Any books like Yoshida seiji's houses with a story?

>>
Any good Perspective resources besides How to Draw, Framed Perspective, Erik Olson NMA course, and Marshall Vandruff 1994 Perspective series?

I'm mostly interested in Field of View's relation to vanishing points' positioning and how to make sure that randomly positioned objects on a scene do respect the same lens.
>>
>>6273609
It's just making sure you base all vanishing points off the same station point.
In 2 point perspective, when you connect the 2 vanishing points with the station point it forms a 90 degree angle. All you do is tilt this 90 degree angle on its corner, which is the station point.
This way both vanishing points move in tandem keeping the same lens distortion.
I think it's explained by Erik Olson. If not, then Vanishing Point by Jason Cheeseman-Meyer explains it I think.

Start with the Copic books on ehentai/resource lists in OP. A lot of them are step by step making of style books. Either use your own lines or print some practice lineart and just follow the techniques. It's the best way to learn. what books tackle best the issue of foreshortening? Loomis only mentions it in 1 or 2 pages and not in much depth
I know it's somewhat easier when you render to add form using light and shadow but when it comes to pure line-art, it seems like you have to be a fucking master to make something look good with just a few lines

>>
>>6283457
do you happen to have vol. 1 somewhere?
>>
>>6289628
ok, yea I've tried that
It's not that hard when you're using cylinders and boxes but when you want to do something more realistic the human body is so complex it's hard not to make things look stiff
I know the answer is to draw more, and I will, I was just asking for some direction but whatever
I guess the real answer is just copy from manga artist since they are masters when it comes to convey form using black lines only
>>
>>6289338
>>6289668
https://sirspamdalot.livejournal.com/89372.html
The latter part of this post is pretty helpful. Basically, without rendering, you're left with overlapping and positioning alone to carry the illusion of depth. So to get good foreshortening(and generally a convincing sense of 3D with minimal to no rendering) it's more about placing things carefully and drawing shapes that read well.
I'm a ginormous weeb, but Toth is one of my favourite artists because his art is just so elegantly simple and effective. I study from his work often and Hamm's breakdowns help a lot.

Does anyone have the art book for Alice Madness Returns? I used to love it, but suffered a hard drive failure and lost it. I remember it being pretty rough to find back in the day, I’m hoping it hasn’t only gotten harder since then. I was thinking about buying a copy, but now they are well over 100 bucks.

Yet copying eyes and mouths and feet drawings isn't? You're a brainlet. You can only roleplay as a Xerox machine because anything actually mentally taxing is beyond your ability.

Alright, point me in the direction of where I can study Bargues. The more complete the resource, the more helpful.
>>
>>6293604
not that anon and you're retarded here, Bargues teaches you how to translate 3D objects into 2D paper and applies the knowledge into your artwork. "How tos" are the sub-knowledge on how to imitate the artist art style and how to see from their perspective that might be selected and abandoned based on their experience. Without the strong base, those other foundations built upon it will crumble if it doesn't goes in what the learner wants, discouraging and quit art altogether.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3aPoNPQSJnSJVw2_GUVR7jC0nbnksq6F
It's not rocket science. You need a lot of patience, but that goes for all drawing.
>>
>>6293604
My dude, you're like the worst form of /ic/ crab possible. Copying drawings intended for copying is a solid stepping stone to drawing from life. The people you call brainlets literally teach you how to draw. See: krenz. Go troll somewhere else.

>>6293636
First read the introductory text in the Bargue book. This will give you a history of academic training, a bit of inside scoop into the drama of the times, and show you how to set up a Bargue (or any drawing/painting, really) for copying with minimal distortion/perspective issues. You can, and should apply this to most of the drawings you do just to reinforce your eyes and intuition to get proportion, spacing, sizes, etc correct. I basically never draw sight size anymore but it's good for training when first starting out. You learn with training wheels.

In terms of further resources, you have the high quality plates here that you can print out: https://barguedrawing.wordpress.com/ and follow along with things like these >>6293657. There's too resources to list, I'm sure you can find people on youtube showing demonstrations of how they did a Bargue. You'll have to learn how to have a supple drawing hand that doesn't dig into the paper and learn how to make short and long sweeping marks - curved, straight, etc. No resource can help you, just rote practice to get it into the hands.

>>
>>6294177
You don’t seem to get his point. It’s not that the palette is “wrong”. It’s that the individual in question is unable to do a decent copy even if they tried. They can’t line match, they can’t color match. They are symbol drawing just like constructoids.
>>
>constructoids
Which tranny discord is this nonsense coming from?
>>
>>6294408
No tranny discord. No faggotry. No shitposting or trolling or frog posting or smug posting or any of that bullshit. Just the basic fundies: I put an object in front of you. Draw it to the best of your ability. No amount of theory, no amount of construction, Hampton vilppu Houston loomis bustos krenz whoever will help you. Your eyes can perceive, or they can’t. You can draw, or you can’t. The inbetween is “good enough to fool retards” but you’re in general not fooling anyone until you can fool everyone. This means Dodson isn’t even on the radar. Dodson can’t draw worth shit. All the memes end with this.

Faggots bitching at us saying how we are xeroxing have no fucking idea what it’s like to be able to draw anything you see in front of you. KJG had his “aha” moment that he talks about in the interview. For the rest of you - learn to draw and quit shitposting.

There are literal chinamen in a tiny village producing Van Gogh oil painted replicas where they are told to copy day in day out all while profiting from it all to the tune of 100 million. Their works can be seen in Amsterdam and some parts of museums worldwide. There is nothing wrong being a xerox printer if it can kill two birds with one stone. A traditional scanner won't work due to the size, so you gotta have a camera (dslr, mirrorless, high MP phone camera) that are secured to a tripod and can be focused manually (auto-focus is terrible for printed photos) and controlled remotely (buttons, hand gesture or voice command).
