Previous thread: >>50283321This thread is for the discussion of untranslated Japanese visual novels. What are you playing? What are you looking forward to? What have you finished?
i'm at 25% of de-ja after one sesh. it's a nice read but i saw on the walkthrough that 90% of the game is in the starting city instead of doing actual archaeology so that's kinda bummer
Finished 呪殺編 in Shigatsu Youka.I'm pretty damn certain Mika is Haruka. They both have big boobs, imouto, and are good at geography. Plus the green eye.As for the rest of the mystery, I can only guess that the sakura are big servers who slurps up and stores memories and shit from corpses and then resonate with each other because they're clones. They probably also resonate with the past and future too or some shit, which is how Sakura and Natsumi, who have sakura spores in their body, get their predictions. I'm guessing Kotarou was asked by Sakura to prepare a body for her to revive in (Not sure how he got that ability). Natsumi was chosen because she could resonate with the sakura and recieve Sakura's memories/personality.The green eyes are probably from being in contact with the blood from someone who can resonate with the sakura. In fact this whole branching story is probably Mika(Haruka) trying to establish a happy end.Not sure why the big horn sounds happen. Maybe some will in the sakura trying to interfere with reality or something.

Is the friendship in Senshinkan anything like in Mahoyo? "I will have badass friends that I can rely on, but let's keep in mind that we have separate lives" type of messaging. Is it that prominent?
Let's try again: let's discuss sakutoki, I'm enjoying it a lot so far (Chapter III) What did you think of it? is it kamige?
Teikan no Eve Bethelhttps://vndb.org/v43113Meteor world actor gaslight bullethttps://vndb.org/v60196Anymore vn to look forward to?
>>50327223Overall It was worse than sakuuta
>>50326544shits not happening at the rate they're going lmfao
>>50327605tsukihime red garden
>>50327610why do you think so?
>>50327223it's kamige yet not kamige. too many things that attracted sakuuta readers aren't all that present and it's all sidestepped into being more info-dumpy. win-lose situation for most as some subscribe to that kinda stuff and others dont.
>>50327701>it's kamige yet not kamigei think that also applies to uta. if it works it works too well but it has too many vulnerabilities. it's not like wa2 which seems almost perfect
>>50327710that's true. i do think that uta has its appeal to a very specific audience though that toki loses out on. uta is a lot more moe than it at least.
>a lot more moethe fuck does that mean
>>50327742not that anon and only played like 20 minutes of toki but i think he means that toki is more like wa2, in that scenes are structured with specific intention and meaning and goal, while in uta most of the characters are just hanging out with each other most of the time
>>50327951precisely.
>>50327953that's interesting. i did get that vibe from my 20 minutes of playtime but i may check it out as someone who wasn't a fan of uta. does anything in toki live up to cathartic kimika imoi ending in terms of feels/romance/sudden bloom of it? or should i go for tsui no sora remake's yasuko
>>50327966>kimika imoi ending in terms of...not in that sense. it depends on what you liked about uta (if anything!) to say if you should give toki any further chances.>or should i go for tsui no sora remake's yasuko100%, yes
>>50327223I'm also on III and enjoying it a lot. It's nice not having the first chunk of the game being shit like in Uta, so I'm just hoping that the upcoming heroine routes aren't Rin-tier.
>>50328106>it depends on what you liked about uta (if anything!)i did like the wa2-esque melancholic monologues a lot, but toki did seem like a more mature work that wouldn't have those. should i try?>100%, yesthank you, i was uncertain, but added on my backlog
>>50327951as part of the very specific audience uta has i personally felt that the sol in had a lot more significance than toki’s . i like that game a lot but it is a pretty big departure from the first, the subtlety at least for me was a lot more toned-downif you try to read it from the perspective of scajerk’s self-mythologizing i think you’ll enjoy it more than myself
>>50328133i say give it a try, then. there's a decent chance you'll find something of value even if not the whole game.
