creating content they want to see.

This is why I think it's important to encourage new collagers. It's really easy to say "I wish [established collager] would step outside of their niche/add some more variety/make something using a model I prefer/etc", but ideally you want them to be focusing on the sort of content they find most fun to make. "Forcing" them to work on something they're not very interested in will likely result in fewer, less inspired collages.

More collagers (motivated by community interaction) results in more collages overall, but it also results in more variety, more niches being filled, etc.
>>
>>3255987
Totally agree. That's what got me into collaging. After a while wondering why no one would make certain kinds of content I decided to try my own hand at it.
It's true too that, like any creative thing, collages can become a chore if you're not passionate about the project.

Also getting aboard the BDH train with this minigiantess picture. I've got an idea for some similar pictures, gonna try to work on them tomorrow.

What sizes do people prefer, and what's the consensus on miniGTS/shrunken man collages? I remember a while back people gravitating around 50-200ft, but we all have different tastes.

300 feet is my maximum, but I typically prefer the 100-150 foot range, which isn't all that common in collages.

Different strokes for what you stroke too, I suppose - I’d just stay away from the BBW stuff at all costs if I were you. You’re not gonna dig what you see over there.
Personally I like a variety of shapes and sizes, both IRL and in collages.
Gets a little dull when nearly all the good size content stars the same 5 or 6 models and/or body types.
Take this pic from RedCoffee1 for example - she’s definitely chubbier than I usually go for but she’s still very attractive and makes for a really cute collage subject IMO.

For whatever reason that range is more difficult to make than bigger sizes. It might be due to how perspectives in most backgrounds line up with the model source pics, which tend to be more aerial photography than something on a street level. It's also easier for stuff like destruction effects when you can just level a tiny building/city instead of more detailed damage to larger surroundings.

>>3257963
No, that was the only pic of her on the Yogile page. I totally agree though, I prefer normal people or less known models. Celebs break the immersion for me sometimes, anonymity leaves more to the imagination.

>That still might be the single best executed collage I’ve ever seen IMO. Even years later.
This post might sound kinda shitty, but I don't actually mean for it to sound so bad. I'm genuinely interested in situations like this, because that collage, on a technical level, isn't too fantastic. The color correction is off (the woman is much too yellow in comparison to the background), the quality of the source material don't match (the woman is a bit more blurred than the background, and she has a pretty strong chromatic aberration which is absent on the city), the lighting is pretty reasonable match (ignoring the plane) but the girl's shadowing painted over the top of the city is very poor (it's mostly just a super diffuse darkening of the area, not a strong and well defined shadow that the buildings are casting), etc, etc. I'm not even sure the perspective is a very good match.

BUT, it has got such a strong, fun composition. I think THIS is the strength of the collage, and why it has stood the test of time, even with some of the technical failings.

This ties somewhat back into the discussion about Chuckwagon. That E10 collage is a great example of how fairly basic technique can still be utilized to create something worthwhile. As long as you have some killer source material and composition in mind, plus some bare-basic editing skills (cropping, babbys first color correction, "here's how to use a soft reduced opacity brush to paint some basic shadows in", etc), you can create something nice. The advanced techniques will come with time and practice, but you don't need them to start being productive.

My answers

>1) The best scale
All the scales are fun in their own way, but I generally prefer the two larger scales.

>2) The best scenario
Despite the above (the few shots of her leaning on/over buildings in the two largest scales are nice), the clips of her at the smaller scales where she's still interacting with people/every day objects are very fun. Seems like they were a little more creative in these parts, used more props, some forced perspective, etc. Still, that first shot of her leaning over the building at her largest size ...

>3) The best outfit
I prefer the more casual/everyday type outfits. The outfit in the third clip is probably my least favourite, it just looks a little too flouncy and costumey. The red outfit in the final clip is pretty nice, but maybe just a little on the "too much" side for me? Would have been fun if we had a better/bigger shot of her in her PJs at the very start.
>>
>>3258735

It's weird. Typically, like, 150 ft is the max I'm good with, but the 300m scale, scenario, and outfit somehow all do it the most for me.

