why do colors look so different on my tablet vs my pc? also: are the arms too long/short/can you even tell?
>>7366712>>7366700doubleposter doubleposter point and laugh
>>7366712Colors appear different on your tablet compared to your PC because different devices use different color technologies, have varying color accuracy, and may have different default settings, resulting in variations in how colors are displayed on each screen; essentially, each device interprets and renders colors slightly differently. Hope this helps!
>>7366700they also will look different on every other PC and maybe even in different browsers. on most mobile it probably similar but that's not certain. but we know good pictures look good for everyone, so just deal with it
>>7366712>>7366723>>7366725All of the above. It's also why they have web safe color profiles that are supposed to remain relatively consistent across many formats. In general, if your work is going to be viewed online you go with srgb or websafe and for physical mediums you go with cmyk or something like adobe rgb.
>>7366735>>7366723thanks. is it good practice to render everything on a separate layer, by the way (i have sleeves, torso, and face on separate layers)
>>7366743That depends entirely on your own workflow. In general when I'm blocking in my flats I separate similar colors by layer i.g. skin layer, blue shirt, black pants. There isn't one right way to do that, just whatever works for you. It'll change over time as you learn more techniques so don't worry about that too much.

Made some progress in the wip. Any criticism is welcome!
>>7366806not to powerlevel, but I've been drawing every day for over a year now, so I honestly can't remember the last time I felt guilty for not having drawn. I've definitely felt a pressure to draw at one time or another since drawing every day, as I want to maintain my streak, but that's different from guilt. what whipped me into shape was thinking about my long-term goals more. idk how old you are, but I'm 27 and initially wanted to get into drawing when I was 19. I ended up quitting after a couple months and didn't draw for 4 years. I definitely felt guilt during that period and in 2020 made the resolution to stick with it. it was not perfect, but I eventually started working on prioritizing my schedule and I've managed to draw at least 30 minutes a day for over a year now, as I said. the point being that I erred, and I think a lot of us do, because we set our sights on our immediate circumstances; but if you look towards the future you will more often do what your future self would've wanted you to do. so, if you wanna make a daily habit of drawing, or at least quite frequently, try to keen an eye towards your future-self and try to get some drawing in earlier in the day rather than later (otherwise you're more likely to put it off).
>>7366806I feel guilty when I'm not drawing since I think I'm getting better. Then I draw and remember that I'm not and want to stop.

I think the quickest route to getting /pro/ is having that direct instruction with someone who knows what they're talking about and can explain what they know intelligebly to relative novices. otherwise just do your best to figure out the best alternatives and every so often (maybe every month or so) see how you're doing. obviously it's important to set realistic goals and not be too hard on yourself; though you don't want to be too lenient either.

/ic/, i have a horrible confession to make. I love ChatGPT. I just love it. I've browsed this shithole for 5 years now, and like everyone else here, I took an anti-AI stance for years, thinking there was nothing redeemable about the tech. But my parents finally forced me to go back to school and get an engineering degree, and by God, GPT is great for homework. It solves every single problem perfectly, accurately, and with ample explanation. I barely have to study or do any work anymore. It's the world's greatest study aid and cheating tool. This tech might be the most goddamn revolutionary thing invented in the last 300 years, unironically. I don't know how this thing is so amazing. It literally knows everything. It's both awe-inspiring and scary.I still hate AI image generation, but these LLMs man, Christ almighty

