Working on drawing circles, while following Brent Evistons class. I think i've got the drawing lightly thing figured out but my circles kinda come out bad. Its like every time I rotate my shoulder the circle comes out a different way than i intended it. Its like I have no control and I dont feel like im anywhere close to gaining it.

I really need advice guys. Each time I get a line wrong, I want to punch myself - and I often do. I just don't understand why I can never get it right. >>5322276I've felt this way many times before, you'll get over it in time. You probably haven't gotten worse, this is a psychological problem.
>>5322280Honestly, everyone says not to compare yourself to others, but no one mentions how painful it can be to compare yourself to your past self. Stop improving for just one second, and you risk falling into a pit of shame you can never escape from. How can you forgive yourself for all the time you wasted not drawing? How do you cope with the fact that the years are just passing you by, and you have progressively less and less to show for it? I need to be good, at least as good as I was, otherwise I'm nothing. I have nothing. I've lived an empty life, and I can't allow myself to be bad at the one thing that used to bring me joy, even if it only brings pain right now.

>>5323605The expression makes my pee pee stiff, don't change it.
>>5323605Not bad. Hard to say what needs improving just from a quick glace. Maybe the nose needs a bit more work?
>>5323605check that the brow line, eyeline, base of nose and mouth follow a set of parallel lines in perspective
>>5323588i hate crabs but cmon man
>>5323631Adjusted itI’ll keep it like this then
>>5323648left eye is melting down into her check and the right eyes is way smaller
>>5323648L2stack
>>5323648Looks better but the chin looks somewhat flat, idk how to explain it, it lacks depth going down the neck line
>>5323662>mikey memega>telling others to learnyeah this is core beg
>>5323668I don’t know who drew it and I don’t care I just googled “anime girl tilting head back” and it spat out a good reference image for op to understand what anime heads look like in perspective
>>5323670>I don’t care I just googledthis is gigabeg. don't give advice
Here. How stiff does the pose look and how make it less stiff?I don t know how to properly draw her crotch area. How well feet/hands are made?
>>5323664Yeah the underside too probably because no overlapping but it’s fine for now, I’ll just try to do more practice with new drawings after I color this tomorrow >>5323662Helped a bit with the eyebrows, I should’ve known that
>>5323670>doesn't even know/care what is telling others to learn
>>5323672>don’t Google images to understand anything you don’t know just sit there and keep drawing the wrong thing repeatedlyok good luck with your technique

Anyone has tips on balancing the studying and practise ratio?Let's say I make 10 pages of heads from fun with a pencil, how many heads should I try to do on my own?.I drew Michael Hampton gesture drawings of the first chapter, how many should I do from Line of action?I'm doing Vilppu dynamic drawing videos but not sure if it's effective unless I try sme different from myself.I like drawabox because they specifically tell you no to grind and just do the stuff they tell you to do, but when I'm alone and I can't do something right I don't know to discern between lack of practise or lack of knowledge, most of the time I'm reading books and doing tutorials, but when I'm alone I freeze and I just make a bunch of disasters, any recommendations?
>>5323689These are things you draw your whole life unless you quit
First time ever posting on here tell me what you guys think also I dont really like digital very much, just paper mainly. I like painting as well but in not sure if this would be the right place for those but let me know if youre interested
How the fuck do I draw animal snouts? Specifically canine and at an angle. Every resource I see when I search is furry shit which I don't want.
>>5323679do you have your work posted somewhere?
>>5323605Here's how I would kind of fix it fast, but I'm just a beg.
>>5323692
>>5323705Good attempt>>5323704Yeah in /beg/
>>5323692>I dont really like digital very muchHow come? Digital art has quite a few conveniences that paper based art doesn't have.>>5323701Do you fear becoming a furry or is it just pure hatred? I don't think it's the worst idea to learn from them when it comes to drawing animal parts.
>>5323712nowhere outside of /beg/?
>>5323716I dunno I can't quite get the hang of it plus I've been doing physical my whole life
>>5323717If you really know then @KatsuneiSenpai on twitter is my SFW art blog
>>5323716Neither, their guides are just shit.
>>5323719Fair enough.>>5323726That's a shame. I thought they might have something of use, what with all the money these guys get for commissions and whatnot.
>>5323691I mean, more specific, yeah daily practise, but how uch should I follow along books and tutorials and how much should I do stuff alone?I mean, I did the whole Fun with a pencil and then tried to do some stuff alone and found out I can't think on shit by myself.Either I have aphantasia or I'm a very insecure person with little imagination.
>>5323746>I have Aphantasia Kek don't start this blaming brain disease shit. Reality is that your visual library is very small because you are a beginner and this goes for almost every other beginner on earth. We draw from reference almost daily because we need to learn what these things look like before trying to draw them from imagination If you really want some number then do 50/50 reference to imagination. Personally I do like 70% reference 30% imagination
>>5323588Not enough effort
Hello, i want to get good at perspective, and foreshortening for complex shapes like people. How do i do that?I know how basic perspective but struggle with humans
>>5323689Just the fact that you think of learning in terms of volume especially this early on says a lot about your poor learning practices.
>>5323758Draw the figure then use boxes to correct the perspective
>>5323588Anon, you have two working eyes and you drew this.
>>5323762fuck this made me audibly laugh
I'd like to make a simple space game.I'm trying to learn how to paint spaceships (really shitty, basic, spaceships). This is something I can now create in like half an hour, no reference (no shit). Is it any good?I believe it somehow resembles a spaceship. And I sort of like how it looks. But I'm so shitty at judging my own creations. One day it looks good, then I look at it again the next day and it looks like utter shit. Welp...
>>5323773And of course I saved is a a jpg, hah.
>>5323785>>5323785>>5323785
>>5323773Looks like a helmet with cat ears. What are a ship's main elements? If you don't want wings then you have to play up other aspects to imply it's a flying vehicle, like a cockpit and making the thrusters more obvious.
>>5323723do you do commissions?
>>5323795Ya
>>5323802whats your rates?
>>5323773Also, I tend to make everything too fucking flat when it's from a top-down view.Is there any quick cure for that?It really drives me up the fucking wall.
>>5323806You can just message my nsfw twitter if you really wanna know, kinda random to ask here
>>5323759What's that supposed to mean? counting my pages to see how much I practise is a bad habit? If so, please name some "good learning practises" please, if they exist and I could make my learning more efficient, then I'll be more than happy to do them.
>>5323878Have an actual goal with your learning and iterate over your mistakes, you aren't learning anything if you are just grinding the same wrong things over and over without thinking for the sake of hitting a quota.
>>5323938I want to draw juicy anime girls porn
>>5323053what makes you say that? >>5323139I appreciate the compliment anon! Thank you so much I've been insecure for my work for years and just wanted to hear some input from others as opposed to the usual "needs work" or "could be better" kind of line
>>5323139Jesus.
i'm i doing good? when will i be able to draw without a reference? i don't understand how an artist would draw the image i mark with a star without a reference
