Where's a good place to see more of Frank or Boris' art? I know Boris Vallejo has a decent subreddit
>>4603406I have collected these from various places. Just searching for an artist in a web browser will often come up with plenty of results, allowing you to click your way through or maybe resulting in you finding a site with a collection. Now the actual challenge is finding high quality versions of the works, and for that I recommend Yandex and its reverse image search. To highlight it:If we drag >>4603430 into ithttps://yandex.com/images/search?rpt=imageview&url=https%3A%2F%2Favatars.mds.yandex.net%2Fget-images-cbir%2F198433%2FJX1slkDheHOFkmA0DnWZ-Q5665%2Forig&cbir_id=198433%2FJX1slkDheHOFkmA0DnWZ-Q5665we get under ‘Other image sizes’ a version of that painting (see attached image) in good quality and with higher dimensions. If we drag >>4603429 into ithttps://yandex.com/images/search?rpt=imageview&url=https%3A%2F%2Favatars.mds.yandex.net%2Fget-images-cbir%2F7755375%2FdzsDKep1lLCeJoAc6HIzVg6891%2Forig&cbir_id=7755375%2FdzsDKep1lLCeJoAc6HIzVg6891we get ‘No matching images found’ however, under ‘Image appears to contain’ it has managed to successfully identify what the piece is called (Cat Girl). Also note the text under links beneath ‘Sites containing information about the image’.If we drag >>4603428 into ithttps://yandex.com/images/search?rpt=imageview&url=https%3A%2F%2Favatars.mds.yandex.net%2Fget-images-cbir%2F4283305%2Fh9sRFcjcI2sGk1claBQGiA7329%2Forig&cbir_id=4283305%2Fh9sRFcjcI2sGk1claBQGiA7329well in that case we do not get anything helpful for us. Yet keep in mind that in some cases, compared to what you already have, then the image results may be smaller in dimensions yet superior in resolution and/or scan. Also note, although we know the artist is Frank Frazetta if one did not they would by looking under ‘Sites containing information about the image’.
>>4603406>>4603828Thank you, anon
>>4603828>>4603406You will find that there are plenty of sites out there that have some if not many works of an artist however, they are often of mixed quality in terms of resolution & size and often do not have the name of the work. Now some artists, which you can find either by actively searching or just stumbling upon, themselves have sites where they post their own work. Although often such images from the sites of such artists will be small in size and/or have copyright watermarks.[I had a bunch of stuff here but 4chan thinks I am spamming and it keeps thinking it is spam whatever way I format it.]Something else you may be interested in is https://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/ea.cgi?1825 Whilst that does not provide high quality images it does list what publications an artist has done cover art for.
>>4603831Yeah I don't know if it was you that posted that same isfdb link above but I checked that out last night. Looks really cool

>>4601047Would anyone happen to have a higher resolution scan of this one?
Last one, shame it won't let me post Frank's self portrait due to the resolution.
>>4610653Never seen this one, thanks for sharing anon. He really was a unique talent.

>>4611098Your browser won't let you upload it? Why's that?
>>4611105Who knows, it only seems to get salty over images I stitched together.
>>4611152That's odd. Usually when I can't upload an image, it's something to do with 4chan like filesize, resolution, or thinking there's an embedded file.

Thanks for the uploads.
>>4608109I’ve seen this one like a million times yet only just realized that the girls are leading him by the reigns. I always thought they were tied to the horse like slaves or something
>>4616782I think the big indicator is the expressions of the characters. The ladies, sirens perhaps, are way more enthusiastic about where they're going than he is.
>>4617195Also look at the guy with the axe who is half-hidden in shadow.
>>4617277It's headcanon, but I've always imagined the axe wielder to be a non-human because only the head is silhouetted, his eyes glow red, and there's that bestial looking statue in the background. Also, I'm not sure what to make of the knights expression as he looks pretty apathetic, dead inside almost. Perhaps the sirens are sapping his willpower.
>>4617306You could interpret the whole thing as him being some paragon knight-errant. He has the willpower/virtue to resist their (magical or not) seduction, with him going with them so he can enter the castle and vanquish whatever evil resides within.
>>4608631>We will never see the original version with the hard cock
>>4608631>>4617551Honestly, the removal of the dick doesn't really bother me. imo, the absence of the erection makes Tarzan look cooler as he's apparently unfazed by the women's nudity. What I think would've been a greater tragedy is if Frank was made to censor Queen La. As far as I can tell, this is the only time Lord Frazetta depicted a visible pussy in his released works.
>>4617319Unless he's got magic, backup, or plot armor, that sounds like a one way trip. Even if the monsters are stupid enough to take him to the throneroom, or wherever their master resides, he may not be able to fight his way out. Though I suppose one could evoke the trope where killing the evil wizard causes his followers to die and the castle to come crumbling down.
>>4608109Such a thing may be considered heretical to post, but an anon on aco made a shave edit of this last year