>>50328219thank you, anon
Also has anyone here played 石埜三千穂 and 長岡建造’s Pieta? If so is it worth getting all 4 endings? I kinda called it quits getting the second just because the game keeps pulling the same cards with the plot nd it got a little tiring
I liked the characters and sol in sakuuta more.Makoto in sakutoki was a huge downgrade.

>>50327223coming from someone that enjoyed sakuuta, it was an utter disappointment

Wanting to play White Album for the first time, should I go for the 1998 original or the remake?
>>50328865>should I go for the 1998 original or the remakego for the og if you want h scenes. otherwise it depends on which art style you like more. the remake also has an added heroine.
>>50328886>>50328886If these are the only differences I think ill go for the old one.The artstyle is so nostalgic and nice
>>50328954maybe i'm too much of a zoomer or anything but i usually can't imagine preferring the old style unless the new one is deliberately flattened. like how can you prefer the one on the left?

>>50329121>maedaI still struggle to differentiate how much of his success was his own skills and not just imitating Hisaya. His pre-CLANNAD VN parts are honestly average or below average.Moon story was unnecessarily confusing, same with ONE and his routes were too edgy for a game that was supposed to imitate ToHeart. AIR was him trying into nakige and making an utusge with tragic ending and Minagi's route was too long and barely romantic. It's like he didn't really understand why people read galge and nakige and was throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. While Hisaya made attractive heroines with pleasant sad stories and simple magical elements. In Clannad I think Maeda finally grasped Hisaya's style and perfected it.

Bocchi?! You cant say that!
i'm and esl, ok. so i will concede. that said, "untranslated" vn general sounds like vs that "don't have a translation", not vns that "are read without translation".
>>50338878point is, unless /vn/ enforced the "translated vns only" rule, there's no real reason for this general to exist
>>50338878>>50338885We should categorise eroge discussion into 6 visual novel generals. It would be a highly optimised and efficient way to talk about eroge, and no one would be confused on how to talk about games.>/vg/ for translated games read in English>this one for untranslated games but for people to read with translation tools (yes, it's different. see: i can twist the purpose of the general because i'm retarded) ((NO, you CAN'T play these in the translated thread)>a different one for already translated games that we read untranslated (there is a point)>a whole different one for untranslated games that are read untranslated>another different one for untranslated games that are getting a translation>and another one for people who want to ask about translations (this is different from vnts; we blogpost visual novels in here)
Let's be honest with ourselves: we all view mtlcucks as subhumans that should be bullied into suicide unless they learn japanese.
Could your VN cast survive Swan Song's earthquake? @_@I can imagine the Angel Beats! 1st Beat cast going through it with ease~ Yurippe will pretty much do what she did when she started the SSS... her otherworldly charisma will make every character follow her, and she will make the same rules that prevented them from going crazy in the AB! world @@ but she didn't create those rules without some time passing and her growing more as a leader... So I think at first, she will be trigger-happy a little bit, and she will cause a couple of massacres ... but Hinata being there next to her will be the rope that will stop her from turning into a crazed leader... after that phase passes? it will be easy sails of her recruiting everyone and making the perfect operation to survive V-V not to mention how in the AB!-verse, characters can be OP @@ Shiina is a master in combat that used to take armies on alone... guns and sheeit? Chaa had a John Wick past~ and am sure unc still got it V-V Naoi-chan got his hypnosis... he might be the first true EVIL we need to take on first, but he will come around and be super useful~ Otonashi will be there for him... I think this is the best use of him @_@ Angel... Kanade-chan will not be doing anything big, but that is just like the rest of the characters... they can still be useful in their own ways V-V some of them were sick in their life... but if I consider that this whole plot is at a certain point where all of them were still healthy? it might be only one (2nd one can manage) character who needs the rest to take care of them... this will make this hard to watch and wholesome at the same time... ok, thinking about all of this, now I want to write an Angel Beats! x Swan Song story T_____T but I can never give them the rightful treatment... So I will not disgrace them with an amateurish work T-T
>>50338964bro there's not enough people for that. you either>split based on the translation status onlykinda like now, but ban untranslated vn discussion from /vn/ (long-term impossible since mtl is getting real good), this way this general has a reason to exist>split based on the userbaseone thread for jop (aka who read in jp regardless of tl status) and one for eops/mtls. again, kinda like now, and as long as /vn/ doesn't ban untranslated vns discussions then mtlsirs should be contained there. though in this case it would be better to make this more clear from the op>remove the language barrier completeforget this general, but ideally split /vn/ in plotkino and moeshit, regardless of language/translation status

Anyone here read Ikikoi? How is it?
