Sup. I'm gonna use this thread to try and improve my art, and if anyone feels like contributing then critique and guidance would be much improved. Please bear in mind that I have the brain capacity of a bowl of spaghetti so detailed instructions might go over my head.>what do you use to doodle?Paint, Paint 3D, tegaki (ugh) and traditional pens and pencils. Yeah I know, not a great selection.>what do you like to draw?Monsters, Lennys (go figure), critters, emotions, etc>what do you struggle with and want to improve?Hands (but who doesn't?), women, hats, shading, colours, etc>who are your influences/inspirations?Dav Pilkey, splapp-me-do, my buddy Blocky, Jonathan Wojcik, Doc Glasgow, and everyone on /i/ of course <3Prompts are encouraged - I probably won't draw your OC so I don't end up hurting your feelings by doing a bad job but I think most other things are on the table. Make sure to tell me whether I should do it in a certain program (see above)!
draw a fruit bat pls
>>730207what do you know, I'm in the same boat as you are as well, right down to using Paint, 3D and tegaki. Maybe we can help each other?
>>730212Have two instead>>730213Heck yeah! I'm down for that if you are
>>730213Have some tea friendo
>>730212instructions unclear
>>730207If you want to improve hands, well, draw your hands. I think practicing on pencil will be easier first.
here's a fun starting activity you can try
>>730310Bereft? That's not an emotion is it?
Drew this for my manager at work. Perspective on the table is a little hokey but whatever
>>730585cute
>>730229Yo, inconsequential right now but useful in the long run: Bats' wings consist of three fingers, not three bones coming down from its arms, like this:
>>730347>deprived of or lacking (something).>(of a person) sad and lonely, especially through someone's death or departureehh, it's debatable

Work's kicking my ass and I just finished a month-long ORG so I'll get to the hand thing on the weekend probablyIn the meantime take this
>>734365Well what do you know, using references helps after all
draw Carl
>>730246Alrighty, sorry for the delay. The left hand wasn't an issue but the right one I made some mistakes with as you may be able to seeHere we have Handré the Giant vs the Evil Hamburger Helper (five digits, fingernails, permafrown, hinders hamburgers instead of helping them). Handré is one of my original characters, who was made animate after Jack slew the Giant and his Bracelet of New Life activated. Sadly for the Giant, he died from a fatal cut to the wrist, and the wrong part got reborn. He's got a couple of large rings of strength that he keeps on his thumb (and on his ring finger too I guess cos I couldn't fit them both on this time) and some wickedly sharp nails to tear through his foes!
Very excited to show y'all my Valentine's Day drawing I did>>730310Also uhhhh should I do this with one character for all of them or can I just do an emotional face per thing>>734453Just on his own? No extras?
>>736850>Also uhhhh should I do this with one character for all of them or can I just do an emotional face per thingeither the same person doing all expressions or a different expression/character for each
<3
I haven't put this much expression into a face in a while. I've been wanting to draw a strangulation piece for a while but I could never get the neck to look normal. What do you think?

I've been participating in a Pokémon Drag Race ORG as a Metapod with legs if you can believe it. Here's (half of) this week's look
I feel like doing a different character for each is gonna be counterproductive but also I just want to drawOekaki Post (Time: 10m, Source: >>730310)

I'm gonna work on this for a while. Hopefully I can git gud at drawing tits and ass
>>745803What is the prompt generator? I kind of like it.
>>745811There was none actually! I hosted a 'body part' gimmick Hunger Game on /trash/ - the difference from a normal game was that the participants had to crop out parts of their usual characters and use them as their entry, and I'd draw the top six as one big monstrosity lolI don't think this gimmick could work on /i/ but I could be willing to be proved wrong. Here's another one I did from a while ago
I guess if you REALLY wanted to make your own mishmash you could go to https://characters.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Random six times and pick random parts from each one you land on
One thing I have been having trouble with is getting the ability to draw something just for fun's sake. In my diary and in this thread too I tend to only draw stuff that I'll be proud of, which is why I don't update either frequentlyAnyone got any advice for breaking through this?Oekaki Post (Time: 8m, Replay: View)
these all suck, go learn loomis and actually study instead of being drawing shit.
>>746660>IMPROVING LE BADthis is why lenny beg will never make it, you either learn or become a schizo.
>>746661you think loomis is learning? No one wants to draw 100 boxes get real
>>746662it's called skill and practice, something (you) don't get, and neither does lenny fag.
>>746664don't need to pyw to randos like you.

>>747712Featuring evil worm
I drew this comic during one (two really, the end of one and the start of another) of my dramatherapy sessions. I had to finish one panel before I knew how the next one would turn out.

>>755029What is it you want to draw? Is there a particular artist or style you are trying to achieve? You seem to like Matt Groening, he has actually published a book where he shows his construction method. It seems very similar to Loomis and other methods of construction. >>746670 Did you really read Fun with a Pencil?

I don't wanna do the same things over and over again but when I try something new and it doesn't look good it puts me off a bit>Is there a particular artist or style you are trying to achieve? Not really. In fact I tend to stay away from 'how to draw' material in most cases, lest I accidentally absorb too much of one person's style and lose my spark of originality>You seem to like Matt Groening, he has actually published a book where he shows his construction method. It seems very similar to Loomis and other methods of construction.I still don't know what Loomis is, but I actually do own the Simpsons Handbook and it helped me out when I drew my own Simpsons comics as a child>Did you really read Fun with a Pencil? No
