Digital artists spend more time downloading and selecting brushes than actually drawing.
>>6674234OP spends more time shitposting than drawing.
>>6674234Ehh, not those kinds of brushes. Not many people use stamping like that. Most artists spend brush hunting time trying to find their ideal pens and pencils. Fortunately, I found mine already.
>>6674240Care to share?
>>6674234I have never ever used custom brushes in my life and never will.
>>6674234I didn't know something like this existed...
>>6674234I got like 2 brushes and the basic gpen. a paint brush using my pressure sensitivity and adjusting opacity, and the other is a square shaped blender. they came with the program. I got a few stamps and I've tried the stamps but didn't like them. they just sit on my brush bar.
I 100% spend more time buying brushes/pens and other material for traditional than I do looking for brushes on my digital work.
>>6674234I got like 14 that I use with 3 main ones but that's after a lot of trial and error. Most of them are custom downloads that I had to change over time. I'm not afraid to admit that but to be fair like 10 of the ones I use are for very specific things.>rock texture>big leaf>little leaf>gravel texture Etc
Why would you use a brush to draw in foliage? It's enjoyable to draw such things and outside of people with tight deadlines why rob yourself of the joy of drawing?
>>6674234kek, that's basically AI for babbys

>>6674234>fans>jpgs of umbrellas in specific positions in perspectiveWhat are these retarded gimmick brushes lolAnyways, I spent all my time making the brushes I want to use in Krita and MyPaint instead.Krita's brush engine was very easy to use, picrel is something I painted with a rectangular blending scatter brush. MyPaint, though... MyPaint is a nightmare. It took me TWO HOURS to make a simple mono-size brush that would work correctly at all sizes and wouldn't disappear if I made it too small. And it took ANOTHER hour or so to make a simple HRB. The way they handle pen pressure is just the most retarded shit I've ever seen, holy shit; AND there's hardly any documentation on it either. Thankfully the tooltips in the brush editor were pretty descriptive, but wow. I can't believe several people made extensive brush packs for this program.
>>6674384I think for most people who use this type of shortcut it is just about producing content the fastest.
>>6674234>every artist in pic related is better 99% of current /ic/ work smarter not harder
>be robh ruppel>only use default brushes and edit them to what you need every single time you work>each piece is unique because you'll never be able to remake those brushes againPretty interesting workflow desu
>>6674624>work smarter not harderartists are only allowed to work smarter if they are able to achieve the same result as when they work harder, but in reality, it's the opposite
>>6674286Beautiful inking anon!
Jaime Jones brush pack since forever ago. added to it a tiny bit but mostly stick with 3-4 from that one.
>>6675166Thank you!>>6674661I like this sort of thing I will have to look into his work.
>>6674527>found the idiot who doesn't have a job. It's for a faster work process. Clients/bosses are assholes who doesn't care if you take your time to make a pretty fan. When they demand you make an illustration with a fan within an hour you can't waste more than 30 minutes on the fan and its details. Use your brain.