>>50338842i only jop on monday/tuesday
>>50339081Ikikoi is THE best eroge I have read in my life. The pacing, the characters, the plot, the humor and the romance are all perfect. You will never find a girl more wonderful than the many heroines found in Ikikoi.Written by Sca-Ji himself, this tops Subarashiki Hibi and every other "plot"-focused eroge on every level. The story doesn't mess around, it introduces you to each girl and then sends you straight into a short but hilarious prologue before allowing you to choose a girl to romance shortly after.Did I mention the girls were fantastic? Not one of them is sub-par and the art has been beautifully crafted by the master of moe: Karory. Tane is guaranteed to warm your heart in a way it has never been warmed before, while Eika will surpass your expectations of what the best tsundere every made could possibly be. Ryou will pierce your soul with her cold gaze only to lovingly nurse it back to health, and Tsumugu will leave you wondering how a maid can be so absolutely perfect in every way. When you hear "Kawashima Rino", you can forget about Yuki because Tsumugu is the character you will never forget for your entire life. The main character Chouji as well is a character you will never forget, as through his charming dialogue and cool expressions you can truly see why every girl love shim as much as they do.Ikikoi is more than just a "moege", it is the heart and soul of what makes eroge great. Nothing will ever surpass Ikikoi in terms of sheer perfection. It is the exodia of the kamiges. Every kamige was created just to prepare you to read Ikikoi.

>>50348395>Should I just do that and leave the others?what's your goal?
>>50348412I'm looking for well-written romance drama. There are other games with heroines more my style, so this isn’t the kind of title where I feel compelled to play all routes. But I'll also definitely do the greenhead yandere.

>>50350010shit, I need to read that then
at what point or after how many vns/time does the reading process become more "passive" in the sense that you can just mostly enjoy and read and not have to force yourself to understand everything and look up a bunch of words?
>>50350123obviously depends due to all of us having different brains but for me it was like this:>read like 10 VNs with the VNR Furigana overlay>start wanting to read a vita VN, buy the game (emulation was ass)>realize that I'm already at the point where I only need to look up rare stuff or regional slang and having instant access to easy lookups was just making my brain treat every VN like a school test rather than relaxing literature>never go back
>>50350142so 10 vns for you, how long did that take and how much of a grind was it?
>>50350146I don't know, 1-2 years I think. I was unemployed but I also kept getting addicted to random video games so I wasn't reading every day.what I do remember vividly is getting actual pounding headaches from my first VN if I read for too long
>>50350123>and not have to force yourself to understand everything and look up a bunch of words? You don't have to look up every word. If the meaning is obvious then just skip it and keep reading
>>50350123once to decide to start enjoying reading (no lookups) and then do so for ~100 hours. comprehension will vary based on your previous vocab/kanji knowledge (and it won't improve), but you brain will switch to the "holistic sentence understanding" mode, which is very comfy and you shouldn't get burnouts. the more you do so the easier it gets, but you still have to dedicate time to looking stuff up otherwise you won't acquire anything new (especially a problem with unvoiced vns where you'll keep whitenoising reading even if you get the gist of the vocab)

>>50351082Thank you
>>50350123It's a gradual process, so it's hard to demarcate. It gets a tiny bit easier every day. It also depends a great deal on how challenging the material you're reading is. A Pokemon game with furigana, you could probably manage in a matter of months. Classical literature like Genji Monogatari is challenging even to natives and I have no shame in admitting I struggle with it even after ten years of reading practice. If I recall correctly, I think shounen manga started to feel if not easy, then "Normal" for me after about a year, adult manga after two, and most eroge after three. Of course, the more practice you get, the faster you'll improve, so if you read a whole lot I'm sure you could beat those times. If you already haven't started, then after your first year or so of studying, I'd recommend mixing in some less challenging reading with minimal or no dictionary usage to get some experience reading without overly relying on your dictionary. Looking up words is always the best for learning, but you'll enjoy your reading a lot more if you wean yourself off it, and you can make up somewhat for the lowered efficiency by simply reading more (which you'll want to do, because you'll be having more fun).
