When the group switched over to Pledis all the other members signed contract renewals but she refused to. She had photos/videos of her from back in 2019. So she probably has a lot of faith in her and is pushing her as the face of the group/leader. While I agree that she isn't the prettiest member of the group, she certainly is still very pretty. It also helps that she's the oldest fully Korean member, too. And after watching her fancams from the live performances they did I really have come to like her a hell of a lot. She has a certain alluring charm that I think will hook a lot of people into the group.
