Man, I forget how anticlimactic those things get, as yo approach the end you get one or two characters killing several others and then a dozen just end up with self-inflicted death.

Personally I like seeing at least one Arena event per game; it's a nice way to end the thing in a dramatic way, but RNG is very rarely kind in that way. I don't blame most people for not sticking around til the end after their character dies