>>50351252>I'd recommend mixing in some less challenging reading with minimal or no dictionary usagei think this is the trick. if you are in mood for active studying then look up everything and acquire stuff, otherwise read something easier than you can breeze through, even if sacrificing some comprehension.
>>50351082wow, it's real, bless you anon-kun. I would guess that I have to read the vn novels for that to make sense so I better finish sakutoki quickly
>>50351082Thanks anon
>>50351252>Classical literature like Genji MonogatariWell yeah it's literally in a different language. I don't even thing that one is technically classical Japanese but something even older. Just read a modern Japanese translation for that one.
>>50351082Thanks bro.
>>50350123It's an average of 12 VNs for most people within 2 years where 1 year in is where it actually feels like it gets easier. If you aren't a NEET who can read all day, it will take longer. Just read whatever is most interesting, don't compare yourself to others and just remember your age actually doesn't count when many people, regardless of their background, failed because of endless excuses.
>>50350123I translated a really short nukige and it was like training in the hyperbolic time chamber for my reading/comprehension. I went from reading at a first grade level to reading at a sixth grade level. By that point I could read and understand most non-technical dialogue at the speed of which I can with my native language. Before translating I had been reading for about a year. About 2 years on now--I still use a texthook+yomichan so I don't have to spend too much time looking up a word but there are times where I forget to even enable the clipboard inserter because I just start reading and forget everything else. Sometimes I don't even read and just listen to the characters speak.
>>50351539>He doesn't read Genji Monogatari off of his copy of the original scrolls he stole from a museumExcuse me sir, I think you have the wrong thread.>>50342460/sI was talking about the modern renditions; I need to read sentences multiple times and look up words regularly to feel I've comprehended it.I still have very little experience with formal literature in Japanese, but I've found what I've read quite pleasant despite the disappointing if unsurprising lack of bakunyuu JKs.
>>50351679by translate you mean actually rewriting the whole thing in english?
>>50351733A lot of it is just because of the setting so it talks about a bunch of old shit nobody is familiar with in the modern age so you have to research it. I read about a 1/3rd of it and got bored and dropped it though. Maybe one day I'll pick up again dunno.
>>50351756I extracted the script into a spreadsheet, went line by line rewriting the Japanese into English as I understood it at the time, inserted the English lines into the script and released the patch on /vn/. I think translation forces you to look at Japanese with a more critical/inquisitive eye than you otherwise would just reading normally--at least if your intention is as faithful a translation as possible. Really glad I did it though I regret not running spellcheck on the spreadsheet before releasing the patch
I accidentally fixed report 23 in Shigatsu Youka before reading the scribbles on it.Anything important I missed?
What VNs have melancholic monologue like WA2?
>>50351539Genji Monogatari is typical 古文 taught in Japanese schools. You might have mixed it up with 万葉集 which has older 上代語 from the Nara period and quite literally undecipherable in some places. In fact, the Classical Japanese in Genji Monogatari is quite readable compared to something like Old English if you don't get mixed up by the copious usage of archaic keigo. For example, a random sentence in Kiritsubo:>その夜、大臣の御里に、源氏の君まかでさせたまふ。作法世にめづらしきまで、もてかしづききこえたまへり。Only two words that are not in Modern Japanese are まかづ and もてかしづく。まかづ is old keigo for "go" and もてかしづく is close in meaning to もてなす。Not entirely comprehensible to an untrained person, but also not an entirely different language like the English in Beowulf, which is closer to German than Modern English. Not really any reason to read a modern translation unless you need to know what happens in the story for some purpose, but then you might as well just read the English translation. If you want to read it without being completely blind I'd recommend choosing a critical edition with philological notes and translation on the side.
