Notes on the new song:It was the one called "いとをかしMyType" (apparently the theme is personality tests)Once again it doesn't sound exactly like anything they've made before.However this time it was only a sneak peak and ofc it had to cut off exactly when sh*t hit the proverbial fan for real lolThat being said, even in the one and a half minutes they played it's clear that this song is - surprise! - all over the place.It starts with an autotuned Matsuri over downtuned guitars (seriously), then goes into a bunch of punk-rock riffing with no vocals, then into this very MTH-like metalcore section that has Yukina going back and forth between kawaii and death voice, then into an almost comedic in tone funky groove, then into a really catchy chorus (?) that brings some of the earlier riffs back in, followed by a flat out deathcore breakdown that dropped so hard I almost cracked a tooth lolCue the sneak peak curtains.So yeah - it's pure Hanabie insanity - somehow just as chaotic as it flows smoothly. I don't understand how Matsuri writes this stuff... Had it been anyone else I'd swear they're on some really heavy drugs Btw while it's hard to judge by the compressed radio broadcast they seem to have finally gone back to the "guitars leading over vocals" style of mixing and mastering that characterized Gaku Taura's productions. I.e. everyone who was not so happy with how Matsuri's riffs were delegated to the background in their more recent singles - you have something to look forward to. Not that the rest of us don't lol
