I spoke to a bloke at my company who lives in Denver and has done for 8 years, a Brit, he said he moved out there for only a year and ended up marrying an American woman. He said that honestly pay aside it isn't great, he gets barely any holiday, the place isn't safe, and it's just weird, he's planning on moving back here with his wife. Apparently the homeless/drug problems are really bad and crime is a nightmare.

I'm a software engineer so could be on a silly salary, but honestly I'm quite a frugal person so I don't know if my life would improve by much living there, the outdoorsy stuff is great but the towns and cities look like shitholes.

40k paycut to what salary?
>>
I'm a non-retarded SWE, the money I could be making
Fucking hell
But I lived there for a year and it's not for me tbqh

He could have moved to Boulder or even its suburbs (eg Superior) if he had an ounce of a brain.

He works remotely so can live anywhere but said his wife is hybrid so has to go into an office in Denver.
>>202752702
So you'd be earning around 40k here? That's above average and more than enough for a single person, but I don't know what your lifestyle is like.
>>
>>202753101
Part of my problem is I live in California so my rent is high, I don't really spend money on anything and I own my car because it's a used piece of shit I bought years ago
Hard part would be the visa

I'm on 35k, rent a two bed flat and have over 800 quid spare at the end of the month after rent, bills, food etc if that gives you an idea. I live on the edge of a small city.

It suppresses appetite. There are tonnes of fat people out there you know. I'd take it myself but food is one of the few pleasures I have in life so I imagine I would an hero if couldn't eat anymore.

No, the name ozempic popped out of nowhere about 2 months ago. You're literally just repeating what others have already said.
