I've only ever used the hard round brush, why you faggots need to collect so many fucking brushes is beyond me.
>>

I dont, i here for the 3d models

Anybody got arucelli's brushes? The ones from gumroad and twitch?

Used to be on sale but not anymore, maybe someone here had grabbed them.
>>
Hijacking the brush thread for a second
https://www.clipstudio.net/en/functional_list/

Am I right in thinking the only real difference between Pro and EX are a few features only needed by mangaka/comic artists? Seems like it's just the "convert 2d/3d image to lines and tones" feature plus tools specific to a multi-page document.
The line conversion tool looks pretty cool but I dunno if that alone is worth the significant price difference
>>

I don't know if this just changed recently with 2.0, but on that feature page at least, Pro seems to have virtually all the animation features besides
>Export animation cels and exposure sheet
>OpenToonz Scene File

I remember there used to be some arbitrary limitation like Pro could only do a 2sec animation timeline, but I'm not seeing that mentioned anymore? (not that anyone's using CSP for long form animations)

yes, the pro version have some limitation(i think you can only animate on 12 frames) dunno

is there anywhere other than the asset store where I might be able to find poseable 3d models?
>>
>>6567321
i might be severely autistic but using brushes for stuff like hatches and scars feels like cheating
>>
>>6567509
do you say the same thing when painters use knives or fan brushes for specific lines, or sponges for texture?
>>

that's a good point, doing hatching by hand always feels more rewarding though
>>

It isn't, but doing hatches manually feels very therapeutic for me. Making your life a little bit easier isn't a crime anon, especially when there are deadlines to meet.

iuve gone through dozens of brushes and they all make me worse at drawing. there's just no way to ignore the disconnect between the pen and the tablet. it doesnt even feel like drawing, it feels like gaslighting myself into thinking i put a line on the surface, when its just computer code pretending to be drawn. the brush is either too thick or too thin. too jittery or too blurry.

I'm asking in the context of the current model Surface Pro i5
>>
Will the brushes I have now be compatible with V2.0?
Considering they changed the color mixing properties and some brushes designed by users were specifically designed to overcome the shortcomings of the previous mixing properties, will these be broken?
Also, any way to export all my brushes at once?
I found the right brushes I want to use and that feel comfortable to me and I want to carry them with me in whatever version I might happen to use from now on.
>>
>>6567798
probably no difference then
>>
If I upgrade from 1 to 2, do I keep my 1 license?
>>
>>6567321
Just a warning for anyone considering updating to 2.0. It requires a online connection every time you boot up the program to verify the license. If you don't have access to the internet, you can only launch with limited features and you can't save your work. Before you only needed to verify the license once or after you re-installed the software.

Thank you. I'm disappointed that the perpetual upgrade won't get you an update past 2.0.x. It'd have been perfectly fine if they had allowed 2.0 users to get free updates until 3.0.

EVERYTHING requires an online connection nowadays, even logging into Steam or God forbid looking for references online while you work on your art (which I assume most ppl here dont)
i dont assume any anon here has the balls to go outside and draw on their mobile tablets or some shit so why even worry about that stuff, you complain about an industry standard that's not going away

again, in what scenario are you not tethered to a PC with internet connection while doing art? even for a single moment during license verify?
just hotspot from your phone for a minute and be done with it ffs, do you even use adobe products lately? even if youre using a laptop + screenless combo, you need wi-fi for this
even fucking wacom acts up when your drivers dont find any internet connection

No inherent feature of CSP requires online connectivity. They're doing it purely for DRM to validate your license every time you open, probably because of the subscription model they've introduced now, which is bullshit

Adobe are all-in on subscription bullshit, but not even they require you to be online every time you open an app. Celsys have no excuse.
Not everyone lives in an urban area where mobile reception is guaranteed at all times. If I'm on my 1.5h commute and want to use CSP on my laptop for minor edits on a laptop, I don't want to deal with phone tethering and the reception deadzones for half of my commute just to open a program.
>>
>>6569217
FINE, in that sense you are right and I agree with your plead.
But unfortunately I dont make the rules and this is how the technocracy commiecorpo world has been heading for the last decade.
My only suggestion for your commute struggle in particular is to grab a smaller iPad (Air or Mini), pay the eternal $10 for Procreate and draw away without any of that bullshit, you can get a lot done in those 1.5hs drawing wise and that combo is as old school as it gets, open and play basically.

DAUB pencils are the only one worth bothering with, the rest are just stock Gpen with a shit texture. best of all, they're free

https://daub.gumroad.com/l/nDmxJ

little tip if you dont have tilt. i use the Hard pencil with the pen pressure inverted; lower pressure means bigger strokes, and a very steep exponential curve on density. this is best-fit for tilt shading, and vastly improves the sketchy feeling of using a pencil, as you can easily "cut" into the vague shapes you've defined.

picrel is a mix of the 2b with aa and the hard pencil.