While I do appreciate shrink from time to time, and I do appreciate that shrink is what some folks primarily get off to, I just don't understand why shrink collages are so rarely appealing. Like even with giantess collages it's not easy to find something of quality, but it's a fuckin goat screw with shrink collages.

The problem with SM collages is there's only so much you can do. All you can do is place the tiny guy somewhere, make a shadow and some blur and some color correction. It never looks right unless the guy is taken from the same source as the giantess, and most SM collages just use stock photo people or like >>3258933
said. Shrinking scenarios are my favorite though, so they're fun collages to make every now and then if I'm wanting something more in the instant gratification department.
>>
>>3259172

I think this is partly related to the sort of criticism that a lot of giantess collages get as well: it's pretty common to find people who dislike when a collage is just "giant woman standing in the middle of a city with no rhyme or reason." Scenarios where the woman doesn't really look like she belongs ... maybe she's staring directly into the camera in a way that doesn't make sense, maybe she's not interacting with anything in any meaningful way, or she's not posing in a way that implies anything size related, etc. In other words, something "boring". Referring back to >>3258627, >>3258681 and >>3258698, imagine if that E10 collage didn't feature that woman in such an evocative pose ... maybe she was just standing in generic beauty model pose, staring into the camera. Would that "feel" like such a good collage, even if the technical aspects were spot on? Maybe not, depending on what you're into.

A big issue with a lot of SM collages, even with the technicals aside, is that few go beyond the "copy/paste pre-cropped shrunken man stock onto generic picture of woman's foot" approach. It's the same sort of "boring" collage problem mentioned above, where it doesn't really seem like the elements are interacting with each other in a believable - let alone fun - way. This works for unaware scenarios at least, where you wouldn't expect the woman to be directly "interacting" with the tiny person ... but even then, it's rare for the artist to do all they could with the composition.

The best collages are "made" during the search for good source images, long before the artist even opens Photoshop.
>>
>>3259251
I wonder how much the "porn passion" aspect of all this affects the quality of collager's work? Your motivation to complete any given collage - especially if focused on a specific celebrity - might only last as long as a single fap session. Perhaps this could encourage many collagers to do a more basic job, neglect details, etc?

Probably not. But it's also important to remember that it's only considered "porn" for a relatively tiny fraction of the population. Just because some people fetishize depictions of giant/tiny people, it doesn't mean that all depictions of giant/tiny people should be classified as porn. It's in our best interests to keep this in mind too, lest we encourage the less socially capable members of our community to go full-fetish around these sorts of advertisements.

"Unattractive"? Or just like regular looking? Because I think there are probably different reasons why someone would prefer one or the other.

For example, people seem to enjoy "regular" looking giantesses as it seems more "realistic" or everyday, like some random girl off the street has suddenly grown as opposed to some Hollywood starlet. For "unattractive" ladies, I guess it might be fun thinking about how a woman who might otherwise have greater trouble finding a boyfriend can just collect whoever they want without any way to fight back?
>>
>>3261515
Plain-jane/realistic/normal girls are awesome don’t get me wrong. I very much dig them more than celebs/models.
What I was more discussing was the idea of a chick I wouldn’t be attracted to at normal size becoming a giant. Sometimes it’s a pretty alluring idea - whether they have a shitty personality, are unnatractive/overweight/etc.
Maybe it’s a role reversal thing? Or maybe it just makes sense that in a giantess scenario most of the actual giants would be of average attractiveness or lower.

All I know is this is probably turbo autistic even for this fetish.

>>

>The real autism is not acknowledging that attractiveness is subjective.
The REAL "real autism" is assuming that whenever anyone talks about anything they enjoy, they MUST be trying to speak from some objective viewpoint. You must be fun at parties:

Guy: "I really enjoy pizza with lots of cheese!"
You: "It's autistic to not acknowledge that pizza preference is subjective!"