>>50352090>reading the scribbles on it.That wasn't in the old version so I assume it's probably minor flavour stuff and not anything critical
>>50352221The cult being used by Unume seems pretty important. He hasn't shown up at all in the main story yet though.
>>50352213Huh really. I was under the impression that Classical Japanese was after the Heian period. I never really tried to seriously read something in classical Japanese. Haven't come across anything I was super interested in.
>>50352656It really depends on what you mean by "Classical Japanese." The language of the Nara period, the language of the Heian period, and the written language based on the latter that was used up until the Meiji era, is all called 古文 i.e. "Classical Japanese." I guess you could divide them into periods, but that's not any different from dividing Latin into Classical Latin, Medieval Latin, etc. They're all still Latin. Now this discussion has made realize how confusing the word "Classical Japanese" is. It should probably be called "Literary Japanese" or something instead.
75% of dejathere's a LOT of repetitive dialogue, and tons of filler preventing the story from progressingthe honeymoon phase is over...
>>50352213I have nothing but respect for people who choose to approach the original text, but my perspective (although I think I am much less informed on the subject than you seem to be) is that there's a lot of merit and a lot to be learned from immersing yourself in these historical works of literature as best as you can. For some people that's an English translation and for some that's a transcript of the original, and I'm sure for someone out there that's reading the calligraphy off a thousand-year-old copy in a museum. At my current skill level it's reading the modern renditions and anything beyond that makes my brain feel like a hamburger being flipped over and over again on a grill at best and hopelessly lost at worst.I think you're probably correct that an annotated edition with the original text and a modern Japanese rendition side-by-side is the overall best way to go about reading it, but I also don't think there's anything wrong with reading just the modern rendition first and then later advancing to that kind of critical edition upon rereading the book. Although perhaps my opinion on that will develop more as I gain more experience with classical Japanese literature.

>>50356612No? But I already read it in 2016. Its prety good.
>>50356364I see, that makes sense. I am in a bind since I like all the heroines so I am having trouble choosing. I might just make all the positive choices and see who I end up with. I also wasn’t super keen on bands either but I think the game does a reasonable job making band life relatable. I did also like Kira Kira so maybe I actually like band games. Can you give more reasons why you thought Ririkos route was okayish?
Come on, how do you make such a sexy design and only use it as a mascot instead of an actual character in the game you're making?

>I don't play games if many people like itLol, lmao even.
>>50359829Is it a bad thing to not be a brainless sheep who follows what's popular no matter what? Why would you want to be exactly like other people?
>>50359839correlation does not equal causation
>>50359839>what's popular no matter what?tiers are order by quality, not popularity, so you're just coping
>>50359843>Throw out vague intillectual phrase>do not explain>leaveokay
>>50359846>qualityWho do you define the quality of a story?
machinista child 1.06.659https://vik1ngfile.site/f/xtHywkCKzw
>>50359847"You are observing that many popular things are mediocre (Correlation). You are incorrectly assuming that being popular is what makes them mediocre (Causation).A VN can be popular because it is 'dumbed down' for the masses, sure. BUT, a VN can also be popular because the writing is genuinely incredible (e.g., Steins;Gate or Fate/Stay Night). If you refuse to play popular games, you aren't just avoiding 'midwit' trash; you are also avoiding the elite tier games that became famous because they are excellent.">>50359851do you like everything equally? what a weird question...
manosaba 1.1.1 https://vik1ngfile.site/f/5achbCgJ8L
>>50359839I personally prefer to form my own opinion on games. Saying you don't play games BECAUSE they are popular is just sheep behavior in reverse honestly.