if i want to draw coom should i learn how to draw bodies or faces first? so far i've only been drawing faceless figures but i realized faces and expressions are really important as well so should i learn that first? or slowly learn both at the same time?
It's a weird question but are there any good books to learn how to design and draw elaborate clothes and outfits? I've been reading some fashion magazines and checking sewing patterns out but I'd like something more focused on the fundamentals of fashion/clothing design.Anything to help me learn how to draw original costumes and whatnot, really.
First time drawing in 2 years. Left is first attempt, right is thrid. Decided to start drawing at work because I have nothing to do and might as well. But I can only do traditional here which sucks. >>7367016>but by the time you get halfway through your skill will have improved tremendouslybecause you just draw and keep drawingloomis is something you use when you're at art block plateau so much you're willing to abandon all those modern guides that are loomis but better
>>7367468Better than most first portraits I've seen. To get better, you're gonna have to focus on anatomy and rendering, your anatomy is innacurate (eyes too big, shoulders too narrow, neck too narrow too, asymmetrical ears and jawbone, etc.) and your shading/rendering is non-existant, so your character is really flat. That said, you have a nice eye for seeing the space relations between the features and your thirds are okay. As usual, read Loomis. It will do you good. >>7367491No problem, glad I could hel
>>7367492literally no beg needs drawabox. loomis, hampton, vilppu, anything is better. hell if you insist on drawing boxes, pick up a perspective book and draw the boxes from those instead
>>7366594I'm following this process on zigzag folds.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d07NanfYT8UI'm getting filtered HARD and I don't understand what I'm doing wrong in the basics, need tipsDo I force some construction with angled planes first so I can build up folds on top of them?
>>7367007Good luck entering the workforce and trying to creatively solve problems with AI. It might be fine for some things but holy shit I do not want an AI-trained engineer to design a sewage system or a bridge.Image generation AI is an orobouros, learning from garbage and creating more garbage. It WILL take jobs since normies really don't fucking care but the best artists will always be human.
>>7367468You went into an impotent rage when someone gave you harsh criticism last thread. And you're still symbol drawing.
>>7367509Shrug. Gotta pick the wheat from the chaff.Dipshits like you just pop off buzzwords without any real desire to see people get better. Not worth my time.
>>7367007>Christ almightyIs right because this shit is demonic. I genuinely fear for the next generation because satan is here on earth and is actively creating a race of dull-witted beasts fit only to serve at their techno-oligarch's call.
>>7367510I did tell you exactly what to do to stop symbol drawing and you went like this.
>>7367506It's like growing up eating processed "American Cheese" it tastes fucking amazing but once you eat actual cheese you realize how from birth you've been conditioned to be the perfect consumer. Gleefully eating the mediocre slop that's fed to you at exorbitant prices.
>>7367516Damn, guess I'm not worth talking to then. Suppose I'll never get better even. How does it feel to be right all the time, anon?
>>7367519>Suppose I'll never get better even. You're actually drawing so I'm sure you will. Good luck
>>7366950Thanks anon. I always love seeing nyren drawn.
Anyone know an artist who's really good at drawing/painting pubic hair?
>>7367254So it picks up some color from the paper. But it doesn't actually matter what order you put any of the layers in, multiplication is commutative. I think the values being good matters more than the color being good, so I tend to do shadows first.Except the noise overlay, that still need to be at the top.
>>7367519Are you a child? That anon was/is trying to help, they want you to succeed lol
>>7367485keys, how to draw what you see, simplified drawing for planning animation, for the weebs: hitokaku, and for the autistic: robertson.
>>7367535gay bear mode artists
>>7367535do you want to learn by copying them? I dont know any, but i like how mine usually turns out, my only advice is, regardless of what your style is, focus on the impression, dont detail every single cooch hair strand, as long as you capture the essence it should work, zooming out of your pic helps achieve this.
>>7367573Not copy, I just want to learn how good artists indicate it. I remembered Anders Zorn by the way
>>7367279The great filter
>>7367595The water is INSANE
>>7367127looks cool!love how you did her hair
>>7367127Great stuff. I’ve never seen hair textured that way. It’s very nice
>>7367483Nothing you said makes sense.
>>7367116drawing circles and ellipses is fucking hell
>>7367678This, but cubes
>>7367595the father of zornography
>>7367697I like cubes. Do you just raw dog cubes or do you try and put them interesting places?
Its so fucking over, the shit I wanted to draw even in its most simple form
>>7367715The "attempt" It's fucking over
>>7367716How long you been at it anon. That's fairly developed piece.
>>7367720I just wanted the most basic, the most basic form. The line art.BUT I CANT FUCKING DO IT
>>7367715that’s a tranny anyway
>>7367716>>7367727It's obvious you're rushing. Proko takes like 1.5 hours just to sketch an underdrawing for a portrait, give yourself time to figure out the proportions and everything
>>7367732Why does everybody bring up that jew proko?Snooty, privileged, dick. Hope he gets stabbed.
>>7367714Mostly just try to position them at different angles
>>7367732I am no longer trying. I cried over being unable to even draw. This is >>7367716 PATHETICI should be better
>>7367734Because he's good and relevant, it's not that complicated. I don't like him as a person but I admire his skills

>>7367727>3 month schizo is now 3 year schizo
>>7366613I will finish rendering after work. I just wanted to be relevant with you guys.
>>7367735Set a vanishing point then make a building blocks castle.I Aldi like to imagine them thrown into the air with no rhyme or reason. Drawing them mid tumble. The challenge is making sure no angle is the same.
>>7367741>>7367743?
>>7367743I still remember him as the 6 months schizohow time flies
>>7367748Hey, you can be an edgelord all you want, we were trying to help you.
Wasted an hour polishing this turd.
Hello icI am studying face in profile with Loomis. How do I make my art clearner (those piles of lines look bad).I also take advices on the face (I used a model).
>>7367751But I cant do it, its impossible.
>>7367757"Ghost" your lines before you commit to them, hover with your pencil above the paper making the mark you're planning to make before actually making it, this should make your sketches a lot cleaner. And don't press so hard onto the paper when you're just searching for the proper line.I think the head itself is pretty good
>>7367752It's okay anon. I spent my lunch break doing this.>>7367745We all suck. But if you keep at it, you might find at the end that you've managed to kill some precious time.
>>7367758If it's impossible than stop drawing and stop coming here, it's pointless anyway, right?
>>7367734Because he draws well and teaches well.
Nigger.
>>7367752 study the skull
>>7367764Why cant I?
>>7367765do you HAVE to post racist shit?

