now, in order to not learn useless words every day, I try to pre mine so much that the frequency sorter has enough words to sift through to give me the ones I need most. if I stopped mining 100+ words per day, it would soon give me 50k+ frequency vocab to review. in order to prevent that I have to mine all day every day...

the downside is that it creates such a distance between the day of mining and the actual first review of said mined word that the strong connection to the word that mining your own vocab is supposed to help establish is all but destroyed and you may as well just use a 12k core deck or something instead lol.