>>50359846Your tiers are based on how much interracial sex is in the VN LMAO, one month is not enough for everyone to forget that
>You are incorrectly assuming that being popular is what makes them mediocreNo I'm assuming that being mediocre is what makes then popular, A translated VN will reach a wider audience and audience who has no idea about the other actually unique VNs that only exist in their native language, if they could understand Japanese they would realise that the mediocre VN is only average
>How dare you not like what everyone else likes!!!pottery
>>50359879So why do you think some of these games get translated in the first place
>>50359876no it's based on how many vndb users were life-changed but them. though it may correlated with interracial sex, i don't know because i don't really care about that>>50359879"Your theory falls apart because it ignores that these VNs are usually top-rated in Japan too, not just in the West. If they were actually 'mediocre' compared to the untranslated stuff, the Japanese players—who do have access to all those unique native games—would rate them poorly, but they consistently rank titles like Steins;Gate or Muv-Luv as masterpieces on enthusiast sites like EGS. We aren't liking them because we are ignorant; we are getting them because translation is expensive and acts as a quality filter, bringing over the 'Hall of Fame' titles that the Japanese community already vetted as the best, while leaving the actual 'mid' stuff untranslated."
>>50359887lil bro, your reading comprehension....
>>50359893>masterpiecesthey insist upon themselvesJust because everyone loves Naruto and One piece, does not mean they're maswerworks of anime they just garner the appeal of the masses, but what the masses like is all the same derivative shit that fulfills their basic desires.
>>50359903Comparing visual novels to Naruto is a false equivalence because VNs are a niche literary medium, not passive action entertainment. The "masses" looking for instant gratification or "basic desires" do not have the patience to read a 50+ hour text-heavy game; that barrier to entry naturally filters out the "midwits" you are worried about. Therefore, when a VN manages to become popular, it isn't because it’s "derivative shit" for the lowest common denominator but it’s because the writing is compelling enough to convince thousands of people to read a literal novel on a screen, proving it relies on narrative quality rather than cheap dopamine hits.
>>50359896>Say (Insert generic popular slop here) is the best>"agreed" "agreed" "agreed" "agreed">Say you don't think a popular thing is the best> "how dare you!" "urrmmmm actually" "lol, lmao, you're wrong, j-just because you're wrong!"I can see the writing on the wall
>>50359913you are supposed to read something before forming your own opinion... i think the word you're looking for is "prejudice"
>>50359910>. The "masses" looking for instant gratification or "basic desires" do not have the patience to read a 50+ hour text-heavy gameThen I guess Twilight is genuinely a masterpiece in literary fiction huh?
>>50359925>Twilightanother false equivalence because Twilight was commercially successful but critically panned. even at its peak, literary critics and a huge chunk of the public mocked its writing. in contrast, the "popular" VNs we are discussing (like Steins;Gate or MLA) hold the highest scores on enthusiast databases like VNDB and EGS, rated by hardcore veterans, not teenage casuals.
Umm...eto...how about you read whatever interests you?
i'm interested in reading good vns, not kusoge
>>50359946Exactly, peopel are too obsessed with wanting to fit in with the group, just bee yourself
DDLC is critically acclaimed so we can unanimously agree it's kami where everyone ought to read it.
>>50359925twilight is 10 hours long
>>50359971>DDLC is critically acclaimedon what planet?
>>50359972Lmao, this dude read Twilight!
>>50359976Round up to 7, it's pretty kami brofriend
>>50359977no but i know how to use google, thank you very much
>>50359976>rank 4uhhh that's pretty high
>>50359979dunno bro, i only read 8+ stuff, and kamige are only 8.75+ imo. maybe consider raising your standards? just a thought.>>50359981yup, ddlc is pretty popular.
Aren't VNs supposed to be pretty personal experiences? Like the girls you fall in love with you don't love because they're popular you love them because their story really hits you hardReading only what's popular in visual novels seems really weird to me
>>50359993>>50359989 is a troll, so you shouldn't take him seriously.
>>50359640Works every time.
>>50359993not everybody is a moebuta, a lot of people read vns because they like reading great stories, especially because every other medium is shit in comparison
>>50360000don't forget to google what troll means when you have some free time
>>50360000quads of truth
>>50359989ddlc is universally loved by everyone? guess you just don't have friends so you got only us to troll, brofriend...
>>50360023reading comprehension...
