>Never carry a rimfire as your EDC, dummy
It never ceases to amaze me how people will parrot things without thinking about them.

l bet you've justified carrying a revolver by saying "muh reliability" too without thinking about why that is
>>
>>62856717
>>62856755
It's still a higher risk than centerfire, and even if it was a guaranteed 100% success rate, you're still carrying a fucking .22, you god damn idiot. Don't do that, you fucktard.
>>
>>62856765

Wow, so the gun will keep cycling when the bullet you needed that instant fails to fire and you are killed as a result, that's amazing.
A revolver that shoots shitty little varmint rounds and there's a not-insignificant chance that one of the chambers is basically empty isn't as good as six .38 slugs fucking shit up 100% of the time

>A revolver that shoots shitty little varmint rounds and there's a not-insignificant chance that one of the chambers is basically empty
Oh no it’s retarded. First, those “shitty little varmint rounds” are fully capable of getting sufficient penetration with modern ammo. Second, the chance of a misfire is statistically insignificant and rounds to zero. Seriously when is the last time you had a misfire on a .22?
>isn't as good as six .38 slugs fucking shit up 100% of the time
Well it’s 5 shots vs 8 shots since the vast majority of snubbies are 5 shots. It’s not like .38 is some powerhouse cartridge so “fucking shit up” is gross exaggeration.

I’m not going to sit here and say .22 is a great carry option. But be realistic. It’s perfectly fine for any encounter you’ll get into.

Yes they do. Honestly the action isn't bad either. It's not S&W smooth but I don't think the trigger is bad at all. It's a long DA but what else do you expect. I'm heading to bed but tomorrow I can post a picture of the cylinder, it's very thick compared to other Tauruses. The metal could be different but I don't see how it can't handle a shitload of rounds over it's life.

Yes. Haven't shot it yet but hope to this weekend. Assuming it shoots ok I really like it. Especially for $262 + tax and shipping.
>>62870849
It is. The manual says so too but you might find conflicting (incorrect) info on some video reviews.

I was going to post a picture comparing the cylinder walls vs a .357 Taurus 65 but it's hard to get a good picture. The Roscoe walls are .135" at the thinnest and the 65's are .095" at the thinnest. Yes they can use different steel and different heat treats, but I can't imagine a 42% thicker wall from the same manufacturer can't handle .38+P when the thinner wall handles .357. The Roscoe is basically a Taurus 856 (functionally) with a 5 shot cylinder instead of a 6 shot and 856s are all +P rated. .38 +Ps are only 20k PSI anyhow. I'm done ranting now and off to buy a trench coat, fedora, and pack of smokes.

Not at all. .38 gets memed as weak because it got outshone by .357 but in all honesty it can be a bit uncomfortable to shoot in most standard loads. That’s why I mostly shoot 148gr lead wadcutters. They bring the recoil down to roughly the equivalent of 9mm in a full size semi-auto. And they provide enough penetration to meet FBI standards.

Anon, I never sell parts of my collection but my 1910 Aladdin cigarette case/lighter combo would fit your LARP. It snaps open and sparks the lighter when you close the case. Pic same model similar condition (not freshly hand buffed)

I have around 220 petrol lighters from 1890 to 1956 I think. They just have style and man always needs fire so they aren't going to become useless.

This was a on the way home bringback from combat in nam in 1973 or so (bought from original owner). Tray, cedar cigarette box and top, ashtray and top, lighter and cover. All embossed, decorated all over.

I love mine. Sadly I need to sell it. How much do you think it’s worth?
>>
>>62882939
Depends, closer to 1k or even above that
>>
>>62882939
Why do you need to sell it?
>>
>>62881758
Claire is based. Hope it’s Her and Jill as the main characters in RE9
>>
>>62881758
You don't. It's a sick gun and Claire is awesome. Canonically she was 19 illegally carrying because fuck gun laws. Ok I made that 2nd part up but still.

She also has great genetics.

Still need to test this. My friend's father's gun. His landlady was freaking out and he didn't want it on the house so he gave it to me. He's not a gun guy and didn't want to throw it away. He knows I'll actually take care of it.
The single action is incredibly light. The double action is like dragging a truck axel across concrete.

It's seen and holster wear and was dropped at least once. It's a no dash from probably '69.
The lock up isn't rock solid, but I think it will be fine. You can feel it move but you don't see it.
Half price range day is tomorrow, I'll try to go this week.

Permanently? If not, maybe you could have someone hold onto it for you indefinitely. I know I would do that for one of my bros.
>>
>>62868864
thanks for putting me on to this.
>>
>>62889670
Yeah no problem. You should get one. It's nicer than I expected it to be and it looks really cool
>>
>>62886235
i prefer it when the double action is like that desu
lets you throw it in your pocket or when you are carrying it you can rest assured it absolutely cannot go off no matter what, there is zero possibility of a negligent discharge
when properly shooting, you should always be using single action but double action lets you just start firing wildly if say someone is right on top of you and aiming isnt really important
