He teaches a very generic approach, so you'll be able to easily adapt it to any style you want to. While studying the lectures, refer to his book. There he talks a bit about exercises you should do if you're a total begginer, in order to get better at visualizing 3d shapes, feeling the forms, the perspective etc.
