I'm considering charging for quick portraits to raise funds for a friend. I'm a professional illustrator, but portraits are not my thing, and I'm terribly afraid of messing it up in front of strangers. Tips and personal accounts are most welcome.

It's extremely easy to impress normies. There are hacks that would literally only copy pre existing artwork/manga panels and get millions of views/followers.

Pretty sure it's a universal experience for any creative. The general masses are very easy to please, so easy they've literally created formulas for how to appeal to the most masses. It's most prevalent in the music industry, but there's a formula for pretty much any creative endeavor that guarantees normies will go gaga over it. For art it's been edge lighting, warm colors and pretty girl for quite a while now.
