Add a little more curve to her right side also, there's no need to draw the line straight down starting from her hip like that. If she's curvy on the top, don't be afraid to draw her the same down on the bottom, too.Other than those points, and I'm sure other anons will catch something I didn't, for a work in progress, it's good, but it can use some work. I feel like this is kind of a dumb question, but I want to ask anyway. I was looking at Hamada Yoshikazu's art (picrel) and noticed that the lines aren't hard black all the way. There's parts where they are thinner, and parts where they are colored. How do you think he achieves this effect? Drawing a solid black linework all the way around, then erasing it in places afterwards? Or coloring over it? Or is it some sort of emergent property from his process?And in general, I really struggle to get linework as good as this, even as my rendering is slowly but surely improving... any tips to getting it to look like this?

If thats your work, your linework and construction look really good. I dont think I can give you any super specific advice, other than using references, but dont be a slave to them. I used multiple references but didnt exactly copy them. Picrel is the one I used for shading, a separate one for the pose/angle, and different ones for the props. The further along I get in the process the less I rely on them.When it comes to coloring, I start with flat colors, use an airbrush layer for hue shifts around key areas (red around cheeks/nose/elbows/hands/feet, blue/purple around eyes, darkening sun exposed areas like lower arms/shoulders etc). I then painted the shading on a separate multiply layers.>>6197511 #I like to keep my linework seperate, then have a clipping layer above it to blend with whatever the color below is. I also use a mask and soft brush to fade it in certain areas. As far as the line thickness, thats a stylization thing, and comes down mostly to taste
