using colors and sharing for the first time everi’m still a beginner and i havent touched colors or shading until nowi was mostly just using a pencil this whole time with fineliners and i switched to digital two months ago but haven’t touched colors yet because it all seemed so intimidating and i didn’t know where to starti didn’t want to do a background on my own as my first illustration so i just picked a stock photo from google how did i do? anything i should keep in mind? this is my first illustration where i can say that it’s finished

You do not need a color accurate monitor. No one else has a color accurate monitor, and you don't have to keep to brand colors. Either you have to just adjust your monitor settings, or it's stuck in HDR mode. Either way, colors are relative, just adjust it afterwards if you need to.Also, your darks aren't dark enough.
>>7783501nah my monitor is just really bad, it’s a 2018 Samsung gaming monitor… the colors are so blown out it’s awful to work it, literally can’t see the difference between a dark red and a bright red, both are super bright and i tried to calibrate it but i can’t get the VA look out so you’re saying i need more contrast in my colors?
