Is this supposed to be scary?
>>
>>5432824
You are a philistine. Go back to your weeb garbage.
>>
>>5432824
you can EASILY tell by the use of consplandic composition that this image is objectively designed to ellipt fear in the viewer.
>>
>>5432824
Apparently its supposed to trigger some kind of instinctual fear into the viewer.

Like, you you were caught out in the open by this huge predator and there's no way you are going to survive and escape. Its eyes are locked onto you
>>
>>5432884
That's retarded.
>>
>>5432897
It would make more sense if you saw the painting in person, I guess.
>>
>>5432884
>Huge predator
>Its head is angled up to look at me from a considerable distance away
Either it ain't that big or I'm a giant then lmao, this painting is stupid.
>>
>>5432901
Its a T-rex, so its safe to assume that its bigger than you, atleast.
>>
>>5432901
You're supposed to be a dinosaur too or someshit because for all it's worth human fear of predators is nonexistent.
>>

Surely there are better ways to assert dominance in your life than by claiming not to be disturbed by a painting of a dinosaur
>>

Actually kinda work.
Op is that kind of monkey that evolution destroyed.
Only libido strat to preseve his poor genetic material.
"Unfortunately" for them, females of our species are not instects: they don't eat their offspring, so this is now a fap strat.
>>

>consplandic
This word doesn't even exist
>>
>>5432901
Or maybe you're standing on some rock or plateau higher than you normally would be, at around the thing's eye level, is that so hard to imagine
>>
>>5432824
I like how the ground is noticeably slanted with the observer on a higher elevation than the dino, implies it’s gonna be harder to run away from it and that there is some level of gravitational pull towards the creature.
>>
>>5432973
Viewer's perspective is definitely higher than the T Rex's eyes on a plateau or something. You can see the top of its head and feet. While I like that the face and atmosphere looks uncanny and it's cool because of that, it's a big clumsy T-Rex, this painting can't evoke a sense of "nowhere to run" with such a high perspective. I admit that the more I look at it the more I like it, but posters like >>5432955 are fucking retarded.

Is this scary?
>>
>>5432853
>consplandic
I don't know what dictionary you use but that's not a real word
>>
>>5432824
I think it has a creepy vibe. Like, I don't think this'd be appropriate imagery for a lighthearted children's book about silly dinosaur adventures.
>>
>>5432824
it is scary.
>>
>>5432824
This monster looks like it's staring at me through time and space itself
Imagine watching a live feed of a drone sent back in time(don't ask how that's supposed to work) flying it around and slowly approaching this huge t-rex shaped black mass from behind, going around to its side to get a good look at it
It fucking turns its head around and looks right at you, not even at the drone since it can't tell anything's there with the drone's cloaking, it just knows you're looking and it's staring back

And then ultra-realistic blood comes out of the dinosaur's eyes and oozes through the monitor, and a dino-android terminator bursts through the wall behind you and mauls you to death
>>
>>5432824
Post the other t-rex image
That one's actually scary

This would be scarier if the view point was lower and the dino was looking down at you. The way it is its like the viewer is flying or on a tall cliff in a much less vulnerable position

you are a retard. this picture is overused on just about every board on 4chang and it is almost always mentioned in a context that highlights how fear inducing it is. the fact that you couldn't envision this scenario and that you thought OP saw this picture somewhere, got scared and came running to /ic to ask if he should be was the only course of events further proves how mentally lacking you are. i repeat, you are a retard.

Yeah, I couldnt tell from just the thumbnail but the minute I enlarged it I almost immediately got the feeling that im not supposed to be here and im being hunted. That's a really good painting. Anyone know who made it?

Schoenberg paintings paintings are easily one of the scariest things I ever seen in all my time studying art, fine arts and so on.

It's like this imprint of a broken soul, an phantom yet to find the soothing lullaby of death, is hard to explain what I feel when I see one of his paintings, maybe is just me, but is the same feeling that I feel when I look deep in the hollow eyes reflected in the mirror, far past gone, far past any chance of salvation, burn to a crisp and yet still moving somehow. The fear that I feel is not what the man in the painting could do with me, is a remind me of what I could do if someday the man in the paint could do if he ever go it out of the eyes reflected in my mirror.

His music also really doesn't help it either.

Well, I also think it's beautiful. But the beauty in it in not like something you would find in Debussy or Schwartz, is the same type of beauty in his paintings. Is honestly hard to explain without getting all poetic because it's purely emotional, but we get what I mean.

I think his paintings and music go hand to hand, like one is a continuation of the other just being translated in another medium.

I'm guessing you're not British so on the off chance you don't understand the story behind the art I'll explain.

When covid was at its zenith here in the UK our NHS was getting slammed to the floor and deep dicked. This was was due in large part to significant funding cuts to the server over the last 11 years of Conservative Tory power in an effort to slowly sell off the NHS and turn to an American style of privatised healthcare.

Whilst the NHS was on its knees, rather than allocate further funding, the Tories started this thing called "clap for the NHS", where every evening at 19:00 people would come out of their homes and onto the street and clap for a minute. Was supposed to be morale boosting.

Then our Prime Minister, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson (yes, that's the cunt's real name), contracted covid, and the NHS literally saved his life.

Once things started to get back under control here, with the NHS doctors and nurses and staff worked to the bone and pushed to the brink of emotional ruin, the Conservatives decided to reward the entire healthcare body by.... denying them the payrise that had been stalled for over 10 years, whilst inflation continued to outstrip earnings, meaning that in real terms they'd actually taken a paycut. After enormous national backlash they decided to walk back their decision and implemented... a 1% payrise. Then they funnelled millions of taxpayer funds into phoney contracts owned by their mates and their shell companies.

So, they're clapping, with literal blood on their hands. That's it.

"Blood on their hands" is an incredibly common phrase, you Blairite monkey, THAT'S why he described it as 'too on the nose'.
>the NHS literally saved his life
If you actually believe that Boris Johnson needed to be in intensive care and didn't feign it for the sake of political point-scoring then you are a duped retard. It's typical of your kind that you think anyone who contracts the coronavirus is basically a dead man walking
>This was was due in large part to significant funding cuts to the server over the last 11 years of Conservative Tory power
The NHS hasn't worked in decades and neither party wants to get rid of it because they're both Blairite outfits that know the NHS is a powerful tool whose benefits to consolidating state power (The UK is one of the countries most trusting of government claims about Covid and leads the world in terms of what percentage of the population want to get vaccinated) outweigh the monetary cost of keeping it. A deficit is usually what happens when your treatment priorities shift from taking care of miners with black lungs and crippled shipyard workers to giving twelve year olds free condoms and providing obese women with their eighth abortions in five years.

Die, Tory dupe - but read Peter Hitchens first.

I swear our country and North Korea are the only ones where we get so frenzied about our state services.
