I'm in the very early stages of character design for a comic I want to make, the issue being, the main character is a 12-year-old boy, and I don't have a lot of experience drawing kids.I already have, hair color, length, skin tone, eyes, attitude.The body construction is what is hard for me because while the design is not erotic really, he is supposed to be noticeably fit for his age, not Baki level shit, believable at being noticeably fit for his age.I've been drawing references from Pinterest from kids athletes and models, but I wanted to know about any ideas of how to approach this.Pic unrelated, I use one of the drawings to experiment with my first real ink brush.

One thing that fucks with me when I draw guys is the chin. It's so strange bc sometimes I see a dorito chin and it manages to work, other times it's glaringly bad. Then I try more square jaws, but then I feel like they look to blocky. So I ask posters here, what is your go to head shape for the "average" guy you draw? Is it much different from when you draw girls?
