>My God, the things the ancients accomplished blows you away sometime

Ancients, the real 'Ancients' had greater things than you would believe!

I mean Before Rome, Babylon, etc. they had electricity, not just batteries, They had A/C electric lights, powered machines.

It's mostly buried under the flood, except the Pyramids (the power stations, drawing electricity from the ionosphere like lighting)

What do you think Ben Franklin was really trying to do?

There's something about early Australian architecture that I miss. It's very simple and not at all on the level of the European stuff getting posted in this thread, but I still find it endearing somehow.

>>4463030

>>
the guy from Knives Out ?!?? >>4488546

i know, right?
>>
>>4486838
It's representative of the Australian landscape, austere but beautiful. Take largely the same style architecture that sits in Britain but role it out over a wide, near endless, arid plain on the other side of the world. They had to make do with what resources they had and adapt to a totally different climate. The result is both austere and beautiful.

I am very sorry, I understand this isn't /r/, but would you people have any material on Mentmore Towers? I'm dying for a complete, readable floor plan (at least first and second floors) and some nice graphics to look at, but I found it difficult to find anything, only a handful of low resolution pictures you can barely make out
>>
Returned to this thread once more to see the updates.
Pleased with what I see.
I thank the posters.
I would post myself but what I have I obtained from you.

Do a reverse image search and you'll find all kinds of websites, auction/sale sites, blogs, library catalogs, etc.

Search for:

Victoria buildings blueprint, vintage buildings, vintage architecture.

Reading this book, have good info about engineering and architecture:

Yes but WW1 happened and they realized that having the tallest antenna around was practical.
