No, I failed my first one at the very end of the exam when some pedestrian decided to step on the crossing at the last moment. From the opposite side of a four lane street, but hey.
Two attempts still isn't that bad though as driving licenses are a full blown industry here. The passing rate is 50% for the theory test and 30% for the actual driving.

I got mine at 18 on the first try.

I was lucky though since it gotten really strict nowadays.

I would say Sweden is one of the hardest countries to get a driver license compared to other countries lik the US or southern Europe.

In the US it is cheap, probably because of how much the like to write tickets. More drivers = more ticket potential, bastards.

Yes, although I was and still am pretty brick footed with the accelerator and brake. We did basically everything you would need except parallel parking.

I failed the theoretical since my memory sucks. There's like 60 questions and you need almost all of them correct.
Then I spun out during the ice driving test and had to do it again.
And then I forgot to check the mirror while parking = failed again.

>>
>>97111822
American driving tests are piss easy since you drive automatics. The only remotely challenging thing about driving is learning to operate a manual gearbox smoothly whilst driving.
>>
>>97126098
It's not just the automatics, it's also the idiot proof road networks with lots of traffic lights and turn lanes, and the piss poor licensing requirements. I've heard Americans reporting that their license tests required little more than driving around the block for ten minutes and parking in a huge empty lot.
>>
I passed it at my 5th time. The driving school hated me and didn't let me pass even when I drove perfectly. I still consider suing them

>>97111372
Probably just because the US license is a fucking joke.
Here you have to take several hours (city, overland, Autobahn, night) in a licensed driving school which obviously is pretty damn expensive. Have mine for quite some time now, but I guess it costs like 75€ per hour (50 for the teacher, 25 for car, fuel etc.) and take that for 20 hours and add to that the theoretical hours you have to take, learning material, fees etc. and do the math.

More likely because you're doomed without a car in the United States of Driving. Your urban planning is complete shit.

Yes, but it's a joke here. You only have to parallel park and I even touched the bounds with the back of my car. I would've failed myself.
It's dirt cheap to get as well, I think the conversion would be around 30 usd.
Even though it's this easy most people go to remote towns where they give you the licence only by paying the fee.
I have no idea how there aren't accidents in every corner.

Passed the second test. The first ones I fucked because it was in a town where there's 10m of road on either side for when there were ox carts and shit. But i had to do a right turn and for some reason thought I had to merge first and got halfway into the opposite lane.
