Or alternatively keeping the cape, I tried cutting the dress down much shorter to add more contrast with the cape which at least me looking at it seems to work better imo.Gold I definitely agree on, I think the band on the wrist kills some of the flow of the looser sleeves though so just as a bad example I swapped it out with some gold embroidery around the sleeves and ends of the dress.
