So I want to make my art better, like a lot better. I want to get good at illustration and right now want to focus primarily on the human form. I know I can do boxes, I know I can do still life, I just can't draw the human form. Just read through it, and draw as I read? It starts with details of the face like the eyes, nose, etc. Shouldn't I start by learning the skeleton and landmarks and stuff?

Do you guys know of any books on animation that manage to be as fascinating as Illusion of Life? I had been reluctant to read any of the books segments besides the ones focusing on animated motion. But after finally bothering to work through the remainder of this masterpiece, I've come to love this book more than 95% of the stuff that's residing on my shelf. Is there anything comparable to it in scope, quality of prose, and sheer amount of production insights? In my collection, the only books I'd consider similarly extensive are Dimensions of Dialogue (Jan Svankmajer), Bill Plympton's books if combined (though he's a bit of an annoying faggot) and Sneg na Trave/Yuri Norsteyn no Shigoto (books on and by Norsteyn). However, neither of which are as competently written, nor are they able to entertain and educate similarly well.

Stonehouse bro, when you finish scanning, could you make a full .cbz file beside the complete pdf. Some of us much prefer the image format. I can extract images from the pdf, but convert back and forth may lower the quality...