>>50360029reading comprehension...
I've noticed my reading comprehension increases when I'm jerking off
>>50360035looks like that one anon is still doing NNN lmao
aint reading that shit no matter how much you post it
lol somebody's mad
>>50360261Ok
>>50359993Nothing better than having an obscure favorite girl character
>>50360355It was painful in the past when nobody made art of them but thanks to AI that's not an issue anymore
>>50360355why should i care if a girl is popular or not?
>>50360364>AIWhy when you can learn to do it yourself?
I posted about World Actor few hours ago and theres over a hundred more replies. Guess someone spammed and schizos freaked out.
>>50360381Becasue it takes too much time to reach a high enough level, time I'd rather spend reading. And I don't have a strong enough interest in drawing despite studying graphic design in college
>>50360392Understandable, but for me it just feels so much more special to do it myself, like returning the favor, even if it is not high level.
>>50360406I'm sure it feels amazing to create art by hand, you only get the afterpleasure of appreciating art with none of the pure awe of realising it was actually made by you from AI.Keep up the good work anon.
>>50360406>>50360419Nooooo!!! You're supposed to mock each other!!!! Real artists are dumb vs Ai is soulless!!!
>>50360430
>>50360392To be honest, if I were this incompetent and lazy I'd rely on AI, too. Your ESL is also fucking terrible, by the way. You should start letting ChatGPT write your posts for you, they would unironically come out better.
>>50360499I don't have any friends and rarely talk to people, if I sound ESL that's why.
>>50359306>Maeda is a true geniusMost people working in the industry would agree with this. People may have forgotten now but during their golden age Key actually was more popular than even Typemoon. All three of their big works got adapted twice by both Toei and Kyoani while Tsukihime and Fate only got subpar adaptations by Deen.
>>50359577>I REFUSE to play these few games because it's popular>I'll play these other popular games thoughI think the problem is you, buddy.
>>50360691Those other ones aren't obnoxiously shilled
>>50360154So am I.
>>50360406Very nice, I decided to take the plunge and pick up drawing myself just a few days ago.
I-I love little girls!...
>>50361094
>>50360691Being overrated by retards dont make them good, specifically for things like midmasa and soap opera album 2
>>50361265What even is her appeal? Why would you like her in a show that has Sodachi, Senjo, Hanekawa, Nadeko
>>50361333she's cute and funny unlike everybody else
>>50361330What do you like if not WA2 or Muramasa? Silver Case or Ace Attorney or something? WA2 and Muramasa are excellent in ways so foundational to the VN medium that I can't imagine what would someone like if they dislike both at once.
>>50361342let him cope
Just ejaculated to the virginity taking h-scene
>>50361330Shit on kamige as much as you want, and please fuck off.Eroge and adventure games have a damn small niche audience, with the exception of two or three IPs (muvluv, fate, and some viral meme stuff). There are plenty of doujin works that you can read, that you'll probably end up dropping because of a dozen different excuses.
>>50357307Looks like I was mistaken, there wasn't actually an issue with the save file it's just that the VN was a love triangle (not mentioned in the tags) and you're forced to kiss and get into sexual situations with every one of the main girls in the common route.Fucking annoying. Average VN alround, ost was forgettable, story was average, romance could have been better, I guess the heroines were well written and interesting.
>>50361612>>50357307name of vn? you've gotten me interested
Demo's out.
>>50361801i'm actually just done with the ogi didn't do the flowershop girl but i liked ryoko and mizuho most
>>50359577>I don't play overly hyped VNs, If everyone loves it it's because it's slop that appeals to the lowest common demoniatoroh i remember you, you're the same retard who was saying this about Oretsuba around last Christmas
>>50361702Ren no Koi
>>50361801it's fucking horrible. if anyone was stupid enough to wait for this, just go for the og. way better in every way and i thought the doukyuusei remakes were preferable to the ogs
>>50362068Does it at least have an イージーモード like the doukyuusei remakes?
>>50362122yes. apparently i always picked the wrong one when mizuho comes to tell that you're in the same class this year too
