>>5131416You're trying to understand the use of overlapping forms which is good but some of them do not make sense such as where the pectoral muscle would be connected to the humerus is either illustrated improperly or you forgot to define it and just left what's left over from the ribcage. Overlapping forms work when you have a clear distinction between what's in front and behind something but when you have two forms in front of you the illusion fails and the drawing becomes flat.

Is there a way to show form without T lines, or how do I tone it down while still having form? I don't think Vilpu is wrong I feel like the drawing has form now and it helped but I don't know what the right amount of T lines should be.Also yeah I'll definitely make the muscles smaller in the future, I made them bigger and more exaggerated to show form, it doesn't work.
>>5131570T lines are a good way to show forms, but for young characters, you should focus them where major twisting and bending movements happen like at the waist, or where limbs join the torso, also the more foreshortened the figure, the more T lines could be used. I would also recommend you to use short hatching contour lines to emphasize forms, look at how Jap artists do and study them.Those two things should be placed strategically on the body, like Vilppu said, treat them as tools, you shouldn't add lines for the sake of adding lines.