>>7367780You put the lines in the wrong places, put them in the right places next time.
uhh pawelbros?? did we just got oneupped by another permabeg?
pawell drawsthis nig draws less than cris
There's no advice, I should have been better, it's impossible to improve. But why? I tried everything? Why is it only me that can't IMPROVE?
>>7367414No idea for the comic, its a french one i found on pinterest

See, a troll that has some self respect would rebrand at this point
Some sketches
umm whats the painting equivalent to grinding 1000 floating loomis boxes?
>>7367800With this
I am not a troll. I tried again, nothing I try comes out right. I should cut every tendon in my hand. Rip it out, I know it.Rip them out, use ice so they won't heal. My right hand fails.>>7367715>>7367716https://youtu.be/I0KOy6H-s6w
No one takes me seriously, they know I have no hope. No help, no progress, null.

>>7367808Why couldnt I? Why is everyone better? >>7367715>>7367716
In over a week I'll have been at this for 3 months Some days I wonder if I'm even making progress but then I look at how I started
Been working on this evil guy and cloth is fucking me up. I have some ideas but I'd like to hear your thoughts before changing anything
>>7367801same but you do a flat wash on the sides.
he reminds me of a different schizo from a video game general
>>7367819use referenceif you can't find one, make one
>>7367801Those dumb ass Bargue plates
>>7367801Some retarded shit like practicing stroke pressure or stroke economy. It could help you in theory, but most of the people that do it will do so in such a wrong manner that they might ad well have shoved a paintbrush up their ass.
stinky
>>7367745Good job anon, tons of effort put in, i like the choice of making her hair purple, maybe go for something more saturated. What I don't like is the jacket and hair line color, way too greyish, makes it look dull.
>>7367737Oh shit it's THIS schizoRun for the hills
>>7367844I'll change that when I get home. Can you give a suggestion. Colors are very new to me still. I know that's asking effort of your part but I'd appreciate it
>>7367747Will try this next time. Since we're talking about cubes there is a question I want to ask you: All side of a cube are supposed to be the same size, right? >>7367788Thanks.
>>7367858By definition yes. But when we talk cube we're not talking mathematical. At least I'm not
>>7367715THIRD FUCKING ATTEMPTFAILURE AGAINworse, the nonnas are here
>>7367863this why the most call them boxes
>>7367873I like cube tho-I'll try and use the term "boxes" if it bothers you babes
he looks fucked up but i can’t figure out why :(maybe his head is too small? his eyes look off too and maybe his hand is too smalldrawing is so hard istg it looks like it should be easy like just draw the picture dumbass but my brain can’t handle it
>>7367879and i tried coloring it but that made it look worsealso tried a few different things with his hair just to experiment
>>7367871FOURTH fucking attemptI ate the page
>>7367716Why is it over? It's as ugly as the ref (maybe a tiny bit more)
>>7367715>>7367716Me attempt. Been drawing for 3 years. Don't give up brother

>>7367889lol
fuck me is the face perspective alright? I can't figure out if it's good or not
Even nonnas hated on me https://lolcow dot farm/m/res/423482.html#432344
>>7367900The face is okay, neck is fucked
I tried improving her hair. Does this look good, I'm really not sure about this look yet. It's WIP, please try not to judge it beyond the hair that much.

>>7367939Now post ur pp
>>7367732But anon you dont understand. I must draw in under an hour and post. I must be judged by my scribbles. It is imperative I get get the drawing perfect in no more than 5 no 10 minutes at most or else I'll never be good. No I will not go back and fix it, I will simply start the next drawing.
my very scientific Loomis calculations resulted in this>>7367911I'm so salty about the same thing I'm all salt already
>>7367934sure but be aware that i post once a year.@RaxavArt, @RaxavNSFW
>>7367851I'm not happy with my edit, yellow and blue are hard hues. to keep it to 3 colors I would go with the yellow shades a bit more green (move the hue wheel towards the greens.) I made mine a bit more orangy >>7366839 because I think it gives a bit more depth, it will go more greenish because of the ambient light instead of a reddish hue.
>>7367964A push in the right direction is better than nothing at all. I will test when I get home.
>>7367716>>7367871>>7367715Why?
>>7367863Okay. Thanks for the help.

/beg/ I have ascended. I now understand why I should draw a hundred thousand floating boxes. I will happily surrender myself to the altar of three dimensional understanding.Amen, bros.
>>7368005pyw fag
>>7368005see you at the top
>>7367595the way i see and do them is a simple shape that doesnt have details and it seems fuzzy because they blend the edges a bit to the skin, adding some occlusion, same way some artists would blend the hairline and the forehead.I'm not the best at it, but thats what i do, a fuzzy shape that has some softer edges and gets darker as it goes down
>>7367911Not getting a reply doesn’t mean nobody liked it, it just means nobody has said anything yet. Who knows how many saw it and liked it? Which drawing is yours anyways??

how do i learn to renderall i know is that i'm supposed to use multiply layer.
>>7368088
>>7368093thank you
>>7368088>how do i learn to draw >all i know is that i'm supposed to use a pensil
>>7368104digital art isn't just "pick up a brush and dip it in some paint," though. you have to know about layers and modes and tools and downloading brushes and materials and shit. unless you think i'm going to be able to render well by just using the default csp pen and changing colors manually over and over?
I can't get my circles to look like spheres, and there's surprisingly little material online discussing how to get your contours right other than "if it looks right it is right"
